Description:

MSBT is designed to be an extremely lightweight, efficient, and highly configurable mod that makes it easier to see combat information by scrolling the information on the screen in separate, dynamically creatable scroll areas. It is a replacement for Blizzard's Floating Combat Text and Damage output.


Features:
  • Lightweight and efficient design.
  • Scroll incoming damage/heals, outgoing damage/heals, and notifications in separate configurable scroll areas on the playing field.
  • Display player and pet cooldown completion alerts.
  • Display loot alerts with a total of how many are now in inventory.
  • Add triggers that will allow you to show notifications based on a variety of conditions.
  • Assign a sound file to play for events/triggers.
  • Dynamically create new scroll areas and assign any event/trigger to them.
  • Customize the position, size, animation style, enabled state, font style, font size, font outline, and opacity for each of the scroll areas.

Event Trigger for Ascendance

Hi - So I was making some triggers for Player Cooldown Complete for my shaman. I'm basically just playing a sound when the talent comes off CD. I got to ascendance and ran into an issue and I think its because of the way it works. With other talents I've been making triggers for, the CD timer starts right when you use the talent. However, with ascendance - the CD timer does not start until ascendance has worn off so I get the alert that its ready right after I use it.

Would there be a way to get around this by using different trigger Events instead of just Player Cooldown complete?

XP gain

Hi! I really love the addon but the only problem I have that when I gain EXP from monsters, gathering, quests or anything, the addon displays the EXP gained (which I like) but so does the WoW Interface (you know, big purple numbers on my chracter), so I was wondering is there a way to disable WoW's EXP Display and Only use the addon to display gained EXP notification?

No Blizzard does not have any accessible code functions to do this.

Open MSBT options (type /msbt in chat)

Under Partial Effects in the General Section remove the '< >' from the types of partial effects you want to have not show said brackets.

Remember to save the profile.

Rogue and posion

Hello, is there An option to turn off Deadly posion procs, by this i mean once you have an application of deadly posion running on the boss/dummy, what ever, and it applys it again it procs ''extra'' dmg


Your Deadly Poison hit Raider's Training Dummy 13896 Nature. <- is the proc if you already have the dot runnign and it applys deadly posion again which is what i want to turn of because its to spammy.

Your Deadly Poison damaged Raider's Training Dummy 26989 Nature. this is the rolling dot, which i know how to turn off under ''events -> skill dots'' check box unticked when i do that it still keeps showing the deadly posion proc

also filtering it out doenst work, it only filters out the dot which is useless.

I just wanted to confirm, this is in fact a bug, or something is fishy here. It says the Ascendance cooldown is ready when you use Ascendance, instead of when the cooldown is up i.e. the spell is ready to be cast again.

Would love to see this fixed! Great addon.

turn on/off msbt stays the same with different profiles

When i try to turn off msbt on one character, it turns off on all the other characters aswell. Is there a away around this? so it stays on/off depending on what character i am logged on?

I have different profiles on all my characters.

Dispel Bug

5.3 reintroduced the dispel bug... yay!

What needs to be changed in the LUI file to fix this? Trying to get this working for raid tonight.

Sound MIA

Seems (from my side anyway) even with .ogg or .mp3 converted correctly or etc, somehow blizz has mangled things up once again. I cannot hear my sound files while in a raid group and off and on on certain toons or different times. Leave it to blizzard to mess up the most retarded things.

Hy all i am italian boy and i have a problem.....
msbt dont show me looted item when i looted mob,fishing..ecc
i use italian client and all option in looted item is check on...i dont know why don t see anything i hope can help me pls...

re help ...whit loot item

no to a suggestion for me? because to me it does not work on the loot system?
maybe I have to check or remove the check mark, in the interface of the game? well it works for you, makes you see the loot?
I will not have to change addon, I like this ... (the parrot works I tried).
why this should not?

MSBT and dynamic profile switching

This is a question I've had on my mind for some time, but never really gotten around to raising: Is there a way to switch profiles dynamically in MSBT, specifically based on group type? If not, would it be difficult to add?

To illustrate the point: In solo play, I would probably enable all buff/debuff applications/expirations and set the spam thresholds to nearly zero, because there isn't much going on so it wouldn't be all that spammy. However, set foot into a raid group, and you're getting buff/debuff messages out the wazoo, and as a tank you're getting spammed with heals all over the place. In a raid group, I set pretty high throttling thresholds and turn off buffs/debuffs to minimize screen clutter.

However, that means that I have to manually change profiles every time I enter/leave a group, unless I've missed this functionality somewhere in the mod.

What I'm thinking is a dynamic profile switching system. It doesn't seem like it would be all that hard:
-Create two profiles "Default" and "Raid" (or maybe "Solo" instead of "Default")
-Check for "GROUP_ROSTER_UPDATE" event; if in party, set to Raid profile. Otherwise, set to Solo profile.

I was half tempted to put together an addon to do this for myself, but it seems like the several hours it would take me to do so are better spent elsewhere (Simcraft) given that it's probably a 30-minute change for someone that knows the addon more intimately.
