OmniCC  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 6.0.4
by: jaliborc, Tuller

Need help? Check the Guide!

OmniCC is an addon that adds text to items, spell and abilities that are on cooldown to indicate when they will be ready to use. In other words: it turns all the standard analogue cooldowns into digital ones.

Anything should work with OmniCC, from the action bars to the inventory, from the standard interface to your favorite add-on.

Looks like OmniCC + Icicle crash wasn't quite resolved. Had one occur today with Cooldown Spiral model active in an arena game.

I can't tell if the /omnicc setengine command is functioning or not because when I try to type in /omnicc setengine classic, it pops up the omnicc configuration screen.

Oddly enough, the addon action blocked issue I had noticed in Dominos also has cropped up for OmniCC and i'm completely baffled.

["message"] = "[ADDON_ACTION_BLOCKED] AddOn \"OmniCC\" tried to call the protected function \"CompactRaidFrame1:ClearAllPoints()\".",
["time"] = "2011/04/16 09:01:08",

An update to the beta has been released. You can now type /omnicc setengine <classic | animation> instead of the /run command. Odds are, a full release will follow shortly afterwards.

Are there any way to make OmniCC not obey the alpha of the parent frame? I use Macaroon and have set abilities on cd to be 0.3 opaque. That is a value that enables me to quickly see what abilities are not usable. However, I would prefer if the timers were more visible.

If you're experiencing crash issues, please download the latest beta (4.1.pancakes). If you continue to experience crash issues after installing the beta, then try the following command:
/run OmniCC:SetUpdateEngine('ClassicUpdater'); ReloadUI()
That'll switch from using the animation system for timers to using the old OnUpdate script system. Its a less efficient system than the animation system, but it should resolve any crashes you may experience.

Finish Effect

**Finish effect threshold disregard my post

My finish effect is stuck on shine, I can't get pulse or even none to work for that matter. I've tried reloading my ui and wiping the config files. Any ideas? I'm also using blizzard bars.

The hopeful crash fixes are purely a shot in the dark, not sure if they'll fix you're issue or not. Thanks for another addon to take a look at, though, since I'm not able to reproduce the problem with Shadowed.

Curious about the most recent update stating "hopeful crash fixes".

I'm trying to run the Icicle addon available here: http://www.wowinterface.com/download...48-Icicle.html

Turns out if I enable the cooldown spiral model in OmniCC with Icicle enabled, this ends up causing WoW to crash. Easily fixed just disabling the cooldown spiral models.

Wondering if the crash fixes tries to address this or if you know how to work around this without flat out disabling the spiral completely.

This is a sample of one of the crash dumps I get if I enable the spiral with Icicle active:

Feature request: unless I overlooked it, you can't set the numerical cooldown to only display once the remaining cooldown is below a certain treshold, for example a 30sec CD showing up once the CD is below 20sec, but not earlier.

I better explain my particular interest in this, even if it's kinda niche:
As a feral with Stampede, I made a macro that displays the cooldown of Feral Charge, but uses Ravage. I also made Feral Charge to display the duration of the Stampede buff with InlineAura, but the cooldown number kinda distracts from the duration number, and as the CD is higher than the buff duration, it wouldn't matter while the buff is up.
I guess this could be expanded to every cooldown that gives a short-duration (de)buff, if the user cares to set up the individual buttons via groups (and uses IA, but honestly, who doesn't? :P)

i'm currently using the default unit frames and love the option to position the cooldown text at the bottom of my buffs/debuffs on my target frame. but i am wondering is it possible to do this on ouf layouts?

edit: problem solved!

im sure you have been asked this before so sorry if I bother you.
But is there a way or have you considered being able to move the numbers to specific place on action button?
instead of the middle lets say to the top left corner or exactly in the middle?

Yep, my code can be used under your conditions. OmniCC is distributed under the
MIT license nowadays, which basically gives you the ability to do whatever you want.

Yes, but its not within the scope of OmniCC. If an addon adds a cooldown display for internal cooldown stuff, OmniCC will display text for it, though.

Two ways:
#1: (the whitelist method)
* Disable cooldown text on the main group
* Create a new group, with cooldown text enabled.
* Add any item you want text to display on to that group.

#2: (the blacklist method)
* Create a new group with cooldown text disabled.
* Add any item that you want to not display text on to that group.

Code permission.

I have a hunter bar addon that I am adding in code to update timer text on a cooldown timer for freezing trap / wyvern sting expiration timers.

I am currently using tukui myself, but my addon is stand-alone and tukui includes a stripped down version of omnicc.

If someone uses omni/ nc/ tukui, this functionality is passed down to my addon. Which is great.

BUT In the case of people not using the above, I would like to implement the same omnicc code to my specific icon timers. (Nothing more)

Aside from omnicc, can i strip some of this code to use in my addon to allow timers for my icons where the above mentioned are not used by the player and not conflict with omni/nc/tuk?

I've already got permission to use the stripped omnicc code in tuk (because he stripped it down), and am now also asking you as the respective authors of omnicc.

Just trying to follow rules and do things properly, appreciate your help on this.

PS. I will comment where the code came from, respectively.
