Satrina Buff Frames 3  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.1.25
by: Satrina, father0fnine

SBF has a maintainer!
I have to say, I am amazed by the number of people who just kept plugging along. It makes me feel bad that I do not have the time to keep working on this myself - you guys are all awesome! The good news is that a new maintainer has been found. Meet father0fnine, who is taking over SBF. I'm sure you'll all show him as much love as you showed me all these years

* Added the ability for users to add custom sounds for expiry warnings. See SatrinaBuffFrame/Media/SBFSounds.lua for directions
* When changing SBF profiles, the list of frames shown in ButtonFacade setup will update correctly

* Buff and Name help in non-English localisations has been updated with the current English version. Translators will need to re-translate them
* ha filters should behave a little bit better now
* Vehicle buff frames will update and clear when you exit a vehicle
* Hopefully (hopefully!) the overextending bar thing is gone finally.

* Added vehicle to the list of units for buff frames on the general tab

Version 3.1.0

Castable Abilities and Shared Profiles

I used the same profile between characters of different classes and SBF saved the castable abilities of both in the one profile -- getting itself completely confused and in the end not showing anything with castable debuffs ticked.

It might be a better idea to save castable abilities per-character or per-class rather than in the named profile.

For some reason, SBF doesn't show when I have more than one of the same buff. This is really annoying on fights like Malygos where I'd like to know how many power spark debuffs I have.

Tnx m8 but cycircled works fine for every mod that it has plug in even for BT4 only problem that ismt even a problem is that i need to use /sbf options so it change sbframes. As for ButtonFacade i dont know why i dont like it On the other hand Cycircled spends 300-500kb and ButtonFacade 800-1mb+ memory, if some1 can update Cycircled and add small options so u can change colors on different plug in would be realy great...Tnx for the advice but i rather learn lua coding then to use ButtonFacade

Hey m8 love ure addon im using pitbull frames so instead of putting all the other classes buffes debuffes im using ure addon coz it simple and clear. Now i have small problem im using cycircled but it hasnt been updated for 3.0.3 and when i log in game the Satrina Buff Frames are showed as normal blizzard style and i need to type /sbf options so they turn to cycircled action button texture. What can be the problem? This is happening since Wotlk is on and i updated to last SBF version.

I'm just starting to play around with this mod and so far, I'm highly impressed. Since I'm coming from EBB though, there are two things that are making it hard for me to make the switch.

1) I'd really like to color different types of buffs. For example, in EBB, I had a green color for auras, purple for weapon buffs/poison and blue for everything else. Any way of doing this currently or working it in at some point?

2) Is there any way to truncate a buff name? When adding a timer to the right side of a bar, long buff names (such as Greater Blessing of Wisdom) end up overlapping the timer. I've tried using name[short], but really didn't like the results.

Hair splitting aside, I really love the flexibility this mod has. Opens up a whole new world of options for my UI

Thanks for taking the time to respond to these comments I know you get a ton of people asking questions...only 400 or so comments and thats not counting emails and stuff. So I understand you are busy, take your time, and remember all your hard work is appreciated.

Do you have buff flowing enabled? If you wiped saved variables there should be no way that debuffs are going into frame 1.
No flowing enabled. The first time I set it up I did, then turned it off, then had to wipe my folder. It is cool I got it working fine just need that 2:h filter, so no worries.

Which has nothing to do with buffs being shown in the frame. I'll make that clearer in 3.1, but those checkboxes control only what appears in the list on the left hand side of the spells tab.
yeah I wasnt sure, just thought I would mention that, that options does not stay where it should per frame change.

Just tested this a few times. Created a party left party, booted people still having the buffs stick. Running the newest version as well

I have also wiped my wtf and saved variables folder as well and re-worked everything and I still get the same problem. When I have the 2:h filter it fixes it and brings my debuffs back to frame 2.

Also under the spells tab there is an options to check or uncheck buff and debuff...

Phaux - I just found your email in my spam folder haha.

- The effects that happen with 1:to and 1:e are what will happen by default, so you can remove those filters (saves a bit of CPU time processing buffs)

- The 2:h filter is also redundant, as that should be the default action for debuffs

Awesome and thanks, I am in no hurry I understand that what you do is time consuming and hard work. It is also much appreciated.

I will def. take out the 1:e and 1:to, however when I remove my 2:h my debuffs appear in frame 1 and not in frame 2 where they are defaulted to. I have also wiped my wtf and saved variables folder as well and re-worked everything and I still get the same problem. When I have the 2:h filter it fixes it and brings my debuffs back to frame 2.

Also under the spells tab there is an options to check or uncheck buff and debuff... You can edit this per frame as well via the current frame menu, however it does not work all the way. If I were to change frame 2 to debuff through spells tab then go back to frame 1, frame 1 would now be defaulted to debuff, so I then change frame 1 to buff then go back to frame 2 and its defaulted as buff again. Not sure why this is happening, again I have already wiped my proper folders and re-worked from scratch.
