oGlow will light up your items, by adding a quality border to them. It will only display this border for common quality items and above.

It will currently only display the quality borders on the following places:
* Inventory
* Inspect
* Bank
* Guild bank
* Bags
* Mail
* Merchant
* Trade
* Professions
* Character fly-out
* Character
* Loot
* Void storage

I will make it support some other frames also, but this is it for now.

I'm still at work (and will be for a while). My main plan afterwards is to look over oUF and do a release of that. Followed by updating oUF_Lily and oUF_Classic. After that is done I'll probably tackle finishing oGlow's UI, but it will probably take what little I have left of the day by then.

The git version does work however. It just misses a lot of the UI stuff and some minor database handling.

I'd rather not have it posted up on the Cataclysm section. Especially if you've based it on the current WoWI version.

I'm trying to complete the next version as quickly as I currently can, but right now I only have time to work on add-ons during weekends. Then there's the fact that I'm prioritizing oUF right now.

I currently have two unsolved issues with oGlow on beta, but both are pretty easy to fix (and I'm counting the ammo slot as one of them). I might push some commits to git later today that fixes the cataclysm issues, but it depends on the alignment of planets and such.

I tweaked on it a little and used the border texture from Examiner, but its working on Beta if you want me to post it up for a Cata Beta addon. Your call, and thanks for a fun mod to use. Nice to be able to tell some things at a glance when it uses the same icon as ten other things.

Let me know if you want me to post it up for testing on Beta though.

Mr. Tuk has been so nice and uploaded the 3.3.5 Blizzard UI and updated it to 4.0.0 build 12857 on GIT, so we can see the difference easy. LINK [/b]
Tekkub has been maintaining a Git repo[1] for the Blizzard UI since Beladona stopped updating wowcompares. I'd recommend his repo as he does tagging and branching correctly.

The error you get is also the same as previously. They removed the ammo slot, so removing the entry from pipes/char.lua should be enough to fix it. I haven't read through the changes since early beta however, so I don't remember what else would break oGlow.

I'm not too surprised. CC changes quite a lot of the default UI, compared to LK.

If you want to test oGlow on CC I'd suggest that you use the git version. The version here on WoWI is quite different.

I'll probably have a look at what CC breaks during the weekend.

It's already fixed on git, but that version is still incomplete, so no new release has been pushed .

Showing a skull where the quest item ! usually is sounds like a better solution. It would be possible with the next release, but I've been putting my time on other add-ons and projects mostly.

Heroic epic items

So, do you think there would be a non-terrible way to show heroic-epic items? A smaller green border inside the purple border? Green corners? Is it a waste of time? Would it look terrible anyway? xD
