Description:

MSBT is designed to be an extremely lightweight, efficient, and highly configurable mod that makes it easier to see combat information by scrolling the information on the screen in separate, dynamically creatable scroll areas. It is a replacement for Blizzard's Floating Combat Text and Damage output.


Features:
  • Lightweight and efficient design.
  • Scroll incoming damage/heals, outgoing damage/heals, and notifications in separate configurable scroll areas on the playing field.
  • Display player and pet cooldown completion alerts.
  • Display loot alerts with a total of how many are now in inventory.
  • Add triggers that will allow you to show notifications based on a variety of conditions.
  • Assign a sound file to play for events/triggers.
  • Dynamically create new scroll areas and assign any event/trigger to them.
  • Customize the position, size, animation style, enabled state, font style, font size, font outline, and opacity for each of the scroll areas.

Hi, new user to this addon but love it allready. I just want to know if there is an option that disables the text that pops up when targeted enemies do stuff, I just want to see when my cooldowns get back.

I've been using MSBT for years and years now, I've run into this issue before but just ignored it, but ran into it again and figured I'd mention it.

When you have a LOT of stuff going on (ex:I recently decided to go get the 50 whelps spawned from onyxia achiv on my prot warrior) even before the mobs start to hit me, my game starts to really slow down, and once they do my game practically stops. Logged out disabled msbt, log back on try again, game slows down a little bit but is absolutely playable. I'm running an i5 with a radeon HD 5850 with 8gigs of ram, so my game really shouldnt crawl down to 1 fps every 5 seconds for pretty much any reason lol

Either way I still use MSBT, love the mod, love all the work thats been put into it! Just thought I'd give this a mention

Since 5.2, MSBT is now showing all of my dispels as Purify Spirit (the spell I cast), rather than the aura that was dispelled.

I'm having the same thing happen, rather frustrating. Does the same for spellsteal, mass dispel, purge, and icy touch (glyphed) dispel.

Blizzard seems to have a bug in the combat log reporting for dispels. I'll release a workaround for it until they fix it shortly.

Edit: This is now fixed in MSBT 5.7.127.

1) Is it possible to shorten the merge trailer? Instead of having [3 Hits, 1 Crit] I'd like to have [3, 1].
2) Is it possible to apply the Shorten Numbers options only for selected scroll areas, i.e. Incoming Heals/Damages but leave Outgoing to shows full numbers?

Musthave addon.

Just installed this add-on and find it helpful so far. However, I would like to change some settings and use a thinner font. The problem is that when I try to load "MSBT", I get the message "Could not load MSBT" " MSBT had been disabled".
Im assuming that MSBT is the configutation/settings? (Add on Control Panel tells me MSBT's an optional load)

Other than that semi-major issue, everything seems to function fine.

Thanks for a great add-on. Cant wait to get the settings sorted out.

I don't really remember exactly which site I got the original sound effect, but it was a site that offered royalty free sound effects (probably freesound.org). I then modified it slightly to improve volume level and tonality.


Draigars:

The only way to modify the merge trailer would be in the code itself (MSBTMain.lua around line 699).

Change the following lines from:

For your second question, there is not a way to change shorten numbers behavior per scroll area.

As the error message indicates, MSBTOptions is disabled. Look at the Addons button on your character select screen and notice it's unchecked in there.

Hi! Really nice and smooth addon. But I would like to try it with only the text popping up when my own cooldowns get back. Is there a way to configurate this?

Check out the MSBT change log. It's pretty detailed about which versions are updated to support various WoW patches.

Opiedemus:

In the options, go to Events. There are events for most things. The dropbox at the upper right allows you to select categories like Incoming, Outgoing, Notifications, etc.

For Aura Application events, should the Amount condition be comparing against the 16th parameter of the associated SPELL_AURA_APPLIED combat log event?

I have a trigger set up as:
Classes: Priest
Event: Aura Application { Source = You, Skill ID = 17, Amount > 1 }
Exception: Unavailable Skill = Divine Aegis

If I remove the Amount, it works.

Im looking for melee crits and skill crits to be sticky but there is no icon ticker!
why missing? what can i do to make these sticky?
