Quartz is a modular approach to a casting bar addon. An overview of (hopefully most of) the modules:

*Player
The core of Quartz is lightweight implementation of a standard casting bar, with configurable size, text and icon positioning, and colors.
*Target/Focus
Implementation of target and focus casting bars in similar fashion to the player cast bar.
*Buffs
Display of target and focus buffs and debuffs as duration bars using the new API introduced in patch 2.1.
*Flight
Hooks into FlightMap or InFlight to display the current flight progress on your casting bar.
*Global Cooldown
Displays a tiny spark-bar to show your Global Cooldown near the cast bar. Helpful for those who'd rather not squint at their action bars to see when they can cast again.
*Interrupt
Changes the color and text of your casting bar to help show that your cast has been interrupted (and show who interrupted it).
*Latency
Displays the amount of time spent between cast send and start events, in the form of a bar at the end of your casting bar, with optional text that displays the actual duration of the lag. This helps in canceling casts when they will not actually be interrupted, especially for users with consistently high pings.
*Mirror
Shows the 'basic' timers such as breath and feign death, as well as some 'odd' ones such as party invite time, resurrect timeout, and arena game start, and a framework for injecting custom timers into the bars.
*Range
Recolors the casting bar when your cast target moves out of range mid-cast.
*Swing
Displays a swing timer for your melee weapon as well as hunter autoshot.
*Timer
Allows for creating custom timers displayed on the mirror bars.
*Tradeskill Merge
Merges multiple casts of the same tradeskill item into one big cast bar.


Use /quartz to bring up the configuration menu.

- Fixed cast time in EnemyCasts Module
- Proper support for extending channeled casts
- Fixed a Lua error when targeting enemies who channeled a spell

GCD Bar

First let me state this is an Awesome addon

I was wondering if there is a way to create a Global Cooldown bar so i dont have to stare at my action bars to know when to cast my next shot.

Also can quartz be configured to have bars for Hunter special shots i.e. arcane and chimera? and if so how?

You have to un-dock it from which ever other bar it's parented to. Set it to Floating (I believe that's the setting; been a while and at work). Once it's free floating you can move the timer independently and lock/unlock it.

Yeah, but what are we supposed to do with stuff like Target Debuffs? There's no "Lock" checkbox there.

LDB support and easy timer creation

I love this addon, I recommend it to everyone I know. However, I have two feature requests, and I apologize if they are somewhere in here and I can't figure it out or if there is a place to go for feature requests; didn't say on the front page.

1) LDB support. Please oh please, I really am that lazy. Plus, you could set a right click to unlock enabled cast bars for easy placement and replacement (for those of us with OCD about our UIs).
2) Easy slash command for creating new timers. This is one of my favorite features about this mod, the ability to create a timer for anything I want and put it up, but I don't want to have to type /quartz and scroll down and yadda yadda yadda. I'd even be happy with a /quartz timer command that would automatically just open to that section, but ideally if it was simple to do, I'd like a /quartz timer Name duration (i.e. /quartz timer Pizza 600 or have it in minutes, or whatever).

Other than that, great addon! Love it.

Love this addon. However; I can't use the textures/fonts I want 'cause the options for it won't scroll. And by scroll, I mean the list that has the fonts/textures. Not the menu. I have a large number of them, and the ones I want well, I need a scroll bar. My screen isn't quite that large. Have I broken something, or do I need to go about it another way?

I know I have seen it before but I can't find it. How can I make it so the Target castbar's animation is reversed. I have the spell name and timer reversed but I can't get it to cast from right to left.

Yes i have this problem also. To date Mind Flay is the only spell i have found to not show up.

I am having some problems with my buffs showing up. I only get the spell timers and nothing else. Apparently it tracks buffs on me, my target, my focus, dots, etc. But I get none of these.
I have the default setup installed, with nothing else loaded. Any help would be appriciated.

Edit: It appears that the author is MIA and the addon is being sporadically maintained by the comunity. My Congrats to those who have been doing this. You peeps rock. For now though, I'll be hunting down another addon that hopefully does what this does, and is maintained by the author.

I use Death Gate. It doesn't have to be a combat spell, just any instant cast as far as I know.
