TomTom is your personal navigation assistant in World of Warcraft. This addon is very simple, but provides a nice set of functionality. Thanks to Esamynn for Astrolabe, which does the bulk of the work in this addon.
TomTom offers the following major features:
/way 14.78 23.90
/way Nagrand 45 50
/way 14.78 23.90 This is a waypoint!
/way reset all
/way reset Nagrand
/wayb Here
/wayback
/cway
/closestway

World Map coord position.
Just wanted to say that currently, the position of the coord text on the non-fullscreen world map is off, making the text appear on the very bottom edge of the map. changing the following lines from:
Code:
else TomTomWorldFrame.Player:SetPoint("LEFT", WorldMapPositioningGuide, "BOTTOMLEFT", 25, 2) TomTomWorldFrame.Cursor:SetPoint("LEFT", WorldMapPositioningGuide, "BOTTOMLEFT", 140, 2) end Code:
else TomTomWorldFrame.Player:SetPoint("LEFT", WorldMapPositioningGuide, "BOTTOMLEFT", 25, 16) TomTomWorldFrame.Cursor:SetPoint("LEFT", WorldMapPositioningGuide, "BOTTOMLEFT", 140, 16) end I'm not sure if it's the result of an addon conflict. NPC Scan Overlay is the only other addon that modifies the map as far as I know; but it doesn't seem like it would affect it. Perhaps an option to change the position of said coordinates would help? At any rate, nice work |

Unfortunately this is a non-portable solution. I assure you that it appears correctly on my machine with my resolution =) I'll see if I can get something better, but its been a problem for years =)

0. Get TomTom v40300-1.4.5 1. Create a waypoint on map using mouse (Alt+RMB it is for me). 2. Look at the TomTom HUD arrow. It'll say "Unknown waypoint". 3. Hover over waypoint(arrow) on minimap. It'll say "TomTom waypoint". 4. Use minimap context menu to reassign the HUD arrow. Observe the waypoint description change. There: http://www.rootdir.org/wow/Wow_2012-...m_waypoint.avi |

Anr, thanks for the detailed bug report, that's exactly what I needed.
I updated a new 50001 version for mop that should have the map data, in theory.

I am currently using the newest beta build for MoP and the green arrows position keeps resetting even when I try to lock it.

Sorry for the late reply, the issue seems to have self corrected. It has stayed where I put it for awhile now.

Cloning TomTom repo
Hi Cladhaire,
I wanted to clone TomTom locally to get your dev version instead of having to download/unzip (I'm lazy I guess :-). When I try to git clone "git://git.wowinterface.com/TomTom-11.git" "D:\World of Warcraft Beta\Interface\AddOns\TomTom", I get the following error message: warning: remote HEAD refers to nonexistent ref, unable to checkout. The result is that even though I have the repo, I can't see any files. I tried with other WoWInterface git repo and they are working without problem so I was wondering if there was something different with TomTom repo? |

I don't know, seems like something borked with the git:// server. I'll see if/what I can do.

Just a heads up guys, I move country in under two weeks, have a conference next week, and have committed the next 6-7 weeks of my life to completing my thesis and submitting it. As a result I just do not have the time to get online and test all of the different functions of my addons. If you have access to the MoP beta and are willing to test them out for me and give me good controlled bug reports, I will do my best to make sure I can fix anything before the UI patch hits live. Thanks for all your support!

Not working for me after 5.0.4 update
Good morning -
I just downloaded the update and I can't get it to work - I even went back and downloaded the version before the update and still not working.... Anyone else having issues or found a workaround? |

No reported issues, so please make sure you've removed the old version and have installed it correctly.
