Version: 2.16
by: Gello [More]

ItemRack 2 is out of beta! Thanks to everyone for using this, helping to make it better and most of all your patience.

This "Plugin-Ins & Patches" version of the mod is being depreciated as 2.x becomes the primary version of the mod. The official version of ItemRack is at:

http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info4148.html

2.2 and future versions will be posted there.

This 2.16 version will remain for some time mostly to keep comments, but please post new comments on the primary link above.

Thanks!

Thats all good and well, but is every druid expected to go into the lua and do edits?

Not that this is the place for a debate, but I'm sure he didn't mean to forget the relic slot. So yes, FOR NOW, in order to correct this issue any class that uses a relic (paladin, shaman, druid) will have to add that item manually to the ranged slot until Gello pushes another update to correct the issue (which, if you've been reading, he isn't coding as much as he used to so updates may be much, much less frequent).

Would you prefer I had not offered you a solution at all?

I love the new version. Ive had some major memory problems lately and this new slimmed down low memory efficient version was just what i needed. Thank you for keeping item rack updated and running smoothly.

Auto Queue per Set enable/disable?

Hello,

a question to the auto queue feature. Can i disable/enable the slot for auto queue per set or only in general?

No need for smarm...but this has been an issue since at least March. It makes it very difficult to recommend ItemRack as a mod for druids when there are other options available that work without any lua editing involved.

ItemRack 2.1a

I've updated ItemRack 2.1 to 2.1a. This is COMPLETELY unofficial. I am not Gello. I do not know Gello. I have not been approved to do this by Gello. I am providing this for those people who do not want to have to figure out how to edit a LUA file.

This update adds the INVTYPE_RELIC=1 fix to ItemRack 2.1. This fixes the infamous druid relic issue which also applied to paladin librams and shaman totems.

Outstanding bugs:
  • The mainhand, offhand and ranged "quick swap" buttons display below the Character, Reputation, etc. tabs on the Character sheet after the user has left clicked on the mini map icon. The "quick swap" buttons will display below the tabs until the next the user logs out or the UI has been reloaded (/console reloadui).
This bug has existed since the original 2.0 beta and is NOT new to my "quick fix" of ItemRack 2.1.

Re: ItemRack 2.1a

I'm going to totally rip off Athanyel's comment

I've updated ItemRack 2.1 to 2.1b. This is COMPLETELY UNOFFICIAL. I am not Gello. I do not know Gello. I have not been approved to do this by Gello. I am providing this for those people who do not want to have to figure out how to edit a LUA file.

This update fixes most of the remaining bugs in ItemRack 2.1. In this update:
  • I've fixed item IDs to properly support negative IDs
  • I've fixed a tooltip display issue if you enable the option "Menu on shift key" (previously tooltips would not be displayed on items on the bar with this option on)
  • I've fixed a weapon swapping issue when going from no weapons equipped to trying to equip a 2H weapon (you would be left with the 2H weapon on your cursor and ItemRack would abort further swaps)
  • I've added a small check for Spanish language bags ("Bolsa")
  • This includes the Relic/Totem/Libram fix previously mentioned (I'm a paladin and a druid, I couldn't live without this)

Outstanding bugs (I may attempt to fix this later today; its only a strata issue):
  • The mainhand, offhand and ranged "quick swap" buttons display below the Character, Reputation, etc. tabs on the Character sheet after the user has left clicked on the mini map icon. The "quick swap" buttons will display below the tabs until the next time the user logs out or the UI has been reloaded (/console reloadui).
This bug has existed since the original 2.0 beta and is NOT new to my "quick fix" of ItemRack 2.1.

Most of these fixes were provided by other forum members in the comments on this mod. I've merely verified which problems reported still existed in 2.1 and gone ahead and fixed them. I have verified each fix does work. I would be curious to know if anyone has problems with item IDs as this is the most fundamental change I've made.

I have also included two .patch files which are the output of diff (a UNIX command) showing the changes for the more advanced users. You DO NOT need to copy these to your addon folder; they are just for reference.

Please let me know of any other bugs you guys find, but please do not bother unless you are able to expertly reproduce it, and then give me the same steps on how to do so. "This thing doesn't work" tells me absolutely nothing and will be completely ignored.

Check this page everyday for updates.
Still think that Protection Warriors should have a "Gear Trunk" bag.

Adding topLevel="true" to the ItemRackMenuFrame in the XML should fix that.

Aezay,
That did it! Thank you very much for the help!

All,
Please see the notes and disclaimers below by RomRacer and myself on what we've individually changed in ItemRack 2.1. I've followed RomRacer's example and included a .diff from the original ItemRack 2.1 posted here by Gello to the ItemRack 2.1c I've linked to below.

Happy item swapping!

Great job with the bugfixes everybody, thanks.

Edit: Why is the Interface version set to 20200 in the .toc file?

That is the Interface version for the 2.2.0 patch, which should be released soon™

Actually, it didn't somehow the menu doesn't get "bugged" until you open it from the paperdoll frame, still not figured out why it happens.

Er, odd. It fixed my issue with the menu. Can you provide some repro steps?

Here is the order of operations that I do to check for the old issue:
  • A open the character sheet and hover over the weapon slots and select different weapons (they are regularly appearing above the character sheet tabs as I want them)
  • B: left click on the ItemRack minimap button and selecting a new set then repeat A with the same results
  • C: open the ItemRack interface (this has been done both via the /itemrack command and right clicking on the minimap button) and hover over the weapon slots and select different weapons then repeat A with the same results
Not sure I'd be able to fix it...but I'd like to see where it is still breaking.

I love the new version, thanks for updating Itemrack.

Do you have any plans on adding a Dreamlayout-style to Itemrack in the close future?
