OnScreenHealth  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 5.3.0.1

OnScreenHealth

OnScreenHealth provides simple text displays of health and power for you, your vehicle, your pet, and your target.

It additionally shows your combat state, combo points on your target, your target’s target’s name, and your class’s secondary resource (such as Holy Power).

Type “/osh” to open the options panel, or browse to it in the standard Interface Options window.

Not completed
  • Localization (you can help by visiting the link and submitting translations for your language)
Changes
  • WoW API updates for MoP (GetSpecialization etc)
  • Support for all secondary resources.
combo points, runes, chi, eclipse, holy power, shadow orbs, soul shards|burning embers|demonic fury
  • Support for ClassColors.
  • Switch from event based processing to update based processing, with adjustable throttle.
Some optimization pending but (a) with Blizzard's move to predictive hp / power updates,
events don't fire half as often as needed for smooth updates (b) some resources don't fire UNIT_POWER
or other power related events at all (eclipse, soul shards|embers|fury, shadow orbs etc)

Well, it's actually registering for both UNIT_PET and PLAYER_PET_CHANGED, since WoWWiki wasn't clear on the status of PLAYER_PET_CHANGED. I'll go ahead and remove it, but it shouldn't have been affecting functionality (and indeed has been working fine for my hunter). Thanks for the info!

I noticed that your code is registering for PLAYER_PET_CHANGED to update the pet's information - this event is no longer fired, having been replaced by UNIT_PET with arg1 = "player". Just thought you should know, since it may affect the functionality of the pet information, particularly in the moments between a pet's spawning and health/mana recalculation.

Great mod, thanks for your work, Phanx.

If you were directed to this download by GridStatusHealingReduced's message, and not OnScreenHealth, I believe you need to head here:

I chose "showOOC" for the player and it works, but the Pet numbers are always displayed

Is there a way to allow the Pet to also show only while in combat?

Yes and no. OnScreenHealth uses the Ace2 framework, so the options are written as an AceOptions data table. By default, configuration is available through the command line using the AceConsole library. However, as with any Ace2 addon, you can access the options through a GUI if you install an addon to do so. DeuceCommander (dropdown menu interface) and Waterfall (traditional GUI interface) are popular choices. Both are available from http://files.wowace.com/. Also, if you have any addons that use the Rock framework (these include CowTip, FuBar, PitBull, Parrot, TitanPanel, etc) you can access the options for Ace2 addons from within the RockConfig window.

I am (very slowly) working on a "2.0" version of OnScreenHealth that will not use Ace2, and will have its options available in the Interface Options window. No ETA, though.

I posted on your bug tracker ticket. I need a lot more information than just an "X doesn't work" post; please provide the requested feedback in the bug tracker.

Uploaded r67610. This fixes the error generated when typing "/osh colors", adds support for LibSharedMedia-3.0 (although 2.0 is still supported for now if you don't have 3.0), removes SharedMedia-2.0 from optional dependencies (since it was officially removed), and adds SharedMedia to optional dependencies (since it was updated to support all library versions and officially replaces -2.0).

Uploading version 20300-r02. This release adds support for LibMobHealth-4.0 (used by the popular PitBull unit frames), fixes standby mode, and includes some miscellaneous small cleanups.
