The last date of comment parsing is now part of the addon's filename.

Includes over 166,198 comments for more than 15,560 quests


LightHeaded is a very simple addon that displays quest information and comments from http://www.wowhead.com in game, eliminating the need to Alt-Tab when you get stuck on quest. This addon was inspired by qcomments and wowhead_quests, which both serve a similar purpose. Data is only loaded when you first request it, so you can be sure you're not using more memory than you need to.

I HIGHLY suggest using this addon with TomTom, another one of my addons (http://www.wowinterface.com/download...32-TomTom.html ). This allows you to simply click any coordinate in LightHeaded to add it to your map as a waypoint.

The following slash commands are valid:
  • /lh attach - Attaches the frame to the quest log
  • /lh detach - Detaches the frame, allows you to resize and move it
  • /lh sound - Toggles the open/close sound
  • /lh page - Toggles showing all comments on one page, or with multiple pages
  • /lh bgalpha <0.0-1.0> - Changes the alpha of the LH window background textures, so you can see the world.
  • /lh debug - Enables or disabled debug messages when loading quest databases
  • /lh config - Opens the LightHeaded configuration window
  • /lh autodetails - Toggle automatic opening of the Lightheaded window when clicking a quest in the objective tracker

LightHeaded now includes the English descriptions and introductory text for most of the quests in the game. This is disabled by default, but can be enabled for those players that are not playing in their native locale.

LightHeaded supports sending coordinates to TomTom, MapNotes, Cartographer2 and Cartographer3.

IMPORTANT: Addon authors that wish to use this API and data should
include the wowhead logo in the frame that displays this information.
They are kind enough to let me continue parsing their database, and we
owe them at least that much. Thank you.

Update for new parsing script

Thanks to lunarwtr we're able to parse again, since I didn't have time
to fix the previous parser. This required some changes to the addon, but
this should get things back up and working.

Fix LH waypoint set integration

- We now are able to properly reverse WowHead mapFileIds to the in-game
areaIds, so waypoints should be set in the correct zone.
- We don't know how to set a waypoint in an instanced zone, so we just
put those in the current zone
- Integration with MapNotes, Cartographer and friends always set in the
current zone.

it still shows up on mine, the changelog says "Cartographer_Waypoints - don't allow 3rd party waypoint set when disabled", so it only stops the waypoints from being made if catrographer_waypoints is disabled, previously they would still show up I'm guessing.

Why don't you try modifying the Cartographer waypoints file so that it only displays the map note, it might be easier than trying to add the functionality to Lightheaded, or ask ckknight too add an option to the official cartographer waypoints.

Cartographer notes

Sorry, I know you dont like Cartographer, but I love it and am still working on moding this to place notes instead of waypoints.

I have had no luck though, If any one has any ideas or has figured this out, can you please post here. I am not looking for some special code to do both, I just want notes instead of waypoints.

Currently Im using the original version (with out the pretty skin) to do this since I was able to figure that out, but I would like to update to the newest version.

Lately I noticed I can't read the Lightheaded comments anymore.
The LH window is just empty when I open the Questlog
This morning I discovered it happens when I detatch lightheaded.

This will detach the Lightheaded frame, and you can move it to wherever you like to.

I hope this will help people that is using the EQL3 just like myself, I love that addon, and won't stop using it, if I still can manage to modify addons to work with it, like this one.

This little temporary solution WILL work, but may cause troubles with other Quest-related addons, but that's YOUR headache. :-P
Correct.. Alternatively, get the EQL3 author to skin QuestLogFrame instead of creating his own, solving the issue entirely =)

I found out how you can use EQL3 with this mod. This is only a temporary solution, but it does work.

Ok, to use Metamap to plot the coordinates you call a routine called "BWP_LocCommand" it has a text argument (which is essentially the command line), so this works:

BWP_LocCommand("32,60 dead rabbit")

32=x
60=y
"dead rabbit"=optional descriptive text on the screen.

Could also just do

BWP_LocCommand("32,60")

I'll try to make them customizable in an upcoming versino, but I chose the default HTML blue for links, which may be why it has a problem on a black background. Thanks for the feedbakc.

I'd like to say; carefull on the colors. Not all of us have perfect eyes. As it is, its hard for me to see the blue color you have chosen for much text.
