Ogri'Lazy  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.2
by: Foxlit [More]
Apexis Relics (as well as Apexis Monuments) around Ogri'la plateaus have you replay a sequence of up to 10 notes - but the sequence is easily forgotten, and writing it down is cumbersome (besides, it takes effort!).

Ogri'Lazy is aimed to simplify the process. When you interact with an Apexis Relic/Monument, the Ogri'Lazy window appears with four buttons, each representing a color of the sub pylon. Add the sequence the Relic is playing by pressing the buttons (or the hotkeys), and Ogri'Lazy will automatically keep track of the sequence for you. Once you start replaying the sequence, Ogri'Lazy will also keep track of your progress, saving you from forgetting which note you were up to.

How do you clear/reset it if you make a mistake?

You can use the fifth icon in the bottom row to clear the current sequence (English hotkey: C). There is no "backspace" at the moment, although that may actually be a worthwhile feature

The Crystal Patterns get longer as you get Higher reputation. one of my friends said the mode loops to the beginning on strings greater than like 12ish. Can anyone confirm this?

This mod seems to be affecting my key bindings after I use it. Key bindings are normal prior to then. Afterwards I can't use my keys to open my bags, reply to whispers, open my character sheet etc

I'm running Bongos2, X-perl, and assorted other mods. Most don't have any keys bound to them and the keys I'm having difficulty with are standard key bindings.

If you're going to change key settings then I would suggest using Blizzards own key bindings UI which most other mods use so that there is no conflict.

Cheers.

By the sound of it, it's not releasing the override keybindings for B(lue), R(ed), Y(ellow), G(reen) and C(lear). Merely closing the frame should, and does, as far as I can tell, return control to the usual keybindings for the affected keys. The only thing that comes to mind is that you may be closing the frame in combat, when addons are unable to change your keybindings (and hence Ogri'Lazy is unable to release the keys when it tries to do so) -- try closing the frame while out of combat and see if the issue persists.

I'll have another look at this and update the version uploaded here later in the week.
Update: 1.0.5 should solve both issues reported here - Ogri'Lazy should appear automatically in non-English clients, and it'll release the hotkeys associated with it after you exit combat if you close it in combat.

That wouldn't work here - Blizzards own key bindings UI is based around keybindings that persist - rather than appear when you start interacting with something and disappear when you're done. Binding/Unbinding default keybinds would create an even bigger mess, which could even be saved to your local settings if you're disconnected from the server while the keys are remapped.
Asking the user to remap those manually every time they wish to use the addon seems like overkill.

2x2 Layout

I love this addon, and I REALLY like the new 2x2 layout...it makes entering the sequence so much easier. However...the red and blue are switched. That is, when standing on one of the relics, with green and yellow to your right, and red and blue to the left, red should be on top and blue on bottom of the Ogri'Lazy interface.

Hehe this addon is really nice with the long sequences.

However, as reported before, the red and blue buttons are switched. And it would really be helpful if the hotkeys were in the same pattern as the buttons, because it's still hard to quickly translate the color to a R, G, B, or Y key... I'd rather pick the numpad's Home, End, PgUp, PgDn keys...

I seem to be having an issue with it removing buttons for no reason, i'll click one and it will remove two in a sequence. Any idea why this might be?

This is linked to the timer on the mod. it removes the key you are supposed to clikc if you wait to long, and the reason it does this is because there is a timer on how long you can wait before you click the colors aswell. So speed is the key

Is there an ETA on switching Red and Blue? I'm LOVING this mod but the incorrect locations of red and blue makes it very hard on my brain!
