actually i found a small fix so that you can use the other fubar addon instead of the built in one.

you could move or delete this file. and then the other fubar addon for outfitter. i mainly like it for the way it displays currrent outfit at a glance.

How can I disable the internal FuBar support?
Can I delete a file or something?
I prefer to use this one and do not wish a conflict:

Sorry, but yours just doesn't have all the functionality that his does.

I think that's a bug in the way I hooked the menu into the LDB data. The next build should clear it up and I'll try to get that posted today.

I'm having an odd problem with the LDB plugin. I'm using it with Fortress and I have bar width set to the minimum, 20, in Fortress. When I click on the Outfitter plugin, it's width pops back up to Fortress' default setting. If I then go into Fortress and change any setting, such as turning the label on or off, the width drops back to what I have it set at.

I had thought it might be some sort of conflict between the LDB and FuBar plugins because I also use FuBar2Broker for some other addons (Auld Lang Syne, Spam Sentry, and ToFu) but disabling FuBar2Broker had no effect so I don't think that's it.

Attacking my work is attacking me and is personal. I do this as a hobby and it's no different than telling someone their stamp collection, drawings or paintings, stories, or whatever they do as a hobby sucks. I do this for free and I give it to you for free. Programming and design is my passion and I enjoy sharing my work with others.

Then you should understand just how valuable time is and that I'm spending time helping you both by writing this addon and by sharing it with you

Of course not, but staying civilized and friendly is what I expect of you when you ask me to give up my free time from playing or real-life in order to help you

Can the "toggle" of set be turned off so that a keypress for a specific set does not unequip should it already be equipped?
Not for keybinds because I'd have to offer 30 keybinding settings to do that -- 10 for toggle, 10 for equip and 10 for unequip. You can macro it instead, something like this

/outfitter [nomod] wear myOutfitName; unwear myOutfitName

And put that on a button instead. Then you can hit the button and it will only equip, unless you hold a modifier in which case it will unequip.

The most common mistake people make is trying to make every outfit Complete. You should create Complete outfits for your basic gear sets (tanking, healing, dps, pvp), all other outfits should normally only contain the items you need to have different (your riding crop in the riding outfit, your AD trinket in the AD outfit, etc.). Also, since riding crop and AD both use trinket slots, don't set them both to us the same trinket slot -- put one in the upper slot and the other in the lower slot.

Equipping a set based on aura/spellcast (such as hunter aspects) is also strange, especially the fact that Outfitter switches back to previous set if I use an aspect that has no set at all connected to it.
Most like this is also caused by having Complete outfits for everything.

Hey now, I did apologize for the rant in the end of that post as well as make it clear I have found no updates for the other one. No need to get personal as I simply talked about the addon itself, not it's author.
Granted, I could probably have used a milder tone altho as things are adding up as to what could be improved as I wrote it, well I'm only human and I'm sorry if that frustration came out as something personal against anyone.

As for LUA/XML scripting, I simply do not have the time between parenting and work to piddle around with such things, no less trying to learn it from scratch.

Hi,
First off just let me say... I have tried the other add ons for this functionality and by far Outfitter is the best and most user friendly. Thanks!!!

I really like that you incorporated the FuBar support. On thing that I would love to see you add to yours that the other one had is that when I used to left it on the Icon/Title in FuBar it would open my character screen with the Outfitter panel extended. If you could add this function to your it would be awesome.

Thanks Again,
Twidget

I wish you'd switch to something else too - maybe ClosetGnome has an update? Are you sure ItemRack isn't updated somewhere? Keep looking for it, please.

Heh, I haven't read his post yet (I'm just waking up), but it sounds like the sort of thing that I should skip reading for now. Harsh posts always manage to screw up my day, especially first thing in the morning

Thanks for the support and understanding!

That said, if you can't control yourself from hitting the keybinds, turn them off, or disable the outfit from working in combat...that option does exist under each outfit. Also, if you don't like how the AD trinket is functioning, just turn the bloody thing off. Or, go into the script settings and tweak it yourself. Every outfit is highly customizable if you get in there and script it the way you like.

A word of advice though. If you want authors to respond to your posts and/or integrate fixes/requests you've posted, don't use words like "bad", "annoying", and "irritating" every other sentence

Is there a way to turn of the dang toggling?
My hunter has like 6 different setuos depending on group/solo/zones/aspects and other circumstances and every once in a while I accidently hit the key for a set that is already equipped and the infernal addon unequips it. This is MUCHO BAD stuff to happen in a fight when I switch from for example Aspect of hawk (slow 2-handed weapon) to Aspect of the Monkey (fast 1-handed weapons with Dodge bonus) and instead of equipping my dual wield weapons, it unequips the polearm and leaves me completely unarmed. This is horrible and cause by the fact that if I hit key for a set that is already equipped, Outfitter removes everything involved in that set instead of ignoring my keypress (wich is what I would prefer, slow weapon is definately better then no weapon).

I tried using automatic swaps based on what aspect is casted to, but that works even worse, especially when I'm in places like Plaguelands and the trinketque wants to equip Argent Dawn commision (wich is a set that has no weapons chosen) but the set for Aspect of Monkey wants the Frostwolf Insignia (more dodge bonus). The result is that Outfitter goes nuts and either does nothing at all, or it tosses the weapons and tries to decide what trinket to use, leaving me with the one that was initially there (Attack Power) or none at all... This is very frustrating. The trinket queue script can not be combined with a spell-detecting set, I have to choose one or the other wich is not good. There should be a way to have priorities set up (like ItemRack had).

If ItemRack was not lacking updates, I'd switch back right away. I don't like Outfitter and it's current instability, especially that toggle that unequips the entire set leaving me naked in a fight just because I hit the wrong key.
If I hit the key for a set that is already equipped, Outfitter needs to ignore that keypress instead of unequipping it completely, but I have not seen a way to turn off toggling.

Another thing that is irritating is the "optimise" function... For some oddball reason that can only be done once for a set, when it is created from scratch. after that, I can only re-do same optimisation, I can't use same set with the same name to simply change it from an Agility optimise to be a Stamina optimise instead. I have to delete the Agility set and create a new one and do the naming and script-select and menu-klicking from scratch. Not a big deal I suppose, but one of those things that makes Outfitter feel bulky and complicated to use when several things could be made a lot easier.

As a final note, to return to the Argent Dawn issue, it appears the zone-reading is not working very well. There have been numerous times when I entered battlegrounds or plaguelands and the sets have not changed according to script. Also annoying is that from what I see, to make a zone-related auto-change, I have to be in that zone for it's name to even show up when making that auto-change. I'd much rather have a drop-down list to pick from and the option to make such zone-sets in one go no matter where I happen to be instead of travel to the actual zone for it to show. This is expecially annoying with creating Battleground sets where trinkets or weapons choices are a little different. For example; in Alterac Valley I use frostwolf trinket but in Arathi Basin, the Horde insignia. I can't get outfitter to understand the difference between them and often I end up finding myself with the wrong trinket in the wrong area and obviously it's usually dying that tells me the trinket wasn't there when should have been

Sorry for the huge and ranting post, but Outfitter is the only thing out there that does these sort of things for the moment and I got spoiled with ItemRacks easy-to-use GUI and reliability so I'm a tad frustrated for the moment.
