Advanced Trade Skill Window   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
ATSW is a complete replacement for Blizzards tradeskill window with more overview and special functions.

This replacement (works for all tradeskills, including enchanting!) provides you with:

- a better overview
The ATSW is bigger than the standard window, resulting in a much better overview over the thousands of items you can produce. Additionally, it lets you sort your recipes either by groups (as in the standard window), alphabetically or by difficulty. Alternatively, ATSW even lets you create your own groups and sort the recipes the way you like!
ATSW also has a filter function: enter something into the filter line and ATSW hides all recipes that don't contain the text you entered. But this filter function can do more: it's a powerful search function that can filter for minimum/maximum level requirements, producable item counts, item rarity (color) and reagents necessary. Check out the readme for details on using this function!

- more comfort
The ATSW has a production queue: you can queue several different items and have them all produced automatically by just clicking one button.
The ATSW is able to consider items you have to produce in order to use them as reagents in the production of other items. So: if you need item A to produce item B, you don't have to manually produce first item A, then item B. The ATSW does that for you: you just tell it to produce item B and it automatically queues the production of item A and - afterwards - item B. If you are missing some reagents to produce both items you get a message telling you exactly which reagents you need.
ATSW helps you telling your friends what reagents you need for a specific item: just click on a recipe with your shift-key pressed and the chat line opened and the reagent info will be added to the chat line.
ATSW shows you what reagents you need to process the whole production queue. It even tells you how many of each reagent you have in your bank, on alternative characters on the same server (in this case, it can even tell you on which characters) and which reagents are buyable from merchants. In case of buyable reagents ATSW can automatically buy all missing and available items from a merchant when you are speaking to him.

ATSW explicitly supports ArmorCraft, LS3D craft info and Fizzwidgets ReagentCost. Other addons that change the original tradeskill window will probably not work with ATSW.
Change Log - Advanced Trade Skill Window
v0.7.6:
- changed: toc version number updated for patch 3.2

v0.7.7:
- fixed: fixed a bug which caused ATSW to block if multiple items are to be created in a row
- fixed: if you require an anvil or an additional reagent (or something else) to create a recipe, the corresponding queue entry should not be deleted anymore
- added: a new checkbox which allows direct filtering of the recipe list for recipes which you can create with available materials (similar, but not entirely identical to the checkbox in the standard tradeskill window - the ATSW box considers items in your bank, on alts or buyable stuff too, if you want)

I attempted to use this addon today, 0.7.7 version. There are several bugs that need to be addressed to make this a usable addon. I tried with multiple professions on multiple alts and had a lot of problems.

First, when crafting from the queue, it drags the game to a stop. My FPS drops from it's typical 60 to under 10, responses from keys are delayed by several seconds or ignored completely, and even the act of crafting is being delayed. When crafting a stack of the same glyph, I had crafting times that varied from four to nine seconds, with no real pattern to the times. This was true with every other addon turned off.

Second, the reporting of number of craftable items is inconsistent. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not. It does not always respond to changes in the options. The count is off. It also does not seem to know which materials can be purchased from vendors.

Third, ATSW has changed the typical search setup so that you cannot search based on materials. For instance, in default WOW or in Skillet you can enter "Ink of the Sea" and get all items made with that ink. In ATSW, if you enter "Ink of the Sea" you get only that ink.

Fourth, the tooltip boxes that pop up by default when you hover over a craftable item name in ATSW extend off of the screen and so are illegible. I had to keep dragging ATSW around with Fluid Frames. I finally just disabled those popups.

I had heard a lot of recommendations for this addon, so the fact that the queue is completely useless has disappointed me. I will check back to see if these issues are a 3.2 problem and get fixed, because otherwise I don't see how people like this addon so much.

This mod needs a total re-write.

With the new double-wide addition to the trade skills window in WoW, this mod definitely needs to be revisited by a developer. Some of the core features and benefits of ATSW are really great, and missed, but the slew of problems are just too much for this mod to be worth using anymore.

When ATSW update some professions, and you have much receipes learned, the whole game freeze for long time when ATSW is busy with initializing.

Not funny. They should optimize the code and reduce freeze risk.
It looks i must press the hardware reset button...

And that is with latest 0.7.6 ...

edit:
I try another mod DoubleWideProfession, which is a bit same as ATSW.

Does anyone know of an alternate to this mod sicne the author seems to have given up on updating or fixing the ongoing proglem with searches. As of now and as stated before its only searching by name and not by stats like you can do without this mod installed.

My understanding is it only does that the first time after a reboot of the servers. We have, however, been getting a lot of reboots lately.

Unhappy ATSW In General

I am getting the freeze every time I open ATSW on my priest. She is a lvl 80 and her skills are tailoring and enchanting. My computer freezes and I have to close down, exit WoW's window to unfreeze it. Anybody heard when and if an update is coming?

Question German Client: Same Bug with Inscription

I am having the same problem with Inscription as the others wrote before. The last update was in April, so is there going to be a bug fix soon?

Greetings from Germany,

I suspect the problem is the buyable inks in the inscription shop in Dalaran. If you wipe the saved variables for ATSW, inscription works fine until you next visit that vendor.

for some reason I'm experiencing a similar issue with inscription. This only started after i got recipes past level 300 inscription. It is able to buy parchment for me automatically (unlike the below poster). Everytime i try to queue something or process a queue, my latency goes up to 50000ms+ and my fps goes down to 4. I dunno what could be the problem...
