Recipe Radar  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.403
by: kernighan, ladenedge
Recipe Radar assists players in finding recipes. It knows about vendors who sell recipes in the current region or by profession. It has a number of filtering options and can even locate vendors on the world map.

Tips:
  • There are two "tabs": the main "radar" tab and one that searches by profession!
  • You can bind a key to Recipe Radar through the main menu!
  • There are lots of filtering options - use the dropdowns to customize Recipe Radar!
  • Some internal maps are inaccurate at this time, it is currently a work in progress to fix these up.

small conflict

There's a conflict with the plugin, Advanced TradeSkill Window Levels, since this addon, uses names to determine if a player knows a recipie, it doesn't recognize when a character has a recipie who's name is mdified. any suggestions to fix this, maybe like reading recipie ID's instead?

RecipeRadar do not have recipe/spell names database at all. (aside from known few links from items to spells, and even then they are done by ID and only because spell name and teaching item name has drastically different names/meanings)
It solely relies on yout client localization to understand what you know and what not.
If you're altering your client in unpredictable and inconsistent way, expect things to blow up in your face.
As workaround, I could suggest to shift+click trade skill at least once to let RecipeRadar gather information. (Read the ATSW manual for more info)

No it does not only rely on only ID's, look at your "WTF\account\SavedVariablesrecipieradar.lua", all the recipies there are saved in Name format, which is the database ATSW LEVELS PLUGIN is affecting. Reciepie Radar searches that database to determine if the player needs the recipie or not.

Your lack of general knowledge in computer science. Or your extremely outdated hardware that can't handle 0.5% increase in memory demand of a single application.

Yet again, it's YOUR LOCAL SAVED VARIABLE, not something that is included in RecipeRadar code.
I still correct,

I still correct,
you're an idiot, it is recipie radar that creates those LOCAL SAVED VARIABLEs, therefore it is a problem with recipie radar. apparently you don't know how to code as well as you think, otherwise you would know that local saved variables are not automatically made up by WoW, it is in the addon code that reads and tells WoW exactly what those LOCAL SAVED VARIABLEs are named, valued, etc.

it's all the maps that recipie radar uses, every zone has it's own individual map that the addon uses, it's possable to have this done in a different manner using already in game resources, but that would take up extra cpu cycles in place of using less ram and HD space. so for most systems it's more efficient in the current method.

Do you intend to post this in comments of every addon you're using just in hope to get positive responce?
I already saw you posted it in 2 threads.

Its called confusing mods... and I apologize if Ive hurt anyones feelings "sarcasm" but as the saying goes $hit happens.

Anyway it turns out my problem is with the Dailies Quest Tracker mod so joking aside I am sorry.

I never pointed this out til now but figured I would since a 3.2 update should be incoming. Anyway, I seem to have issues where vendors are being shown for me to buy from when Ive gotten all available recipes from them. Theres also a few minor quirks but nothing annoying like this.
