Summary:
DamageMeters monitors damage and healing done by and to yourself and other nearby players. It keeps a running total for each player and displays the information as a bars chart in a frame on the screen. It is perfect for real-time comparison of the various members of your party or raid. At any time the text results can be output as "says", to raid or party chat, or whispered to another player. Many console commands exist for customizing the meters: type "/dm help" for a listing.

FAQ:

Q: Why the "-AL"?
A: Dandelion, the orig author, has retired from WoW. AnduinLothar (me) modified v5.0.0 from Cosmos because that version works with English, German and French clients. AnduinLothar has no long term plans to enhance functionality and would gladly hand over maintenance to someone else, but decided DamageMeters had a large enough user base that it deserved to be updated to use the 1.12 addon communication API.

Q: MY DM WINDOW DISSAPPEARED!
A: Use "/dm resetpos". This should make the DM frame visible and put it against the right side of the screen.

Q: What happened to the "Reset Each Combat" option?
A: It was made irrelevant. DamageMeters now keeps in essence two full sets of information: one normal, and one set that applies only to the latest fight. This second set, the Fight set, is what provides the information for the DPS, HPS, DTPS, and HTPS quantities. Those quantities are basically the normal quantities but divided by the duration of the fight. If you turn off the "Visible Quantity\Show Fight Data As Per/Second" option you have what is in essence the same thing as what you had before with the "Reset Each Combat" option.

Q: Why can't DM just automatically sync?
A: v5.1.0 has a BETA auto-sync option. This will sync when you lave combat once every three (3) minutes. In previous versions this was left out for the following reasons: Primarily because sync'ing takes a long time. There is just a lot of data to transmit, and since WoW likes to boot clients that send data too quickly DM transmits it slowly. If you are having problems with frame lag or being disconnected randomly you should disable auto-sync and do it manually after boss fights.

R.I.P. Damage Meters

Well my favorite addon no longer works with the 4.0.1 update, it shows the meter frame but it makes the game lag like hell, slows fps down to 5, and clicking it doesn't do anything, you can't right click it or move it or anything anymore.

You can still use /dm commands to hide and show it but thats about it, the addon no longer records dps.

I'm very sad to see this go, I greatly preffered this over other damage meters, I wish someone would take it over and update it.

I have always used this addon for my damage count, easy to use and i dont like the other ones basicaly... i can have it on what i want and if need be it gets straight to the point... especialy with total damage done!! i dont want to try and figure out what is out of what and for what... i just like to see how close or far off i am from the rest of the ppl, and for this i use this addon. love it, but now it seems to have issues with the 4.0 cath patch that just poped in... despite hating the patch alot for my main... i still need a good addon, and it now cant be used.. would love to get it updated for this patch so i can have a great addon, ty very much for reviewing my post

Best Damage Meter

This is my favorite damage meter and heres why...

It auto adjusts between 1 to 40 players and you can set the anchor too, I like to place it above my combat log but no other damage meter will let me set it to grow upwards, this one does.

You can set it to reset on each new combat or keep gathering for the whole instance, I prefer each new mob which no other addon will let me set.

Has a ton of config options for which types of data you want to record, and lets you remove them too, for me I only want to see dps and healing, other damage meters force me to record everything when I only want 2 things.

And finally the appeare settings work perfectly, I can set it to show only in groups plain and simple, others like recound kept poping up when I didn't want them or wouldnt go away after an instance.

This is my favorite damage meter indeed but im so sad it hasn't been updated in a wile, it really deserves it. However I do not notice any problems in 3.3.2, it still works fine. Great addon!

any chance someone (who knows what they are doing when it comes to modifying mods, which probably rules me out) to put up an modified version of the TitanDamageMeters mod with the fix camealion suggested?

or if someone has already done this, could someone please provide a link to the page to download the working version of TitanDamageMeters from?

I cant seem to get the dps to show for all the fights. It keeps resetting after each encounter. Is there a way to stop this? so i can see what people's dps is at the end of the raid? not for each encounter?
