TradeTabs   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
TradeTabs is a small addon to add spellbook-like tabs to the TradeSkillFrame. It will add one for each of your production tradeskills. See the screenshots for a better description.

Theoretically, it should work in any locale thanks to the spellIDs made visibile with patch 2.4, but reports from locales other than enUS would be appreciated.

Full list of supported spells:
  • Alchemy
  • Blacksmithing
  • Cooking
  • Enchanting
  • Engineering
  • First Aid
  • Inscription
  • Jewelcrafting
  • Leatherworking
  • Runeforging
  • Smelting
  • Tailoring
  • Basic Campfire
  • Prospecting
  • Milling
  • Disenchanting
FAQ:
Q: When I learn a new Tradeskill, TradeTabs fails to add a tab for it.
A: This is a known issue, and there are no plans to fix it. The next time you load your interface (/console reloadui) or log into the game, the tab will appear.

?

Im not sure yet if its this addon, tradetabs or Doublewide TradeSkills, but when I goto my profession be it blacksmith or leatherworking I have to click on the drop down menu and select "all categories" (or whatever is says) and then I can use the other drop down on the right to select the inventory slot I want it to display only.

If I dont do that first nothing is really listed in that right drop down so I cant filter my skills unless I click the left drop down first and click on "all ***"

thanks for a great addon

The second option for using the right click is also an interesting idea, but I wonder how usable it would be. How would someone who didn't know beforehand about that feature respond to encountering it? Would they be confused as to why Right Clicking on certain tabs did something different, or would they even notice?
I think that would be a fantastic addition.

I prefer my interface to be self-explanatory. Sometimes to give the user the power you want to give them, it's needed to build a complex interface where something may not be obvious at first. However, I'm not in that situation; this isn't an enormously complex problem so I think an interface that isn't immediately obvious would detract from the overall quality.

• Right clicking on Inscription = Milling on the cursor.

This would seem to be in the same feel the addon is meant to do, but with an extra little touch.

Would greatly appreciate such a feature, and also thank you very much for the nice little addon.

What a fantastic idea. I'm surprised Blizzard hasn't done this already. I have a feeling after seeing this addon, they'll be implementing something similar in the future.

Cheers!

This is fixed in version 1.6

Hi,
See the tab for Inscription... Yay!
Not seeing a tab for the Death Knights Rune Forging. Will you be adding a tab for this?

Thanks,

Blame wowi's svn packaging system. (I agree, too lazy to push another update just to fix that, though)

Edit: turns out I was just doing it slightly wrong. Fixed.

might want to have "TradeTabs-x.x.x.zip\TradeTabs\TradeTabs.lua" as structure instead of just the lua file in the zip
