It's probably all "lua code 101" to you, but *I* didn't know where to go or what to do to "update" any properly working but "out of date" addon until you posted the quote above. Thanks for that bit of info, by the way.

Personally, I think an "update" that verifies an addon to be working as intended and brings it current so that it doesn't trip the "out of date" warning in blizzard is a right and proper thing for an author to do. ... If for no other reason than to avoid umpteen emails, posts, and messages from people who don't understand why it's "out of date." I mean...if they don't know how to update the addon themselves, they *might* not know to read the comments to see where you very nicely tell them how it's to be done......

is this addon going to be updated for the new patch?

Would it be possible to make double wide function on the Friends and Guild lists as well? DoubleWide... satisfying all your wide needs!

Open up the .toc file within DoubleWide's directory and change the "interface" line to 30000 if it's not already.

Done, addon is current.

An addon doesn't need to be constantly updated if it is feature-complete and working as intended. DoubleWide works just fine and has all the features it needs, so why would it need constant updates?

I've been using UberQuest Reborn Again myself, but it is also abandoned. Are there any two-pane quest log addons that are being kept current?

On the character selection screen, click on Addons. Then click the box for "Load out of date Addons". That should solve the problem.

I know it's old and abandoned.. but doublewide doesn't seem to work now. Any chance of fixing it? No error.. it just doesn't do anything.

I actually know that this can be done. There have been many versions of "EQL" or "Extended Quest Log" including "bEQL". At any rate, attempting to click multiple quests in the log to add them to your tracking list does not work with the latest (yet so old) version of bEQL. HOWEVER, if you have the options set so that newly acquired quests are tracked immediately you can track up to 25. (It just keeps adding them.)

Oddly enough, if you have 5 (or more) tracked and you try to click-add them from your quest log it will not track additional ones, but talking to an npc and getting another quest will track an additional one.

By the way, I would LOVE that feature.

Any chance you might be able to make it so you can display more than 5 quests in the tracker at a time?
