I have to say, I am amazed by the number of people who just kept plugging along. It makes me feel bad that I do not have the time to keep working on this myself - you guys are all awesome! If it's any help, I had pet unit problems in 3.0.4 too, but much less serious. If I defined a frame as pet unit then while I didn't have pet unit the red "center" anchors would be visible even while the configuration dialog wasn't up.

Pet unit problems in 3.0.5.

I defined a buff frame and configured pet buffs to go into it. I have two problems.

Firstly if I don't have a pet and go into the configuration and out the frame stays up with all the test buffs unmoving until I do get a pet in which case it reverts to normal.

Secondly, I got onto a vehicle for quest Aces High! and put some pet buffs on, and then dismounted (possibly by completing the quest) with the buff still active. In this scenario the buff that had been up stayed visible in the frame, no counting down.

Here is my current layout. I have 2 buffbars showing only buffs. The first one is similar to Blizzard default and shows auras and buffs with duration of 1m and up in a 2x12 layout.

Then the second one is a row with description text and large duration, where all buffs fall in to when duration is less than 1m. I tested with bars, but found that I like bigger icons which is hard to have with bars (as bars are linked to icon height making the bars very big).



The 3rd area shows only debuff on myself and isn't show here. I keep it more central in view so I can react to debuffs.

If there is one thing, it is that I wish recoloring of expiring buff time would be 10s and less, not 20s as it is now.

I use ButtonFacade with Caith layout.

Hi Satrina,

SBF is running very solid for me great work!

There is just one small request left from me: Can you please modify the tracking so that it is the 'buff' with the longest duration? My idea is that the tracking should always be on the same location for easier switching. At the moment tracking is below auras and because they are changing frequently i have often problems to find the tracking in the buff list.

I hope you can do me this little favor

Is it possible to filter target debuffs ? I made separated frame for target debuffs but when I assign some debuffs on Spell page to this frame it doesn't work at all.

Not sure what causes it. Just started noticing it in the last day or two. I have Buff Frame 2 (SBF 2) set to use an icon, count, bars, timer and name.

You can also try setting the throttling to zero: /sbf throttle 0
Changing the throttle seemed to have no noticeable effect. Tried values of 0, 0.5 and 1.

Update: Hmm, now it seems to be counting down debuffs properly. I'll keep paying attention to see if I can detect a pattern.

Update 2: Opening the options menu/mode and then closing/exiting it seems to snap it back to updating the debuff times properly.

Update 3: Entered then exited an instance, then killed a mob to enter and exit combat. Only noticed a slight jitter at first, but after 10-15 seconds it ground to a halt. Opened and closed the options again then killed another mob and saw the same behavior.

I do have counts enabled on the counts tab, but they don't show for Malygos because the sparks each create their own debuff (but SBF only seems to show one of the spark debuffs, without a count). It does work fine on Thaddius where the game does make a stack of debuffs.

You cannot see a DK Presence as a buff or aura afaik.

They work similar to warrior stances, it is possible to see when a DK switch presence, but there will never be a buff icon for it.

The things you might have seen are probably talents that show up. F.e. Unholy Aura (Increases Movement 15%), or Frost Aura (spell resistance). These talents do show up as timeless buffs. And the icon looks similar to the presence with same name.

I've also been noticing in 3.0.4 that debuff timers seem to only get updated every 5 seconds or so sometimes, which can be undesirable when there's less than 10-20 seconds left. Just now I bandaged myself as a test and the timer froze at 49 sec and didn't update again until there were 7 seconds left.

I put 3.0.5 up. Release notes on the main page.

Elloria - This should fix the problem with people leaving group and still having the buff bars full

I added three new options for Name:
Name[trunc:15] will chop off everything after the 15th character of the buff name
Name[chop:15] will chop off the first 15 characters of the buff name

Since those look retarded, I also added this

Name[of] will chop off "Greater Blessing of", "Elixir of", etc. and leave just the last bit. So, Elixir of Major Frost Power becomes just Major Frost Power, and so on.
