Skillet: A trade skill window replacement

Skillet is a replacement for the default tradeskill and craft UI, and is based on ATSW , by Slarti. This is not a continuation of ATSW, which is still going strong as far as I know, but is rather a brand new mod based in the ideas in ATSW.

Skillet is now hosted by curse.com and is available through the various updators that reference that site.

Features
  • Larger the the standard tradeskill window
  • Built-in queue for creating multiple, different items
  • User editable list of notes attached to reagents and crafted items.
  • Automatically buy reagents for queued recipes when visiting a vendor
  • Recipes can be filtered by name, whether or not you could level when creating the item, and whether or not you have the mats available.
  • If you can craft a reagent needed by a recipe, then clicking on that reagent will take you to its recipe (same features as Reverse Engineering.
  • Queued items are saved when you log out and are restored on log in
  • If the item to be crafted requires a minimum level to use, that level can be displayed along with the recipe (disabled by default)
  • The shopping list of items needed for all queued recipes for all alts can be displayed at banks, auction houses, or from the command line
  • Items needed for crafting queued items can be automatically retrieved from your bank (by using the shopping list)
  • Sorting of recipes (name, difficulty, and level)
  • Complete or mostly complete localizations for deDE, koKR, zhCN, and zhTW
Planned (Future) Features
  • Ability to view queues of alts
  • Tracking inventory on alternate characters
  • Sorting by slot (head/arms/leg etc)
  • Custom filtering of recipes (have mats, have mats in bank, min level/max level, etc)
  • "Craft Until .." where Skillet will continue to make items until you run out of reagents or a certain skill level is met or until the recipe becomes grey/green.
Supported / Tested Mods

Skillet has been tested with the following mods. Other mods that change or update the tradeskill window may not work.
Mod authors: please contact me if you would like to make your mod work with Skillet, or you would like me to make Skillet work with you mods. I'm always happy to discuss changing the code so it is easier to integrate with.
When in doubt, contact me anyway. I'd rather hear about a problem twice than not at all.

I looked into it and it looks like because of the way EnchantrixBarker is designed, I cannot change Skillet enough to work with it.

To get the two to work together, EnchantrixBarker will have to be changed to support Skillet. The good news is that this would be really easy for them to do. If you want to request it from them, you can give them this code, which needs to be added to EnchantrixBarker:

Skillet and Advanced Auctioneer

Hey, First of all i would like to say thanks. I have been looking for ACE ATSW replacement for ages

I was wonderiong if you could Advanced Auctioneer into Skillet. AA has a trade barker for enchanters which puts a trade barker button into the Tradeskill window. It worked with ATSW but it doesnt seem that Skillet supports it.

Im running the latest release (as of yesty) from files.wowace, I went back and double checked, and indeed this feature is turned on, but last night while I was grinding the last 3 points of my engineering on those blasted adamantite rifles it certainly wasnt working. Thanks to your cloned reverse engineering functionality it wasnt much of an issue, just an inconvienience

Another feature I'd like to request would be something along the lines of 'SomeAssemblyRequired' wherein, the base materials to complete an item were summerized and postable to the chat window. So if someone asked me what materials they needed to get for me to make them an adamantite rifle, with a single click I could whisper them 12 thorium bars, 8 adamantite, 2 primal earth, etc rather than '2 thorium tubes, 2 adamantite frames, etc'

Anyhow in reference to the potential bug, let me know if theres any info I can provide, or testing I can do to help ya sort it out! Thanks again for the great work~!

If you still have a copy of Skillet.lua from the SavedVariables directory somewhere, I'd love to see it to try and figure out how I broke the upgrade process.

The same goes for anyone else who runs across this as well.

NOTE on upgrading...

For those upgrading and having the issue where skillet doesn't come up. Deleted the skillet.lua file in the savedvariables directory. Happened to me, figured it would happen to someone else too.

I added this feature in version 1.6 of Skillet. If you are using 1.6 (or later) could you check the options page and see if the feature got disabled somehow?

First off, thanks for the excellent addon! My feature request is auto queing of sub-components when an item is qued... for example, I want to make an Adamantite Rifle, which takes 2 thorium tubes, 2 adamantite frames, and 4 handfulls of fel iron bolts, If I have all the materials to make these in my bags I want to be able to simply que up the rifle and have the other bits added to the que before it.

This is the only feature from ATSW that I miss while using skillet... and Its only a factor for me on my engineer. thanks again for your great work here!

This is all true. I incorrectly listed the dependecy for WindowLib/Window-1.0 so a lot of the updaters that reference wowace.com would have missed it.

This is fixed in the development version now.
