Skillet: A trade skill window replacement

Skillet is a replacement for the default tradeskill and craft UI, and is based on ATSW , by Slarti. This is not a continuation of ATSW, which is still going strong as far as I know, but is rather a brand new mod based in the ideas in ATSW.

Skillet is now hosted by curse.com and is available through the various updators that reference that site.

Features
  • Larger the the standard tradeskill window
  • Built-in queue for creating multiple, different items
  • User editable list of notes attached to reagents and crafted items.
  • Automatically buy reagents for queued recipes when visiting a vendor
  • Recipes can be filtered by name, whether or not you could level when creating the item, and whether or not you have the mats available.
  • If you can craft a reagent needed by a recipe, then clicking on that reagent will take you to its recipe (same features as Reverse Engineering.
  • Queued items are saved when you log out and are restored on log in
  • If the item to be crafted requires a minimum level to use, that level can be displayed along with the recipe (disabled by default)
  • The shopping list of items needed for all queued recipes for all alts can be displayed at banks, auction houses, or from the command line
  • Items needed for crafting queued items can be automatically retrieved from your bank (by using the shopping list)
  • Sorting of recipes (name, difficulty, and level)
  • Complete or mostly complete localizations for deDE, koKR, zhCN, and zhTW
Planned (Future) Features
  • Ability to view queues of alts
  • Tracking inventory on alternate characters
  • Sorting by slot (head/arms/leg etc)
  • Custom filtering of recipes (have mats, have mats in bank, min level/max level, etc)
  • "Craft Until .." where Skillet will continue to make items until you run out of reagents or a certain skill level is met or until the recipe becomes grey/green.
Supported / Tested Mods

Skillet has been tested with the following mods. Other mods that change or update the tradeskill window may not work.
Mod authors: please contact me if you would like to make your mod work with Skillet, or you would like me to make Skillet work with you mods. I'm always happy to discuss changing the code so it is easier to integrate with.
When in doubt, contact me anyway. I'd rather hear about a problem twice than not at all.

More searches / filters

I'd love if Skillet could search or filter by:

Battle / Guardian elixir (default UI allows this by entering "battle" or "guardian" as the search term, Skillet does not)
Major / Minor glyph (default UI doesn't allow this either)

Is there any way to not show the recipes craftable with banked items when selecting "Hide uncraftables"?

Right now, if I check that option I will still see all the recipes I could do with the items in my bank (with a [0] count).

Thanks (and awesome addon...I can't play without it anymore!)

Being able to move items up and down the list would be very nice...

Hi, I'm looking through your posts and haven't seen it yet. I was wondering if there's a way to do two things. One, a Custom List option. I have a tailor that I love to sort by cloth type. I know I can just enter the cloth type and it would come up in the search but I would also like to sort them by rp vs other, like shirts and tuxes would go here while robes and bracers would go there.

Second, I was wondering if there was anyway an icon could be added to the list screen. I find it profitable to make world drops, over dungeons and Reputation recipes over vendor/trainer for obvious reasons. This type of thing could also work as a Custom List Option too, but since I was asking anyway I figured, "What would be the harm"

DO NOT use any queue when cooking recipes that use Northern Spices, every time I have done so somehow Skillet skips a line or something and ends up wasting the spices making the wrong recipe! Serious error!

Inscription fix...

in SkilletStitch module...

Code:
            -- Workaround for missing items in the Periodic table library that
            local _,_,id = string.find(reagentlink, "|Hitem:(%d+):")
            id = tonumber(id)
            if id == 30817 or id == 4539 or id == 38426 or id == 2593 or id == 34412 or id == 39502 or id == 10648 or id == 39501 or id == 39354 then
                -- 30817 == simple flour
                -- 4539 == Goldenbark Apple
                -- 38426 == Eternium Thread
                -- 2593 == Flask of Port
                -- 34412 == Sparkling Apple Cider
		-- 39502 == Resilient Parchment
		-- 10648 == Common Parchment
		-- 39501 == Heavy Parchment
		-- 39354 == Light Parchment
                vendor = true
            end
        end
Added the item IDs for missing Parchments for inscription. Don't know for sure if Light/Common were missing but Heavy and Resilient were.

I just learned Delicious Chocolate Cake today, and after using the shopping list to buy all ingredients for 1 cake, I ended up w/ extra ingredients left over. Perhaps the ingredients were changed and/or skillet has the wrong information for this recipe...

Dewdrop errors

I did delete Dewdrop from FuBar\libs a few days ago, and I haven't seen the errors since even after learning new recipes/patterns. That is generally when the errors would appear: when there are new items in a tradeskill and I open up Skillet for the first time after.

I'll keep my fingers crossed. Thank you.

Shows recusive mats for crafting

When I installed this mod on another computer, everytime I brought the mod up it would also have another window up next to it that when I clicked on a recipe it would show total mats needed to craft that item. It broke it down recursivly so that when someone needed something complex to craft, I can send them a tell with all the total mats they will need. Well when I installed the mod on another computer the window is not there and I cant figure out how to get that window to show up. HELP

still getting sorting errors

I am still getting errors like the following examples whenever opening a tradeskill window, and the window's contents are not displayed completely or correctly. When I close the window giving the error and open it again, everything looks fine and no error (for that session).

I will post this information on the FuBar_SkillsPlus comments also.

Enchanting:
Code:
[2008/12/14 15:01:52-1600-x1]: Skillet-1.13-153\UI\Sorting.lua:188: invalid order function for sorting
Tailor, Blizzard trade window opened instead of Skillet:
Code:
[2008/12/14 15:03:26-1600-x1]: SkilletStitch-1.1-159 (Skillet):358: Usage: GetItemDataByIndex('profession', index)
<in C code>: in function `CastSpellByName'
FuBar_SkillsPlusFu-3.0.3\SkillsPlusFu.lua:603: in function `func'
Dewdrop-2.0-90320 (FuBar):732: in function <...erface\AddOns\FuBar\libs\Dewdrop-2.0\Dewdrop-2.0.lua:671>
Cooking, Blizz window opened:
Code:
[2008/12/14 15:05:10-1600-x1]: SkilletStitch-1.1-159 (Skillet):358: Usage: GetItemDataByIndex('profession', index)
<in C code>: in function `CastSpellByName'
FuBar_SkillsPlusFu-3.0.3\SkillsPlusFu.lua:495: in function `func'
Dewdrop-2.0-90320 (FuBar):732: in function <...erface\AddOns\FuBar\libs\Dewdrop-2.0\Dewdrop-2.0.lua:671>
First Aid:
Code:
[2008/12/14 15:06:17-1600-x1]: SkilletStitch-1.1-159 (Skillet):358: Usage: GetItemDataByIndex('profession', index)
<in C code>: in function `CastSpellByName'
FuBar_SkillsPlusFu-3.0.3\SkillsPlusFu.lua:531: in function `func'
Dewdrop-2.0-90320 (FuBar):732: in function <...erface\AddOns\FuBar\libs\Dewdrop-2.0\Dewdrop-2.0.lua:671>
Thank you so very much for spending your time and efforts to make such a useful tool, and I hope the problem is not to hard to find.

Edit:
Looking at the errors, they all point to Dewdrip-2.0 in AddOns\FuBar\libs. But Skillet doesn't have any Dewdrop library folder. Can I assume that Skillet doesn't use Dewdrop?

I wonder what would happen if I deleted the Dewdrop folder in FuBar\libs.

I once used this mod simply because it allowed me open both the tradeskill window and AH window and post what I craft, but I really liked the simple version of the default mod where it'd only show what I'm able to craft if I actually have mats in my inventory.

Anyone have any suggestion of how to do this in more minimalistic way?
