I am having the same issue with the lag...

I turned off the show buyable thingy and no more lag.
Hope this gets fixed but at least your work around makes it bearable.

The lag issue with Inscription may be related to the fact that ATSW doesn't seem to recognize parchment as being buyable. At least it doesn't seem to recognize that I can make items when I have all the ink but no parchment, and it only lags when I have 'Show what I can make if I ignore buyable reagents' or whatever it's called.

I don't know how to fix this--wondering if it would help if I delete my .lua file from saved variables and let it rebuild the data? Any suggestions! Please help cause I love this add-on but don't like getting dc'd every time I open the trade skill window

EDIT: I deleted my .lua and backup file in Saved Variables, reopened the game and clicked on the Cooking icon to open the tradeskill window. It hung up for about 5 minutes, then all of a sudden, it started generating the list and it has worked ever since. It hung for about 30 seconds when I opened Inscription for the first time after deleting the .lua file, but since then have not had a problem with it. Woohoo! Maybe that was all it needed was to be cleaned out

It handles Enchanting for me very well. I have been having a problem with it since the patch and not sure how to fix it. It causes the game to hang up and quit responding. Any suggestions?

Please allow me a feature request:
The option "Automatically open reagent list in bank if there are saved queues on any of your characters" should affect the guild bank too, or there should be a second similar option for the guild bank.

just recently I wanted to buy some engineering products. I'm not an engineer myself so I looked through other players' tradeskill windows and checked the materials I'd need to bring along. Since I had several different items in mind, I really missed the feature to create queues in these other players' tradeskill windows. That would've helped in calculating the total material cost for seven of this and three of that plus an additional four of that one. Is that already possible and I just didn't get it? If it's not yet possible, I'd like to suggest this as a feature.

If I activate "Consider buyable items when calculationg..." from Options, ATSW is very slow every time it lists more than just a few items. Unchecking this option makes it go as fast for Inscription as for other trade skills (I use ATSW for all but Enchanting, which I don't think it handles very well).

I noticed that when the "Uncategorized" list grew smaller as I moved recipes into custom categories, speed increased when there were less than 10 recipes listed and all others were hiding behind a "+". I tried to disable all addons but ATSW, but it was still slow (took more than 5s to just open the window, any action had at least a few seconds of delay, with creating an item taking about 15s).

I don't know how to bug report things with ATSW, is there a site or any forums that Slarti reads?

Ok, as of today I had to disable ATSW on my druid, even with ARL disabled because it was soo laggy and causing freezes every time I tried to make stuff in her Inscription. I'm not sure what to do because it works for all of my other characters perfectly. I'm going to try to delete my ATSW and ARL wtf files on that character and see if it makes a difference. But to give you an idea of how bad the lag/freezes are, to create 5 scrolls of intellect it took 10 minutes LOL

Alright well I'll do an edit if deleting those files works, and thanks again!

Deleting the appropriate WTF files for that character seem to have fixed the freezing/lag issues, so it appears I've fixed my problem

I am experiencing similar problems on my druid (specifically with Inscription - 416 skill lvl). Whenever I am on that character I am getting weird freezes (5 secs or so), with the occasional complete lock up (which requires me to end the "not responding" wow application to get out of it), and this happens whenever I'm trying to do Inscription stuff - be it make a glyph or do my daily Inscription Research (both minor and Northrend). I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but it's really bad in Dalaran.

On another note, I have another character on that same realm that is a Scribe - 300 skill lvl, so not to the Nothrend stuff yet, and I don't have any lag spikes/game freezes etc when I do Inscription stuff.

Hopefully there is a fix there because I really love this addon and don't wanna have to go without it

EDIT: It seems that the issues are not AS BAD when AkisRecipeList is disabled, so I'm not sure which addon is the cause of the problem.

my game freezes everytime i discover something with northrend research with my alchemy and with inscription. But when im making other thing that dont happen at all.

This is also happening to me.... I get logged in for 5-10 seconds, then it freezes and soon disconnects... I turned off ATSW and had no problems... That was this morning...

I found invisible frames with the following names:

TradeSkillReagent1
TradeSkillReagent2
TradeSkillReagent3

Sometimes the number of frames change, and so the frame names are named/numbered accordingly.

They interfere with the ATSW user interface if the main ATSW frame is over those frames. In which case, tooltips for recipes covered by those frames won't appear and you cannot select those recipes if they appear in the same area on screen as the invisible frame(s). The frames themselves, TradeSkillReagent# appeared to be the reagent icons shown in the recipe above the one I had currently selected in ATSW. If the frames exist in an area where ATSW's frame isn't, then you'll still 'find' them because mouse tooltips will appear if your cursor moves over the area where they exist.

I've not (yet) figured out how to create those invisible frames - but they've appeared every game session I've had so far after installing ATSW, so it's only a matter of time before I can fully replicate it. It's also possible another addon is in conflict, but so far it looks like they're coming from ATSW, so I wanted to get the info out now as in order to get rid of the frames, you need to close and then reopen ATSW.

For some reason, ATSW is scanning my Hunter's tradeskills (LW, first aid) every single time I open them. It's not doing that on my other toons (just scanning once). I wish I could figure out the cause of the discrepancy in behavior.

Edit: Also, as of 3.1.1 ATSW's scanning of my LW skill is causing my client to freeze and then disconnect from the server. If I skip the scan I get an empty tradeskill window and/or a freeze.

I`m getting major memory leaks and freezes whenever I create more than 2-3 different items in a queue. Same when I try to use the custom ordering list.
