This is a great way to back up your addons, setting, and cache. This has saved my butt soo many times. You should always have several backups of Wow setting.
I am not the original author of this utility. Not updated lately, so I tweaked it to backup the "Cache" folder instead of the WDB folder. Blizz changed WDB to Cache in a patch. Fully compatible with Wow 2.3 and up.
Saw a batch file for backing up your UI by Talissanti and decided to make my own. It uses the command line version of WinRAR. If you have WinRAR installed, it copies the command line executable to the appropriate place, and if you don't it displays the site to download it. It also launches WoW when finished. It backs up the Addons, WTF, and WDB folders and stores the backup in a dated folder in the WoW directory under the created 'UI Backup' folder. It also copies it to a secondary location for a true backup solution. This can be very helpful if you change/edit addons a lot, or if you use addons that you can't loose the data from; like FlexBar, Lootlink, or Auctioneer just to name a few.
You can change the location of the backups in the batch file. Paths are now customizable. Just edit config section at top of batch file.
You can set this as your WoW launcher to be sure you have a current UI backup at all times.
This is compatable with the current version of WoW, and I don't see it becomming incompatable any time soon. I just re-uploaded 1.6 so it isn't listed as archived/not updated anymore.
