Alt-click quests in your log to open up Wowhead comments.
Wowhead Quests
UPDATE: I am no longer supporting this mod. I've started use Cladhaire's Lightheaded and I am really enjoying it. I don't make addons for glory, I simply make them for my own benefit so that the game is more enjoyable. If someone else wants to create a more improved version of what I am already doing, more power to them. And if it's better (like in thise case), then I'll adopt it myself. I hope that's a big enough endorsement of Lightheaded.
Personally, I recommend using Lightheaded with Mobmap. The combination of the two addons together makes alt-tabbing to look something up on the web a thing of the past.
----- What is Wowhead Quests?
Wowhead Quests is a UI interface that hooks into the default QuestLog and displays the quest comments from the Wowhead website for any quest that you ALT-CLICK. The comments are stored locally in two "load-on-demand" databases (one for Horde, one for Alliance). Each database is approximately 1.7 megs and only one is loaded at a time.
Why is this useful?
Wowhead is a website similar to Thotbot where users can share comments about specific quests. This typically offer suggestions for completing it and often xx,yy coordinates for where you need to complete the quest objective.
Credits: This is a modification of ostap's addon called qcomment located on Curse. Qcomment is a plugin for nQuestLog and requires it to function. This addon will operate as a stand-alone because it hooks the default QuestLog. It also offers the seperate load-on-demand databases to keep memory usage to a minimum. Also, comment frames will stay open until you close them and you can have several of them open at the same time.

((EDIT ))- I swapped out EQL3 for QuestsFu and the mod worked! Very nice info, but i wont go without the power of my EQL3. I have contacted the mod author of QuestsFu asking if he can help make EQL3 and QuestsFu work together. The reply was mainly pointing out that EQL3 author should clean his/her work up. I can not locate the author of EQL3 to request a fix for these mods to all work together. So untill someone gives or does a rewrite and enable EQL3, QuestsFu and Wohead to all kiss and make up, hehe. I'm forced to decide. I'm gonna have to go with the route of EQL3 and a web browser for thottbot.
But i will keep my eyes open for a resolution.

p.s. (can you hook escape key or somthing to close out an info box, either in descending order or all at once? Also enable a fixed position.) The ultimate request i saved for last! yes.. Wouldn't it be nice if all you had to do is hover over the quest for 3 seconds and bammo! Up pops your wowhead quest info in the form of a tooltip)
Update: The addons should works as a stand alone now. I apologize for the problems people were having. It wasn't a dependency on QuestsFu as much as it was a dependency on the way QuestsFu changes the quest title. It needed to be in a "[31] Gann's Reclamation" format to work correctly. People who had an addon that put it in that format found it worked fine. This oversight has been corrected and it functions as a stand alone as intended.
To all the Extended Quest Log fanatics:
I just tested it with EQL3 and it works fine. The EQL3 author(s) are simply hooking the same function I am using for the clicks, so it works when you ALT-CLICK. However, it still pops ups the EQL dialog box (like a normal click). I could force it so that wouldn't happen, but it would require hooking the EQL functions and I really don't want to make those types of changes. And quite frankly it's simpler to leave it alone.
Regarding Double-Wide:
This is a great addon, but is definately NOT required for this addon. A major purpose behind improving ostap's work was by writing this addon was to make it independant of other addons.
Took me some doing, but I finally got this working. It seems that this mod requires both Double Wide (link posted below in this thread) and FuBarQuestsFu http://files.wowace.com/
Works fine when both of those addons are installed, but wish that both had been listed as requirements up front.
If anyone gets this working, please let me know how you did it, what specific combination of mods are required to get it to work.
Looks like a great idea, would sure love it if it worked, i've even tried it on a stock wow and got nadda.
It might be how you are clicking. The quest you want needs to be selected before you ALT-CLICK it. It works the same way the quest watch does, except with ALT-CLICK instead of SHIFT-CLICK.
edit* it's not...even tried it with disabled ctmods, etc --even installed "doublewide" to see if that'd help, nothing
same; tried on 2 different pc's and a laptop, i'm not getting anything when i alt-click, only thing i can note is I do have ctmod installed on all 3

Originally posted by shadowhawx kk, i downloaded this addon, and it is running. when i click nothing pops up. i have a data addon and every time i ALT-Click the quest i get a spike in data. the window is just not popping up. any suggestions?
Same,I get no windows to come up.

The lock is a bit funky - like QuestFu's used to be... you lock and you can't get the menu back or the window to go away. Only /rl gets rid of it. Other than that, making the DB searchable would be sweet...

I don't use EQL, so I didn't test it with it. I "DO" use the addon Double Wide and it works fine with it. It's really a question of whether or not EQL (or any other addon) calls the same onclick function that the default QuestLog uses.
