VendorValues 

I have left the channel before but there have been times that it comes back. That's why I wondered if there was something left behind that was still automatically joining the channel on occasion.

Maybe a stupid question, but have you tried leaving the channel? Type /leave lootlinkdatasharing

yes i occasionally get this thing too. anyway to remove it forever?

When i try to download any mod from any website it says when i try to extract the files to the WoW addons that i have to have a password. Why is this?

Thanks for the update Saeris! The problems I encountered in 1.4.0 are history. I only had a small problem with the [item] links in the chat, but Mikma's solution did the trick. Thank you Mikma.

"VendorValues_Tooltips.lua: 127: attempt to call field 'Original_ItemRefTooltip_SetHyperlink' (a nil value)"

open up VendorValue_Tooltips.lua and find line 127:

VendorValues.Original_ItemRefTooltip_SetHyperlink(self, hyperlink);

Change to:

ItemRefTooltip.VendorValues_Original_SetHyperlink(self, hyperlink);

And there you go. No errors.

Still getting an error when clicking on an item link in chat. Here's the error message:

"VendorValues_Tooltips.lua: 127: attempt to call field 'Original_ItemRefTooltip_SetHyperlink' (a nil value)"

Everything else seems to be working now.

I deleted this add on, as well as the Saved Variables for it, but I still get the "lootlinkdatasharing" channel on occasion. What do I need to do, to completely remove this add on please?

Iam also getting all these problems.
Iam going to take the mod off till i see a update. I can live with droping the hidden channel but not the "your not in a guild" or links being broken. Hope this is fixed soon.

I am having the same issues as you as well.

I have these same problems, plus I get an error message popup when I click on an item link in chat. I don't have the error message written down and I've already gone back to 1.3.0, but it was happening every time I clicked an item link in chat, so hopefully you can reproduce it.

Thx for the update. I just installed VendorValues version 1.4.0, and I'm sorry to inform you that I still get chatter on the "hidden" global chat channel. I also keep getting the message "You are not in a guild". That's right, I'm not in a guild (yet), but I don't need the game to remind me every 5 sec.

Keep up the good work. I love this mod.

EDIT: Another issue I stumbled upon. When talking to a vendor I get an item tool tip frame (item description text) in the upper left corner of the screen. Right through my character portrait. It's the tool tip of the first item in my backpack, and it's in a slightly bigger font then normal. When exiting the vendor screen the tool tip remains. I tried rearranging the items in my backpack. I always get the tool tip of the item in slot 1 (upper left) of my backpack. I reinstalled VendorValues 1.3.0 to be sure none of the other mods I use created the problem. Everything works fine in 1.3.0 (except for the lootlinkdatasharing chatter of couse ^^).

I would like to see the answer for this as well... Lots of spam... Want to know if I can turn it off and still share data?
