What is Atlasloot

AtlasLoot Enhanced is an UI mod allowing for loot tables of bosses to be browsed whenever needed within the game.

Features
  • Dressing Room: Control-click items to show them in the Dressing Room.
  • Price Preview: See the prices for token items like PvP rewards.
  • Filter: Filter loot tables based on your class or set up your filter manually (NYI).
  • Instance Loot: All instance loot from every Dungeon (Normal and Heroic) and Raid.
  • Faction and PvP rewards.
  • Collection Items: Armor Sets (Dungeon, Tier and Crafted), Mounts, Companians, Tabards, Legendary items and more.
  • Season and World Events: Skettis, Abyssal Council, Ethereum Prison, Feast of Winter Veil, Hallow's End, Brewfest, etc.
  • Wishlist (NYI): Alt-click on any item to add it to the wishlist, alt-clicking on an item in the wishlist deletes it. There are buttons added to the Atlas panel and the loot browser to open the wishlist.
  • Partial Searching (NYI): Allows searching the whole AtlasLoot database for an item where you only know part of the name.
  • Quicklooks (NYI): Bind up to ten loot tables to 'Quicklook' buttons, allowing you to jump to them with only one click.

Slash Commands
  • '/al' or '/atlasloot' by itself brings up the loot browser.
  • '/atlasloot options' brings up the options menu.
  • '/atlasloot reset' resets the last viewed loot table (fixes disconnects when opening AtlasLoot) and moves all draggable frames back to the middle of the screen.
  • '/atlasloot mmb' toggles the minimap button on / off.
  • '/atlasloot togglebg' toggles background pictures on / off.
  • '/atlasloot wishlist' opens the Wishlist frame. (NYI)

History

AtlasLoot was originally created by Pernicius as a plugin for Atlas and contained a handful of raid loot tables to browse. Unfortunately, Pernicius was unable to maintain the mod, so Daviesh took over and renamed it to AtlasLoot Enhanced to provide a distinction between the two versions. Since that time, AtlasLoot has grown to cover every loot table for every boss, every item set, PvP Items and items for every reputation faction. In January 2010 Hegarol took over the project from Daviesh. Finally, in 2014/2015 Lag completely rewrote the entire addon for AtlasLoot v8.

Thanks to

Too many to list now, but they include Asurn, Dan, Diablohu, K2hyun, KKram, Pownas, Sohonmr2, Telic, 560889223 and probably more we have missed.

Memory usage seems to have gone up considerably (600kb to over 3mb) in a recent patch. Is this related to the switch to using AceDB for savedvariables?

TK Legendaries

Under review is a more accurate term. There is some contention about how to acquire them, so they aren't on loot tables ATM. They will pop up if you search for them though (try typing 'Infinity Blade' and see what I mean).

This seems to be happening to a small number of people and as the method you quote works, there is nothing wrong code wise. My only suggestion is when updating the mod to obliterate the previous version, log in, log out, then do the update to head any issues off right at the start.

Keep getting:

AtlasLoot-AtlasLoot Enhanced v3.00.03\DefaultFrame\AtlaslootDefaultFrame.lua:218: bad argument #1 to 'ipairs' (table expected, got nil)

Fixable by totally removing Atlasloot, removing the saved variables, logging into the game, logging out and re-installing AtlasLoot.

Not a big issue but consistent for the last 5 or 6 versions, happens after every single update. A bit annoying

(Copied the error message from an old post, so version number is wrong )

I just tested with the latest builds of AtlasLoot and Mendeleev with no problems, if you are using disembedded libraries, make sure they are all up to date.

FYI: I got the latest builds here - http://files.wowace.com/

I'm experiencing similar problems with latest version, getting continous error messages from KC Items, Mendeleev and FuBar FarmerFu. It looks like an ACE library problem.

Please turn on error messages (Blizz now turns them off by default) with this command:

/console SET scriptErrors "1"

then log out and log back in and let me know if any errors come up then.

Re: Saving Items after Right-Click

Only Blizzard can say for sure how their item cache works, but I believe that it is saved immediately in the cache (provided the cache size is not too big).

I did experiment for a time with including the AQ40 and Naxx tooltips in AtlasLoot, but that experiment ended with the following conclusions:
1) Takes up too much memory, just those 2 instances was about half a megabyte
2) It's labour intensive to collate all the data
3) The system could not cope with sockets and had no way to show how many sockets something has

That is when the right-click query came around. We all have to live within Blizzard's restrictions and this is just another one of them.

Hi, first off, let me say I've been using this mod for a long time, and I absolutely love it. It's one of my essential addons.

Second - I like the feature where you right click on an item that doesn't have a tooltip yet, and it fetches it from the server (if it's been dropped). I was wondering, once you have right-clicked an item, does it save after quitting WoW and then starting it up again? Or is it just for the time your on that particular instance of WoW? I would love if there was a library, perhaps as a separate add-on as to not add bloat to AtlasLoot, that included all of the item tooltips that for sure have been seen on every server, like ones in Blackrock Mountain, Scholomance, etc. I shouldn't have to right-click items from those instances, ya know?

Anyway, thanks for a great addon!!

Re: Re: Reproducable Error

It is reproducable for you as your WoW is not reading in DefaultFrame\Dewdropdown.lua for some reason. The easiest option to try and fix this is to delete AtlasLoot, log into the game without it installed, log out, the re-install. It should reset WoW's idea of which files it needs to read.
I will try as you suggest.

This seems to be fairly consistent (ie reproducable). I get the following error if I have the Atlasloot window open when I join a party/raid:

AtlasLoot-AtlasLoot Enhanced v3.00.03\DefaultFrame\AtlaslootDefaultFrame.lua:218: bad argument #1 to 'ipairs' (table expected, got nil)

I am using the 3.00.03 version -it also occured with the .02 version, but did not occur with the older versions in the pre 2.1 patch environment.
