tekKompare is my own personal replacement for EquipCompare and similar addons. It's super-small, designed to do two things:
  • Give you always-on compare tooltips
  • Show tooltips for links in chat when hovering over them
If you want to disable the hovertips, just delete the HoverTips.lua file.

I use Skinner and tekKompare (noticed you had Skinner too), and don't have the same issue. I believe that it is specifically CowTip.

yeah, it's cowtip, as i have the same problem also. for now you can turn off the border in cowtip to fix it. i've requested a fix for this in the cowtip wowace thread, but i'm not entirely sure if it's a bug with cowtip or tekkompare.

Messed up border
Has anyone seen the tooltip border get messed up like shown in this screenshot? I think there must be another mod conflicting with it, but I turned on all the exact same mods on an alt trying to narrow down which one, and the alt's tooltip stayed fine.

I've seen that as well, but I think I only see it if RatingsBuster is enabled. I'll disable RB for a while and see if it crops up with it off.

Nix that, happens with RB off too.

Hi Tekkub, in the 2.1 version I can't seem to find the code to implement shift/control toggling of the extra tooltip. Yes, I can use blizz code for that... but then I would miss out of your hovertips which I love to bits.

Well, it was a conflict with a class specific addon. I disabled all my rogue and warlock addons and went in and all was fine. (Ace stuff)

So, thanks for the reply, but of course...this is not your addons problem...(Forgive me, I hadn't had any coffee before I posted.)
