EasyRaid  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 2.6
by: Soin [More]

The standard Blizzard Raid UI is quite pretty but not really convenient. Each time you start a raid, you have to drag and drop the groups and classes you want to display. EasyRaid solves this issue, your favorite set of groups and classes is automatically displayed (with the Blizzard Raid UI) as soon as you join a raid. In addition, EasyRaid enhances many aspects of the raid display: auto-ordering and positioning, buffs/debuffs, scaling, attacked player highlighting and a lot more.

EasyRaid is also the perfect companion for CT_RaidAssist or oRA2 (a CT_RA alternative). It fetches Main Tanks from CT_RA or oRA2, displays them in a wonderful way and reinvents Targets viewing. Give it a try to understand what I mean.

Features

  • Automatically display a complete set of groups and classes.
  • Main Tanks and Targets powerful display and management.
  • Main Tanks management is really simple, just drag and drop them!
  • Option to automatically set Main Tanks targets icons.
  • Option to highlight attacked players (better than target's target).
  • Range check feature.
  • In range dispellable debuff are flashing.
  • Aggro alert feature.
  • Pulsing effect on raid members who are being ressed.
  • Contextual menu on raid members with the all standard features.
  • CT_RaidAssist and oRA2 support.
  • Blizzard look and feel!
Changelog

Version 2.6 (May 24, 2007)
  • Most bugs occurred with the 2.1 patch should be fixed.
  • .toc updated to WoW 2.1 (20100).
Version 2.5.3 (January 10, 2007)
  • .toc updated to WoW 2.0.3 (20003).
Version 2.5.2 (January 9, 2007)
  • New pulsing effect on raid members who are being ressed.
  • Raid Info issue fixed.
Version 2.5.1 (January 6, 2007)
  • Bug fix: nil error if you use EasyRaid without oRA2 or CT_RA.
Version 2.5 (January 6, 2007)
  • Following the WoW 2.0 patch, I had to rewrite more than 75% of the EasyRaid code in order to conform to the new locked UnitFrames in combat mode. I also made a large cleaning and I restructured the whole for an integration of Ace2 soon!
  • Now the buffs and debuffs are simultaneously displayed. The buffs of long duration are masked in combat mode in order to free space for the short buffs like Renew, Shield, etc. The debuffs are displayed permanently and those which you can dissipate are highlighted with a flashing border if you are in range.
  • Addition of Shamans for the Alliance and Paladins for the Horde.
  • All known bugs were fixed.
  • Improved look and feel.

Although I haven't tested, WatchDog should work 100% with this mod, because its based on the Blizzard Raid UI. Feel free to test WatchDog out for click-casting support as well.

Kailef,

Good news: AceHeal was already working with Blizzard's raid UI. Because EasyRaid is based on Blizzard's raid UI, AceHeal works directly without any modification.

Bad news: There is a bug in AceHeal, depending on wich add-on are installed and the order they are loaded, AceHeal may try to hook RaidPulloutButton_OnClick before Blizzard_RaidUI is loaded.

I've fixed this issue with a little turn-around in the last version of EasyRaid (1.0.1). Now, EasyRaid detects if RaidPulloutButton_OnClick isn't properly hooked by AceHeal and re-hooks if necessary.

AceHeal is really nice, I'm going to use it myself! ^^

Soin,

Really? That would be excellent. Our entire guild would use your mod if it supported AceHeal.

AceHeal hasn't been updated in a few months, but I've modified it to keep it working with the latest patch. If Thisterhall (the original author) doesn't fix it soon, I'll upload my modified version. If you need to get your hands on the version I use, it's part of my guild's mod collection. You can download it at http://www.wowguild.com/PIF_Interface.exe and grab the modified AceHeal out of it.

Soin,

This is a very well designed and thought-out mod. Very nice. I can't use it unfortunately, because our guild uses several mods (AceHeal for example) that hook into the CTRaid frames to assist in casting healing spells, but... Anyone not needing that sort of functionality would surely be better off using EasyRaid. Blizzard should have designed their raid interface like yours from the start, I think. :-)
