AlarBGHelper  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 4.3.11
by: alar [More]
Assistant for battlefields
Displays a small window with status information.

NOTE: In Alterac Valley, bosses' health depends on synchronization. If you are the only user of ABH in your BG you cant have any info other than what is already available to you, so only if you are really near to one of them (by near I mean just outside or inside the bunker) you can see the data changing even if you are not targeting the boss

Arathi Basin
Left clicking a base button asks for help, Right clicking inform that the base is now safe
Clicking on "Ally/Horde wins in .." line, announce it in chat
Same for the "We need .. bases to win"
Time left and bases needed will be meaningfull onoy when at least one base has been taken by horde or ally
Besides each contested nodes you will see the time left to cap.

Warsong Gulch
Shows 2 big button with carrier's names. Click to target, shift-click to announce.
Extending the window (click on the >> button) discovers some more button. They work with the left-click ask for help, right-click announce safe rule.

Alterac Valley
Objectives' names works with the left-click ask for help, right-click announce safe rule.
Besides each contested nodes you will see the time left to cap. Clicking on time will announce it in chat.

Common feature:
Extimated resurrection timer. I need some feedback on this one, cause it looks like the interval is not exactly 30 seconds.. or maybe some lag is involved.. I hadnt time to figure the right timer, so I use a 30 seconds cyclle starting from your first resurrection inside a BG

Planned feature:
Syncronization: make things so when you join a bg, you can get timers from other users of my mod. Basic code is already in, i just need to test it a bit more

Shouldent there bee some sort of /command for this also, so you can see if its actualy there ? I know its enabled hehe
As you can read in the previous comment, I uploaded a corrupt version here the first time.
If you downloaded it on october the 19th it could actually be the 3.5.3 and not 3.5.5
If you are sure you have the right one, could you check in your wow directory the file logs/framexml.log for messages related to alarbghelper? ANd eventyually post them here?
TIA

That's precisely what I'm asking myself right now
I checked the addonre redowloading it from Curse, and was fine.
Now I will check the version I uploaded here.. maybe I uploaded the wrong one
Edit: yes, i uploaded the wrong file... it was actually 3.5.3
Now it's the right one

No, AAR is packaged with the new version of my common routins and should not suffer this problem. Just get the last version from Curse

Should be quite easy. Right now I am busy fixing AlarTTFrame for 3.0.2, but thise feature is easy to add.. expect it quite soon

AHA! Looks like the addon was packaged with "not the very last" version of Alarlib, so a reference to babble-inventory-2.2 was left.
Now, the easiest thing you can do is:
edit alarlib-2.0.lua
goto line 451
Code:
local BI=AceLibrary("Babble-Inventory-2.2")
change to
Code:
local BI={}

Now that I know that log file exists, I can be better prepared. It appears to be having problems finding alarlib. I do not have a separate instance of alarlib in addon directory.

@Nuen I have positive feedbakcs (Dixon) abiut ABH working, so we need to guess what is wrong on your PC. If you could post here you FrameXML.log (not sensitive information inside it, only the list of addon loaded and startup errors) it could help.
Or install Swatter to have startup error catched up and displayed
Or, at least, in WoW optrions check Show lua errors, so maybe you can see what is preventing ABH to be loaded
Edit:
Oh, or maybe you have an old standalone version of Alarlib. If in your addon folder you see Alarlib, delete it please.
When wowace joined curse, version numbers was a bit messed.. so maybe you are loading an old version against the right one embedded in alarBghelper

Download 3.5.5. I checked it against an empty Interface\Addons\ directory so i am reasonably sure it now includes all needed files

I dont thins it's from AlarBGHelper but from some other addon using the AceEvent instance loaded by ABH.
Embedded library could be weird, in that they are tied with the forst addon loading them
I have no special management for druids nor I track buffs..if you can spot Alarbghelper.lua or alarlib-2.0-lua in the backtrace, please post the line number, otherwise check for a file name not under Ace2 to have some hint on where to look

I have downloaded the last several versions of this mod from here & WOWUI & none work on W0W 3.0.2

I have deleted the old version & removed all of the config files from the Saved variables dirs for all toons & the main saved variables dir.

It does not show up in any BG & when i type /abh gui or any command, i jsut get the generic help error stating that is an invalid command.
How do I find the leftover files?

Error: Cannot find a library instance of Babble-Inventory-2.2.
In a hurry, just install LibBabble. You can download it here.
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/downl...2509&fi=110351
Meanwhile I'll remove all references to it and repackage alarbghelper.

it's 3.5.3
