TomTom is your personal navigation assistant in World of Warcraft. This addon is very simple, but provides a nice set of functionality. Thanks to Esamynn for Astrolabe, which does the bulk of the work in this addon.
TomTom offers the following major features:
/way 14.78 23.90
/way Nagrand 45 50
/way 14.78 23.90 This is a waypoint!
/way reset all
/way reset Nagrand
/wayb Here
/wayback
/cway
/closestway

I tried TomTomLite, which is about all I use tomtom for anyway (that and corpse arrow and when other addons interact with it, like Archy).
I noticed TomTomLite works better at automatic objective pointing. For instance, if I'm near one objective but move so I'm near another, it'll point me at the closer one, because of the proximity sorting and everything. Why doesn't regular TomTom do that? Then I wouldn't need TomTomLite. -.- TomTom's objective tracking is really buggy and nonfunctional compared to TomTomLite.

I am also getting the same errors but for me so far it has only happened in the new Goblin and Worgen start Zones. It seamed to work in Hyjal though.
And for me it looks like it is the wow-pro addon together with TomTom that creates the errors. |

Re: Tom Tom Error 4
I am also getting these errors. If it is of any help in resolving them, the errors occur for me with only TomTom and TourGuide installed (I renamed my ADDONS and WTF folders, then installed only these two addons).

Tom Tom Error 4
Cladhaire,
Sorry I was not more clear -- thanks for taking the time to try and help. I am using the most current version of your add-on. It was working after I used Curse to re-install Astrolabe (don't know whetehr it had anything to do with it though given your explanation). I am now getting an error again -- 'Bad argument #4 to Astrolabe.interface\AddOns\TomTom\libs\Astrolabe\Astrolabe.lua:871' (number expected, got nil). This is error 1 of 71. I have uninstalled just about every other addon and the error persists (much like the other poster). I reinstalled TomTom and re-booted (I have also gotten rid of the Astrolabe folder I had separate from your addon). No joy. Dagus

Request: Pleeeaaase alter the "clear waypoint distance" feature so that it clears the waypoint when the distance is at or below the set distance, not just when it is exactly that distance. Even with ground mounts, the addon often does not register that it just passed that threshold, and does not clear the waypoint
I thought I could fix this with a quick look into your code, but apparently you use callbacks for specific distances, argh. *edit* look not loot

Can this addon set a waypoint when I just click on a quest in the quest-log? Or do I always have to grab a waypoint from the world-map or through Lightheaded?

That unfortunately is an error with Astrolabe that I can't really do anything about. I've reported the issue to Esamynn.

Hi Cladhaire
Using TomTom v40000-1.0.5. Astrobale: 120 (included with both FishingBudy and Gatherer) or 118 (included with TomTom) GetBuildInfo() => "4.0.3", "13329", "Nov 17 2010", 40000 GetLocale() => "enUS" When I use TomTom:AddZWaypoint() for a point in Ogrimmar (continent 1, zone 17), TomTom maps it way out of wack in Azshara. No matter the coordinates, same point will be create in Azshara (only the text label change). I tried with only Tomtom loaded, went to Orgrimmar and did a /wayb. The crazy arrow points to Azshara instead of where I am. To the best of my knowledge, this happen only in Orgrimmar. If you need more info or for me to test something, let me know. |

TomTom already contains the latest version of Astrolabe. That's the whole reason I updated the addon days ago, when I reported the issue to Esamynn and he fixed it.
As a matter of fact, r118 is newer than the version you've linked, so I'm incredibly confused now. Please provide some actual information, what version of TomTom are you using? What error are you getting? You think you're frustrated, how do you think I feel when someone comes here and tells me that they're frustrated, yet they have not reported the issue to me, don't tell me what version they are using and don't participate in the troubleshooting. I appreciate you posting, but you should not be trying to fix errors like this on your own.. I can't just downgrade the library from 118 to 116.. that's just a bad idea given that 116 just blatantly has bugs and errors that were fixed. Please help me by providing some information, such as at a bare minimum whether or not the latest version here on wowinterface works.. given that it includes the actual latest version of astrolabe.. and what error you are getting. A '#4' error doesn't tell me anything, unfortunately.
