OmniCC  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 10.2.5
by: jaliborc, Tuller

Overview
OmniCC is an addon that adds text to items, spell and abilities that are on cooldown to indicate when they will be ready to use. In other words: it turns all the standard analogue cooldowns into digital ones.

Anything should work with OmniCC, from the action bars to the inventory, from the standard interface to your favorite add-on.

im having a small problem but im not sure if its on my side.
both happen with Pulse and shine cooldown effect, when the cooldown is over both will make huge animations that will cover 1/4 or more of my screen.
been trying to find the issue with no success.

I think if you open up OmniCC\effects\pulse.lua

and change the line

Code:
local PULSE_SCALE = 3
to

Code:
local PULSE_SCALE = 1
it seems to fix the problem for me..

The animation flicker bug is on Blizzard's end. I've posted about it on the battle.net forums here:
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/to...27593?page=1#0

I've adjusted the defaults of OmniCC to have finished effects disabled until a resolution is found.

Can you explain what's the different between your 2 cd addons?
I think tullacc is more cpu & ram friendly, right?

tullaCC is a stripped down form of OmniCC. It only uses the animation system for timers, and features no in game configuration. In addition, it lacks a bunch of the stuff that OmniCC is able to do: finish effects, pulse, the tenths of seconds and MM:SS displays, and groups.

tullaCC also probably performs a bit better than OmniCC.

That's basically just the equivalent of turning off the pulse, you know :P

Just making a quick post to say that I've had two hangs with the animation engine active. The classic engine has never hung my client. TullaCC does not cause any issues.

I don't have any logical reason as to why that would be happening at this point in time.

I was experience extremely frequent lockups with the pancakes releases (usually within an hour, sometimes quicker, other times slower) so I reverted the update engine to classic. It seemed fine for a while, but then I experienced another lockup. I have since reverted to 4.0.waffles12 and it's been working well without issues for a few weeks once again.

When I was experiencing lockups, I found that reloading my UI would delay the next lockup; if I reloaded my UI or relogged every 30 minutes or so I could avoid it entirely that day. As soon as I'd forget to reload my UI, I'd lock up within an hour of my previous reload.

Do you happen to know what your memory usage looks like at that point in time?

Gush finally after months of random wow crashes I finally pinpointed the culprit: OmniCC! I have been using OmniCC since ever, I always keep it up to date via the curse client and I didn't even imagine that out of all the addons I use it was the one who was causing the crashes, when I disabled it I got no more crashes, what a relief it was specially because of the damage it was doing during raiding time. This was happening even before 4.1, wow suddenly stops responding and I need to force it to close via CTR-ALT-DEL and then when I quickly come back to the game it normally causes a wow fatal error for 1-2 times upon login in my char before I'm able to log in again.

I don't know what is wrong with your code but it's a shame not be able to use the addon anymore due to this issue.
