Durelsh UI (1280 x 1024)   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Reworked for 3.0.9 abit , no major overhual till 3.1...You must load DurelshUI profile in domino's , type /dom , Pitbull now handles party frames. If you like grid , disable party in Pitbull and set grid to show in party.

DURELSH UI

Durelsh UI is now a little over 3 years old , Google Durelsh Ui to find some funny old school screens and video's , lol.

Durelsh UI focus's on performance as well as fast response in the UI , or twitch gaming. The UI is all at the bottom of the screen. First i wiped my installation , patched and logged into the game and redid my interface settings to max my FPS to 1280 x1024 resolution at .85 scale. Then i built the UI using the best mods i could find and testing them. The result? Durelsh UI , a low resource compilation with almost all the UI components at the bottom of the screen for max response time and viewing. Enjoy!!!

Suggestions , tweaks and bug reports can be addressed here.

INSTRUCTIONS

--The download comes with 2 files. An Interface and WTF folder.--

Step 1 - Rename your current Interface and WTF folders to Interface-bak and WTF-bak.

(You can restore your old UI by deleting the DurelshUI Interface and WTF folders then renaming these back).

Step 2 - Unzip DurelshUI Interface and WTF folder into your root WoW directory.

Step 3 - Open WTF\Account\ and rename "RenameToYourAccount" to your account name in capitol letters.

Step 4 - Open WTF\Account\Accountname\ and rename "RenameToYourServer" to your server name. Use spaces , example - Argent[space]Dawn

Step 5 - Open WTF\Account\Accountname\Servername\ and rename "RenameToYourCharacter" to your character name.

Step 6 - For best results , make sure your desktop is set to 1280 x 1024 32 bit color quality , set your refresh rate as high as possible or atleast 75 hertz , this reduces eye strain and makes for easy tabout of the game as the monitor doesnt have to refresh. To do this , right-click on your desktop and goto "Properties" , then click on "Settings". Set screen to 1280 x 1024 and 32 bit color , then hit "Advanced" and then "Monitor" and select 75 hertz refresh , or as high as your video card allows.

Step 7 - Login your character and goto video options by selecting from GUI or hitting "ESC" key. Set video to 1280 x 1024 and refresh rate to same as your desktop , 75 hertz if you took my advice.

Step 8 - Type /recount gui and goto profiles , then select DurelshUI and load , this sets the Recount damage meter window correctly.

Step 9 - Type /dom and load DurelshUI profile.

Step 10 - To set up the Pawn item value tooltip , goto character screen and click on the Pawn button on the lower right hand corner , uncheck the show in tooltip on Pawn(default) setting and select your class-build , then click show in tooltip.

ENJOY!!!!

Tips -

1.WTF folder supports 1280 x 1024 only , you should set your desktop to this for easy tab-outs and better performance.
2.Set ingame refresh to same as your desktop.
3.If you see the chat frame or cooldown frames out of place , you installed incorrectly , check for spelling errors in your WTF.

HANDS DOWN.. the best compilation i have seen. I love it.. added a couple o my own fav mods but ur's rocks... some of them dont make sense to me, like all the libs and the sharedmedia addon which says it does nothing.. but anyway, my major concern is this:

My main is setup BEAUTIFULLY. followed ur instructions everything is golden. tried to load up another char.. BOOM. looks like **** and the same instructions dont work to fix it.. the MAIN problem is the chat window is skewed half way across the screen. Would you be able to tell me which mod i access to be able to move the chat screen at all??

Just a heads up , im currently working on a better horizontal layout for GRID , thats where this comp. is currently lacking. Im messing with all the plugins and messing over a few AV's as we speak to get it looking good , and will update as soon as im proud of it.

Also , on the usage of PAWN , ive seen some people do some really silly stat weighting recently for it and sites like lootzor. Stick with the game weightings , and addd like .5 points to stats you like , -.5 to ones you dont , and remove ones you dont want. A rogue putting like 8 points to agility and 6 to AP and leaving some low numbers on other stats is going to do nothing but tell you that a piece of gear with just agi and AP is good. Instead do 1.5 AGI and 1 for AP and lower the stats you deem secndary by .5 , and remove your least wanted all together. That way you get a better reading on rounded out pieces of gear.

PAWN

Ok , first of all , Pawn is an addon used to set stat weightings to stats you "PREFER". You goto your character screen and hit PAWN tab on the lower right hand corner and you can adjust the weights there. When you mouse over an item , Pawn now lists a score based on the values you input. Now you can mouse over gear in the game world , chat , or Atlasloot , and see if that item is actually an upgrade to you , buy comparing the points to the gear your wearing , ala EQCompare.

Now , we already know the base weighting for stats in the game , what i want to do is come up with some nice "Base" profiles for different class builds in the game. I just spent a few hours making them , and ill post here and elsewhere for input.

Ok , the base stat weightings , this isnt guessing , people have basically proven this stuff , but obviously you can only stack rating and stuff so high , or only need so much. resistances are of course situational.

Primary Stat (STR, AGI, INT, SPI) - 1.00
Stamina - 0.67
+Health or Mana - 0.6
Red socket - 5
Yellow socket - 5
Blue socket - 5
Meta socket - 5
Weapon DPS - 3.4
Attack Power - .5
Ranged Attack Power - .4
Feral Attack Power - .4
Combat Ratings (Any) - 1.00
Armor Penetration - 0.1
Spell Damage (All Spells) - 0.6
Spell Healing - 0.44
Regen per 5 sec (Health or Mana) - 2.5
Spell Ratings (all) - 1.00
Spell Damage (One school)- 0.70
Magic Penetration - 0.9
Armor - 0.10
Blocking Value - 0.65
Magic Resist (One school) - 1.00 lol
Magic Resist (All schools) - 2.5
Defense Ratings - 1.00

Anyway , im including these "Base" point systems in BC2.4b , if anyone cares to comment , or add input to make them better , im sure most are off quite abit.

Actually , dont use any of the stat weightings over at Pawn forums , doesnt seem like anyone knows what the hell their doing over there. Im making some "Base" stat weights for pawn that users can tweak to their liking , im gonna post the bases here in a few , feel free to comment on them as i dont play many classes , but i have a good understanding of weights and class roles.

First off , ill be posting better pics after i edit some , but just so you know , the party grames are to the right of the buttons , also the party frames disappear and switches to grid in the same area when going to raid. The Target frame is the middle and the focus is to the left and targets target to the right.

Everything is pretty much polished except some recount , grid and omen setting i want to tweak. Ill be tweaking the party frames abit as well.

Feall free to ask any question and please post remarks for tweaks , i only play a priest really , so im sure their will be some class tweaks for the bars and such.

Hello. Ive been using your UI for a while now, and just recently decided to roll a NE druid.

I just got bear form and encountered a problem,

When I go into combat and switch to bear form, then when I switch to normal form to heal or something, I cant click on any of my spells.

Also, a question for Durelsh: What would cause my settings to not stick once I configure them. I set up a profile for my character for several of the plug-ins, but when I log in later, all my work is lost. I removed my old Interface/WTF folders and did the fresh install, but I'm still having issues. Any thoughts?

Man , i really wouldnt know. I havnt been playing Wow this summer so im gonna discontinue Durelsh UI. Thanks to those that enjoyed it. You can still use 5.4 , but do not update with wowaceupdater , it will get bugs.
