BigWigs is a boss encounter add-on. It consists of many individual encounter scripts, or boss modules; mini add-ons that are designed to trigger alert messages, timer bars, sounds, and so forth, for one specific raid encounter. These encounter scripts are activated when you target or mouse over a raid boss, or if any other BigWigs user in your raid does. In most cases only one module will be running at any given time.

If you're looking for boss encounter scripts for 5-man dungeons, these are not in Big Wigs, but live in their own add-on; LittleWigs.

Sorry if my question wasn't clear, English is not my forte, what I meant was, not that BigWigs decides who goes in, I meant by my question, is to show (Who actually is inside right now), as who went inside the realm, how can I see this? on DBM it used to show who is inside right now.

BigWigs doesn't decide who should go in, that's up to your raid to decide. You can use the BigWigs AltPower display to help you see who has a lot of corruption.

hey, I recently switched to bigwigs, can I ask how to see the people going into the other realms on Norushon? I'm sure they must be shown, but I can't see the list of names

The latest Big Wigs introduces a break timer. Try:

/break 5

for a 5 minute break timer complete with warnings. This will sync with the raid and also be sent to DBM users.

I'd say DBM is more CPU use because of its animation bars but I'm nur shure.
BigWigs dosen't have timers for doungens and mobs (there is a LitleWigs version for it) thats one of the reasons I like bigwigs more then dmb

I'd say it's more user-friendly, more customizable (I tinker with the individual boss fights a lot depending on my role) and has a better GUI.

My favorite part of it is the plugin support.

Try it out and see if you like it, if you don't you can always switch back.

Difference from DBM?

DBM is the big popular choice for encounter mods, but I've heard a lot of people talk about Big Wigs. I'm wondering what the difference is? Is it more user-friendly? Is it harder to set up? Is it CPU light?

Sorry if these questions are dumb, I am just barely looking at it and have no idea how it works.

Is there a way to disable the message countdown on pulls in BigWigs?

Norushen AltPower

While we've had AltPower support for a few weeks now, we hadn't yet enabled it for Norushen due to issues with the encounter itself. The Blizzard power function returns false values for anyone other than yourself (it randomly gets stuck at 75), you may have noticed this if you've been looking at your unit frames or another addon that measures power on Norushen. This is most prominent if you've just come out of the other phase into the normal realm, everyone will report as 75 power, which is wrong.

To combat this we implemented power syncing so that everyone sends their own power to the raid, which is now viewable in the latest release of BigWigs. To my knowledge BW is the only addon to implement this functionality and as so will always have correct power values displayed in the AltPower frame.

You may notice that some players have a value of -1, this means:
  • That player is using an out-of-date BigWigs and should update.
  • That player is using an out-of-date DBM and should update.
  • That player isn't using a boss mod.

This syncing functionality also has the added benefit of being able to see power values of phased players (in the other realm), instead of it appearing as 0.

This is somewhat improved in the latest release (we only open proximity when it's close to Catalyst)

Any plans on allowing us to emphasize when Xaril the Poisoned Mind (Siege of Org: Paragons of Klaxxi) is casting a Catalyst that would affect us? (Especially for heroic mode when its Orange/Purple/Green)
