BigWigs Bossmods  Updated less than 3 days ago!  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

BigWigs is open source and development is done on GitHub. You can contribute code, localization, and report issues there: https://github.com/BigWigsMods/BigWigs

Introduction

BigWigs is a boss encounter add-on. It consists of many individual
encounter scripts, or boss modules; mini add-ons that are designed to
trigger alert messages, timer bars, sounds, and so forth, for one specific raid
encounter.

Looking for functionality that BigWigs doesn't cover? Try these addons:

* LittleWigs is a plugin for BigWigs and covers all forms of 5 man and solo content.
* Capping covers various battleground and world PvP timers.
* oRA3 covers all sorts of raid management functionality including raid cooldowns and Battle Res counting.
* Old content can be installed by looking through the 'Other Files' menu or doing a search on WoWI and installing the appropriate expansion addon.

Feedback

Please remember that we are always interested in hearing directly from you.
About anything you want to share or ask. You can report issues on GitHub
or contact us on Discord.

Our goals

When raiding, a high framerate is important. We understand that every extra
frame matters, so BigWigs aims to be as efficient as possible. The
memory/second and CPU/second footprint of BigWigs is the lowest of all boss mod
addons.

When modules are written, every aspect of the encounter is inspected. Is add-on
synchronisation required? Is target scanning required? What events are really
needed?

We also aim to have the latest encounter scripts released ASAP; not long after
the first few attempts of a brand new boss, we usually have a working encounter
script for it.

Credits

Thanks to the wonderful WoW community for help with transcripts, translations,
libraries, etc. This addon is powered by you.

Sure. It was difficult to catch the error since I was running an embedded bugrabber and it filled my chatbox non stop for a few mins. I realise it was a shitty bug report but now you know it can return nil and blow up the loop. Given it was Blast Furnace LFR, I can only assume someone in the proximity table died during the range checks. I'll check it out next reset.

That line is the start of one of our proximity functions, and halfway though most of the other ones. If you get the error again, please just copy and paste the full error, including the backtrace.

The latest release now separates countdown and emphasize. Emphasize being for large warnings, and countdown being for the voice countdown. Countdown can now be configured to start between 1-10 seconds. Also new, selectable countdown voices have been added. These countdowns can be changed globally or per ability.

Perhaps someone here can assist with this. I am trying to add say prompts to various boss attacks and I am running into trouble. I want to say for instance Berserker Rush on PLAYER. I currently have it calling out each time but instead of the actual players name it says my name each time.

I am using:
self:Say(158986)

Does anyone know the command to change this to display the targets name in there instead of mine?

The latest release adds exact X/Y positioning for bars/proximity/altpower and expands on the boss block module to add blocking for intrusive garrison popups during a boss fight.

BW modules are load on demand. They don't consume resources until you enter the zone, deleting them is pointless.

But to answer the question, "soon".

Releasing another quick update to fix issues with the new configuration GUI (not being able to open the main options at a boss) and to fix a few errors on Imperator Mar'gok.

Latest release now has our remade configuration GUI which is independent of Blizzard's options. We've also merged all the options into 1 window so there's no toggling back and forth. Currently the boss options are still using the Blizzard panel, this will change in a future release. We'll also be making further tweaks to the main configuration GUI as needed.

Re: Cannot find a library instance of

You've screwed up something with your addon setup. I would recommend you try reinstalling clean.
