Shockolate Information Page - With Updates for Future Versions

Multiple rings can be created via the Shockolate FuBar or MiniMap icon Menus. Each ring consists of a large button with a left and right click function and 8 smaller buttons with one function. Any spell, any rank, can be used for any of the buttons.
- Hold down Shift while dragging to use the specific Rank of spell dragged.
- When dragging to the Main button, hold down Ctrl to set the spell as Right Click. Do not use Ctrl for the spell to be set as Left Click (primary).
- Hold down Shift while attempting to drag spells away. Not holding Shift will do nothing, as the buttons will be locked.

Multiple set-ups can be created as well, one for each class you use by default.

Please note that the old UI is no longer available. Everything is set up via drag-and-drop or the Menu.

If you find any problems, please submit them via the Bug Reports link or a comment for the mod. I will look into fixing them as soon as I am able. Everything seems to be in working order though.

Please note that you may need to reset your Shockolate settings the first time you use v0.06000.

    Shockolate>RingName>Keybindings. Hold Ctrl/Alt/Shift as desired, press desired key. Then press [Enter] to save the hotkey. Use [Escape] then [Enter] with "None" displayed to remove hotkey. (This function WILL overwrite over functions assigned to this hotkey, but will inform in chat as to what was un-bound.)
  • If you hide a Ring then click Show, it shows ALL buttons, not just those that were visible originally (hidden smaller buttons reappear). -- Fixed.

okay, the "other" group needs a cooldown timer, an out of range indicater would also be nice

I have my shocks in my "other/weapon" group, i have no way of knowing exactly when I can recast a certain shock (a fade out when casts and a fade back in so I know would be extremely helpfull) and as a shaman i try to do as much damage to a mob before i go toe to toe with them so I run up till my lightning bolt is just within range and continue to cast it till the mob is up on me so knowing exactly when I am within range would be great. Very nice mod. Thank you.

Managed to make it work, none of your fault. Working great, amazing job done here. One thing I was wondering, would it be possible to add this for other classes too in some way? It's a sweet-looking addon that works beautifully, I'll recommend it for others.

Still trying to figure out how I want it to work for other classes (that is, as a separate mod, or as one) ... But definitely looking in to it.

My first thought was a module-system where you have the main core, and 'class-modules' you can enable/disable in the 'Addons'-button at character selection. It'd greatly reduce the system-load, and make it far easier to weed out bugs and such as well ( atleast I think so, I'm not a programmer XP ). Though I suppose that'd be a bit of an extra chore. I just know alot of addons can get too big after a while, with no disabling choices for the things I don't need/want

Something that would also be really cool would be "half-moons" I can place on edges of something, where I only see half a ring, or a quarter of a ring!

Got a few ideas... *grins* ... sorry

Ideas are good.

I had actually considered having class modules. I'm not entirely sure yet, but that's probably the route I'll end up taking.

I don't imagine it would take too much extra, just pulling out a bit of code (Totem stuff, mainly) and putting it in the Shaman Module add-on.

Anyway, keep them coming!

Hello. I am interested in this addon, but i dont know how it works and how to install it. I know that i must put it in the addon file of WoW. But should I unzip the file or somehting? plz list me the steps or send me a message to [email protected]

Yes, unzip it. Inside is a folder "Shockolate" ... Just copy that folder as is into the AddOns folder (World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns) and start WoW. Shouldn't take much more than that--you should see the rings and minimap icon when you log in (Shaman chars only for the Rings, at this time).

Is this still under development? I just installed it but there are a few issues but, I really like it. Totem timers are obviously incorrect for mana/hp totems. It would be nice if it showed the 'pulse' of the totems that have an effect per 5 secs, eg poison, disease, tremor. And is there a chance to show the cooldown/duration of the totem dropped?

I really like this mod, nice work.

I really like this mod, nice work.
I'll look in to some of these. Shouldn't be too big of an issue to show the pulse timer.

(And, I do intend to release another version; I've just been pretty busy lately.)

The idea is incredibly awesome. Artistic look, efficient placement; it is unique among action bar addons. The look of "bars" of this particular addon isn't new by itself (an example is Cryolysis) but using this architecture for creating multiple action bars is really great.

Also, the functionality of this addon is enchanced by the best feature I've ever seen in button addons: an ability to place a second spell on the flip side and use it by right-clicking. I always try to keep space and automatize spell selection; for that matter, most of my buttons are macros with up to six spells in them (the choice depends on situation and pressing/clicking method). So this feature can save a lot of time for people like me, sparing them from exhausting macro management.

I would love to replace my action bars with these rings, so it would be great to see these two features.
  1. Keybindings (if they aren't there yet).
  2. Unlimited number of rings.

Re: Text in Fubar

Hi,

Great add on and really enjoying it. One annoying thing though is every time I log onto a toon I have to disable the text on Fubar as it defaults to on not off as I have tried to set it off as default, but once you log out and back in the text is back. I hope this is an easy fix as I have a lot of Fubar addons and need the room without the text please.

How to

Hi. I want to use this cool loking addon, but I don't know how to make it. I think that I instaled it right...

Would like to see smiliar feature to Geist

Id like to see the ability to set up a circle of buttons that stay hidden unless a certain key is held down, which makes the ring of buttons appear directly under where ever the mouse is.
consider it a emergency action bar if you will.

Just a thought...

Mod looks nice, keep up the work.
