Extended Ignore frame with timestamps and reasons
IgnoreMore   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
IgnoreMore will:
  • Let you ignore more than 49 players
  • Share the same ignore list between all players on the same realm (and faction).
  • See when someone was ignored
  • Give a reason for why the person is ignored
  • NOT respond with "X is ignoring you" (unless the person was initially added to the system Ignore list before IgnoreMore was installed)

The "/ignore" command is also extended with a second parameter giving a reason directly, e.g. "/ignore Mikk : loudmouthed guy". You can also double-click lines in your ignore list to edit these comments.

Latest release: 1.1.0
- WoW 3.2 compatible
- Now traps invites from ignored people. The first time in a session, a notice is shown, along with why you ignored the person.

Possible glitches?

1) My ignore list seems to be auto-clearing itself randomly.
2) If I've got someone on ignore and they /say something, I can still read it.

I rather leave a group than playing with people who make it on my ignore list. It's hard to get there but if you do, you deserve it.
Same here... when i get invited to a group, I find myself having to browse my ignore list to see if someone in my team is into it. I would love if ignore more would tell me it: "X, Y, Z are on your ignore list".

Could you make this addon to block group invite? It is very annoying when someone you ignored start to spam you invites.

Some information that might help you:

Code:
DeclineGroup()
--is to decline a group invitation and a player invite will come into the following format:

Quote:
[Name] has invited you to join a group.

I would edit the addon myself but im still learning lua but i think im close to fix it :P

Ive got another problem:

There is one player asking me since two weeks, wheather i'm HEAL or DD (i'm a MAGE...) and wants me to invite to raids. I told him often, i'm a MAGE so i'm a DD and that i'm not interested in his 10 or 25 raids. But he kept asking me. After I ignored him with IgnoreMore, i' now receiving very annoying group invites from him. Even if a decline, another invite comes up 1 or 2 minutes later. After a few tries he gives up and starts the same thing later or the next day...

I realy would love this toggle to disable all kind of group communication with blocked chars.

Dudes having the SpamMeNot problem with IgnoreMore, I have an alternative, forget SMN which is no more updated and go for funkydude's BadBoy, no conflicts detected here and BadBoy is so far more lightweight and as efficient than big bro SMN.

Hope it help!

I actually changed that on purpose; party and raid messages are now not ignored at all. I figured that if you had someone on ignore for being a turd in Trade, you might still need to see what they said if you grouped with them (and if you detested them enough that you wouldn't group with them at all).

I guess a config toggle might be an idea...

anyone knows something about the issue with realm pools with spaces? or the option to autoreply with a custom message to ignored people? or knows a different addon without these problems?
ive also found another bug:
- Raid leaders are not ignored
this might be annoying on 1k-Winter open pvp, if the leader is spamming his silly autojoin spam crap.

EDIT: Now a while later, after un-ignoring and re-ignoring that player, I actually see his name, not sorted alphabetically, but at the end of my ignore list. I'm sure I did look at the end of the list earlier too, though... Maybe I missed it.

And also, I think I saw in Prat3 RC10's changelog that it now passes args correctly. That version is only available on curse though, not here .
SpamMeNot conflict and the author is very slow patching it so do like me open SMN's core.lua and comment disable all these lines:

Code:
--	self:RegisterEvent("CHAT_MSG_WHISPER")
--	self:RegisterEvent("CHAT_MSG_WHISPER_INFORM")
--	ChatFrame_AddMessageEventFilter("CHAT_MSG_WHISPER", SpamMeNot.ChatFrameFilter)
--	ChatFrame_AddMessageEventFilter("CHAT_MSG_WHISPER_INFORM", SpamMeNot.ChatFrameFilter)
--    ChatFrame_RemoveMessageEventFilter("CHAT_MSG_WHISPER", SpamMeNot.ChatFrameFilter)
--    ChatFrame_RemoveMessageEventFilter("CHAT_MSG_WHISPER_INFORM", SpamMeNot.ChatFrameFilter)
This will disable SpamMeNot to work with Whispers and no more conflicts with IgM's ignored players whispering you. I get more whisp of ignored players than spammers here so that's a temp solution until the author builds a better code.

this addon is soooo great. thanks a lot!!
BUT PLEEEEASEEEE addd an option to ignore people from realms with spaces in their names.
although i've ignored almost all BG noobs, spammers, whiners and flamers, i cannot ignore anyone from "Die Nachtwache" or "Der abyssische Rat" - And they seems to spam the most ^^
But again thanks for the great work so far.

Hmmm... I discovered some problems:

1) Doesnt block group invite
2) Doesnt block chat bubble
3) Doesnt block them to chat in party/raid whatever

Thank you mikk else would be nice you get a look on my custom mod Im using here if you want to include the idea or anyone else that wants to include the idea here is how I made mine:

CUSTOM modification to reply text + reason to a blacklisted player whispering you

open IgnoreMore.lua

find

Code:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
-- Our chat filtering function, installed via ChatFrame_AddMessageEventFilter

local function IgM_FilterFunc(msg)
	if list and type(arg2)=="string" and arg2~="" and type(list[arg2])=="table" then
		if event=="CHAT_MSG_WHISPER_INFORM" then
			return false, msg.."  (NOTE: You are ignoring this player!)";
		end
		return true
	end
end
replace to

Code:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
-- Our chat filtering function, installed via ChatFrame_AddMessageEventFilter

local function IgM_FilterFunc(msg)
	if list and type(arg2)=="string" and arg2~="" and type(list[arg2])=="table" then
		if event=="CHAT_MSG_WHISPER_INFORM" then
			return false, msg.."  (NOTE: You are ignoring this player!)";
		elseif event=="CHAT_MSG_WHISPER" then
			if IgM_Last and IgM_Last==arg2 then return true end
			if list[arg2].reason then reason = list[arg2].reason else reason = "none" end
			SendChatMessage("Sorry I can not see your messages because you are blacklisted, reason: " .. reason, "WHISPER", nil, arg2)
			IgM_Last=arg2
		end
		return true
	end
end
This will whisper back only 1 time to the blacklisted whispering you the text + reason and by that way you could see that someone in your blacklist attempted to contact you.

Aha. I think I have it. Reading through the source code of SpamMeNot, it becomes pretty obvious that when it is delaying messages (waiting for the result of /who lookups), it ends up hiding the sender from other chat filters. (Tech mumbojumbo: the global 'arg2' does not hold the sender name anymore when it relays the message to the chatframes)

There's no way for me to fix this; it has to be fixed in SpamMeNot.

Edit: I reported this issue to the SpamMeNot author: http://wow.curseforge.com/projects/s...obably-others/
