OzRaid   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Reccomended with: oRA2, Clique!

OzRaid is a raid/party window 'construction kit', designed to let you build clickable showing health/mana/buffs/debuffs/etc. for raid members and or targetted mobs.

Unlike other mods, this lets you build custom windows depending on what information you need only. For example, a raid leader may want to see the whole raids health status along with the major buffs (AB, Fort, Pink paw, etc.) so they can see at a glance if everyone is buffed & ready. Healers can show certain groups or classes (or the CT/oRA2 Main Tanks) on special big bars that only show current HoTs & debuffs, with the health deficit shown in the new 'Big K' numbers that show you quickly & easily what size heal to use. DPS'ers can make a replacement for the default 'Main Tanks Target' window, which will not only show raid icons (very useful for targetting when the raid leader is shouting 'kill the orange' in a mass of mobs), but also can be customised to show only the debuffs you care about - such as Curse of Elements, Sunders etc.

You can even make non-clickable info windows, for example all the raid members within 30 yards who are in groups 2 & 4 who dont have your class buff. These let you make reminders that will pop up if anyone in your assigned groups requires a rebuff & they are in range. There are too many different combinations to list, so the best thing to do is start with a preset and play with all the options till you work out what you want!

Basically, for each window you can specify the input units (i.e. my party, the raid, targetted mobs, Main Tanks, etc.) and then apply filters (hide based on class, group, etc.) Finally pick the display options that suit you, and which buffs/debuffs you want to see on the bars. Simple!

Fully compatable with Clique & other click-to-cast mods that use Cladhaire's system for registering clickable windows, so I reccomend using these for click-cast decursing & the like!

Frequently Asked Questions:
---------------------------

'I made a window but I cant click on the bars!'
With patch 2.0, Blizzard forces any 'clickable' window to be locked during combat. What this means is the unit ID for a bar cannot change in combat. So, if you have selected any option in the OzRaid options that would require the units to change (i.e. filtering or sorting out people based on range, health status). These options are still there after 2.0 so you can make info windows such as an emergency monitor, but unfortunately this means you cannot click to target or cast.

'So.. isn't it like CT Raid Assist?'
No. All it does is show unit health/mana bars (and raidicons, buffs etc.). It doesnt provide any of the other cool things CT does (like boss warnings, and many more) This addon was written simply to provide a smaller & neater overview of the raid than the CTRaid and Blizzard party frames. But it now does so much more.
It also works in parties & solo as well as raids

UPDATE: CTRaid is apparently discontinued, so to get the same effect, use oRA2 instead. Ozraid will integrate with this to show main tanks (& allow you to set main tanks via the right-click menus on the player bars)

Slash Commands
-------------------
/ozraid [n]
/oz [n]
Open/close window [n], if no window specified (orit can't find it) it opens the options instead.

/oz reset
Reset config to default (one raid frame, one raid pets frame, a Main Tanks, and a Main Tanks Target window, all with the default buff config applied)

/ozbuff record
Start recording buffs/debuffs seen. these will appear in the buff panel under 'RECORDED'. There are a LOT of them! Use this to add buffs/debuffs that are not already listed, i.e. boss debuffs & the like.

/ozbuff stop
Stop recording!

Please tell me the name & texture name of any you find using this, and I can add them to the list of known buffs

Please read the README in the zip file - much more detail & some tutorial frames!

  Change Log - OzRaid
v1.79
-------------------
Updates for new patch
Updated LibHealComm
Added debuffs for first two colliseum bosses

v1.78
------------------
Fixed bug with debuff count not hiding
Added more buffs/debuffs to the defaults including lots of Ulduar boss ones

v1.77
-----------------
MAJOR UPDATE...
Fixed a load of bugs
- Embedded LibHealComm, so you dont need to install that seperately
- NEW BUFF SYSTEM & Options overhaul
Can configure buffs to show in/out of combat, can set colours for debuffs, can force buffs to hide - loads of stuff! Added some basic Ulduar boss debuffs - you can add your own using the recorder as you need em (see below). Pretty cool having stone-gripped people highlighted with white bars - makes healing them a doddle.
- 'Buff Recorder' (BETA)
Type '/ozbuff record' to start recording buffs seen. You can then select them in the buff panel (under the heading 'RECORDED') and set them to show/colour/etc. This means you can add your own buffs/debuffs if they are missing! Wooo! Type '/ozbuff stop' to stop recording.
- If all goes horribly wrong, type '/oz reset' to get a default config back.
- Can COPY windows! Much easier setting up multiple windows for groups/classes by just copying from one that works nicely.
- Added many more buffs to the list, including flasks! Useful to set these to show out of combat if you are raid leading

KNOWN ISSUE: 'Mana by Class' aggregated input is totally broken. I don't know why, but it is

v1.75b
-----------------
(Sneaky beta release pre-patch. Im expecting patch to only need a version change anyway)
LibHealComm-3.0 supported - see Incoming heals! Wooo!!

Some minor bugfixes (Arcane Blast wont show up as dispellable! I am planning a complete rework of buff/debuff display when I get the time for it)

v 1.74
-----------------
Edited ToC for OzRaid... It seems that in 3.0.3, Blizz have screwed up the Dependancies/OptionalDependancies so it ends up trying to load the options panel before the main addon (causing the 'bad argument to ipairs' errors).
That will teach me to update the day before a patch *sigh*

v 1.73
-----------------
Fixed debuff color display
Fixed some timer issues
Fixed the 'oRA is null' bug if you didnt have oRA installed
Some other small things

v 1.72
-----------------
Fixed some bugs with the curable buffs/debuffs Added new Hots: Riptide, Wild growth, Earthliving (Please let me know any other buffs/debuffs I need to add still)

New: oRA2 integration! Now CTRaid is no more, I have added enough to OzRaid so you can set Main Tanks via right-clicking a name, cooldown timers, and access to 'Shared media' bar textures

Now your own buffs get prioritised (appear first) and other peoples buffs are smaller & slightly alpha-d

Added a mini-tooltip to show cooldowns during combat (so you can see who has a rebirth available for example)

v1.70 BETA
Ok, I have made a dual-version so it should work on WotLK beta
NOTE: I havent added any WotLK buffs/debuffs yet cos I dont know what they are

Changes:
Added more options for showing pets. you can now specify pets by class so you can ignore temporary pets like mage/priest ones. Makes it more stable in raid view during combat.

Removed CTRaid readycheck support - too buggy.
Improved Blizzards Readycheck support (just use /readycheck)

More to come, so this is only a beta type build!
please report any errors you find

Oz..

I've noticed a bug.. I have 3 windows for my BG-lovin pally.. the first 2 are groups 1-4, 5-8 respectively, and the 3rd one is for people within range of me (for easy click-heals) however, I've noticed that if I click someone who isnt in my group, it actually tries to target someone -in- my group instead of the proper person.

example.. 4 people in the window.. top 2 are in my group, 3rd and 4th are in 2 other groups.. if I click the 3rd or 4th, it targets the 3rd or 4th party member instead of the person I actually clicked in the list..

I think it uses the boolean function UnitIsVisible("unit") and perhaps it become false over 100 yards.

It is on my to-do list to get a list of basic spells that have various ranges & use them to give you a slider - sadly I cant make range testing any more accurate than that though as Blizz dont allow you to accurately measure distances to units

Hate to keep badgering you with little things, but I don't see a way in the options to change the distance that range fade kicks in.

Currently I am getting frames fading during some raid fights, which I don't want. I assume I just need to up the range it is set to. Where can I change that?

Thanks.

I must confess I use Perl these days for party frames so I hadnt noticed that (the hide party frames option is pretty old - before there was an option in the interface to do it)
Anyway, just comment out line 132 in OzRaid.lus 'ShowPartyFrame()' and it will stop trying to show them (it did it this way as there were problems with party frames popping on & off.
I will take another look at this, and either remove it, or at least give you the option to hide in raid only.

As far as hiding the frames go, I want to see my default party in a 5 man, and not see OzRaid at all in a 5 man or solo.

In a raid, I want my default party to hide, and to see OzRaid.

In theory, the settings would be in Interface to check hide party in raid, and in OzRaid have Hide Party Frames unchecked, Hide in party, and Hide when solo checked, right?

When I do that though, if OzRaid is installed, my default frames are still showing in a raid. It seems like OzRaid is forcing them to show, even though I have them checked to not show in a raid in Interface. If OzRaid is going to take priority over the setting in Interface, could you add a choice to the hide frames option to only hide frames in raid, but not in 5 man?

Thanks.

All I am doing so far with OzRaid by the way is having it act as simple unit frames, it is only one window.

In the .lua file, there is also a print("OzRaid - lag detected (1)") line a few lines above the one you are saying to comment out. Should that one be commented as well?

And duh on my part for the party frames bit, I didn't see the option there. Should it maybe be on the tab with the options for hiding the mod when solo, 5 man, etc?

Thanks for such a quick response!
If that is the one you get then by all means comment it out
I always had it on (2) - the number tells you where in the update the lag occured.

Top hide it, go to OzRaid.lua, line 155, and change it so it reads:
Code:
                     --print("OzRaid - lag detected (2)")
(i.e. comment it out)

As to the party frames - in the first page of the options is an option to hide party frames. Just click this & the pesky things should disappear

Looks promising, except for two problems.

First, it is spamming me with a lag detected message in blue every time someone joins the raid.

Second, I have my party frames set to not show in raid, but with this mod installed, it is forcing the party frames to appear while I am in a raid.

v1.63 now uploaded.
This fixes a kinda nasty bug where it wasn't setting the new 'fadeAlpha' value in the configs properly, so now it does
This should stop it from freezing when you try opening the options.
