Advanced Trade Skill Window  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 0.8.0
by: Slarti [More]
ATSW is a complete replacement for Blizzards tradeskill window with more overview and special functions.

This replacement (works for all tradeskills, including enchanting!) provides you with:

- a better overview
The ATSW is bigger than the standard window, resulting in a much better overview over the thousands of items you can produce. Additionally, it lets you sort your recipes either by groups (as in the standard window), alphabetically or by difficulty. Alternatively, ATSW even lets you create your own groups and sort the recipes the way you like!
ATSW also has a filter function: enter something into the filter line and ATSW hides all recipes that don't contain the text you entered. But this filter function can do more: it's a powerful search function that can filter for minimum/maximum level requirements, producable item counts, item rarity (color) and reagents necessary. Check out the readme for details on using this function!

- more comfort
The ATSW has a production queue: you can queue several different items and have them all produced automatically by just clicking one button.
The ATSW is able to consider items you have to produce in order to use them as reagents in the production of other items. So: if you need item A to produce item B, you don't have to manually produce first item A, then item B. The ATSW does that for you: you just tell it to produce item B and it automatically queues the production of item A and - afterwards - item B. If you are missing some reagents to produce both items you get a message telling you exactly which reagents you need.
ATSW helps you telling your friends what reagents you need for a specific item: just click on a recipe with your shift-key pressed and the chat line opened and the reagent info will be added to the chat line.
ATSW shows you what reagents you need to process the whole production queue. It even tells you how many of each reagent you have in your bank, on alternative characters on the same server (in this case, it can even tell you on which characters) and which reagents are buyable from merchants. In case of buyable reagents ATSW can automatically buy all missing and available items from a merchant when you are speaking to him.

ATSW explicitly supports ArmorCraft, LS3D craft info and Fizzwidgets ReagentCost. Other addons that change the original tradeskill window will probably not work with ATSW.
v0.8.0:
- changed: ATSW updated for patch 4.0

With the last patch, the addon stopped to work
Hope we find a workaround for this because i love that mod the same week it was created, and i cannot live without it!

Cool I like it ... but

To me the size is fine, most of the other problems people are having, I don't do those things so no problem there. I would like it to adjust properly to other things on the screen though. For instance, when I have my character screen open, when I open ATSW it should adjust to the right of that window. I am guessing that because of the fact that it does not do that, is why I get overlaps and crossed information that causes me to have to close all open windows or sometimes reload my UI to get things working again.

As far as the newest one being on Curse and not available here does make me slightly nervous because of the problem that some mods have had that were posted there. But I scan everything before I unzip or install, kind of anal that way. Have not found anything on this mod so far so good work.

Just removed addon. It's unusable.
Search: When I enter, say, "Bolt of Imbued Netherweave", it show me.... yeah, Bolt of Imbued Netherweave... ONLY. While standard window list all recipes where it involved as reagent too.
Queue: No way to tell if I have some of the items in my bags already, no way to look at item recipes added to queue unless you manually search in book.
Recipe List: craftable item count not updated properly with materials used/bought. Often it wont show up at all in process.
Addon window much wider than it is necessary. For me, it should not take more than half of screen width to be usable.

When it will be available here on wowinterface?

(Screw that - it's LilSparky's Workshop) And any way to make list font readable? It's like half of the size of original tradeskill window.

@A_Nolan
The newest version of ATSW is 0.72 available at Curse. Make sure you uninstall whatever version you have right now, then do a clean install with the updated version. That should fix any problems you are having, unless ATSW is having a problem with another addon you are running. If the new install doesn't work, try disabling your other addons to see if you still have the problem. Hope this helps you!

It seems it was updated on curse to .72 (this one is .71) on Nov 10th, and seemed to fix some problems I was having.

Got the following error trying to link the regent i needed to chat.

Code:
Date: 2008-11-26 16:36:08
ID: 1
Error occured in: Global
Count: 1
Message: [string "ATSWReagent1:OnClick"] line 4:
   attempt to call global 'ATSW_GetTradeSkillReagentItemLink' (a nil value)
Debug:
   (tail call): ?
   [C]: ATSW_GetTradeSkillReagentItemLink()
   [string "*:OnClick"]:4:
      [string "*:OnClick"]:1

EDIT: I looked at the page of comments behind this and saw the advice to get a missing file from version .70 and add a line to the XML file and it solved the problem for me. It would be great if the author made these fixes and posted a new version. Also it would be great if TradeTabs Support could be added.

I had the atsw_abstraction.lua file, but it was not loaded at all (either in the toc or as a <Script file=""/>)

Adding it to the toc fixed the issue.

The problem is 100% reproducible; it happens every time I hit enchanting button without fail. The only change I've made to my addons in the past week is to add Overachiever, which shouldn't interfere with this addon, I don't think. Any ideas? Did blizz change something for enchanting on their end?
I have the same exact problem. Had to turn off ATSW.

Easy to fix.
Edit the atsw_customsorting.xml file.

line numbers 350 and 371, need to add the - self, offset, -
from

FauxScrollFrame_OnVerticalScroll(16, ATSWCS_Update);

to

FauxScrollFrame_OnVerticalScroll(self, offset, 16, ATSWCS_Update);

As for the linking error, no idea. I just use the recipe link instead.
Hope this helps.
Thanks Daquin!!
