Chippu is a tiny add-on that will color the tooltip border to fit the quality of the item it shows.

Have you looked at the code? There's nothing in there that would benefit from using Ace, and in fact adding Ace to a less-than-3KB addon would be a monumental waste. You people and your Ace obsession...
