Satrina Buff Frames 3  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 3.1.25
by: Satrina, father0fnine
SBF has a maintainer!
I have to say, I am amazed by the number of people who just kept plugging along. It makes me feel bad that I do not have the time to keep working on this myself - you guys are all awesome! The good news is that a new maintainer has been found. Meet father0fnine, who is taking over SBF. I'm sure you'll all show him as much love as you showed me all these years

SBF 3.2 with clickable buffs
Go here: http://www.wowinterface.com/download...o.php?id=12524

+ SBFOptions will now make the background for names visible when configuring to help you not overlap the icons when positioning (which can cause clicks on icons to not register)

Version 3.1.23
+ Fix an error when tracking is enabled

Version 3.1.22

+ You should now be able to click off player buffs
+ Fixed problems with the colour picker
+ You can now remove/edit filters

Version 3.1.9

Version 3.1.8

* Some small fixes for ButtonFacade. Some skins will still not get border colours. I've sent a message to StormFX to see if there's something I am missing or if it's just an inconsistency with some BF skins
* Added the ability for users to add custom sounds for expiry warnings. See SatrinaBuffFrame/Media/SBFSounds.lua for directions
* When changing SBF profiles, the list of frames shown in ButtonFacade setup will update correctly

Version 3.1.7

* You can now reset the profile for the current character by using /sbf reset

Version 3.1.5
* TOC version has been updated for WoW 3.1
* SBF will no longer allow you to try and flow buffs for different units. (There's no way to make that work without a major code revamp)
* Buff and Name help in non-English localisations has been updated with the current English version. Translators will need to re-translate them
* ha filters should behave a little bit better now
* Vehicle buff frames will update and clear when you exit a vehicle
* Hopefully (hopefully!) the overextending bar thing is gone finally.

* Cooldown sweeps should not flicker in combat now

* Added vehicle to the list of units for buff frames on the general tab

With my shaman I get some errors / problems.

First - Totem Buffs are shown - independend if the totem is in range or not
The healer weapen enchant show "Erdenkind 5" (german client) as buff - no tooltip.

And I get some errors:
[2008/10/22 19:28:30-2755-x3]: SatrinaBuffFrame-3.0\SBFBuff.lua:430: invalid order function for sorting

If I turn TotemTimers off - it works better!!
Buff's disapear if I'm out of range.
But instead some totems do not show up like mana totem or healing totem.

Beta 13
- Added a checkbox on the Global tab to disable BF for SBF only.
- Performance tweaks

Make sure you have ButtonFacade 3.0r170 as well.

If you disable ButtonFacade from the options panel, you need to reload UI or log out and back in to make that take effect.

Spanko - I'm not able to reproduce your error. Any extra detail you can give (what you were doing, what buffs were up, your class, etc.) would help a lot. Thanks!

A-ha!

Found another error in ButtonFacade where it would create an infinite number of frames instead of re-using ones it had created previously. That explains the ever-increasing memory count that is not attributed to any addon. Hammering SBF+BF right now at 600 buffs/second and everything looks perfect.

I'll do a bit more checking in the BF code and release it to Curse in a bit. Also Beta 13 will come with the BF disable option, just in case.

I doubt the skin actually matters, but at least I can grab that and test with it to be closer to your setups. THanks!

Now I really need to sleep

Hm, maybe on to something here. Uncapped my test harness so it's pushing 600 buffs per second through the addon, and after 5 minutes my framerate is approaching zero with ever increasing delay on each update cycle (sounds familiar!) Interestingly enough, both SBF and BF are holding steady on memory, though total memory usage has increased by 16MiB unattributed to any addon. Someone is leaking memory and not taking credit for it, it seems. Hopefully tomorrow I can pinpoint the culprit.

It's definitely something in BF. I can run the same test with it disabled with no memory leakage or performance hit.

It most likely isn't a conflict. I was kinda hoping some other addon was loading LibButtonFacade before ButtonFacade itself did. Since I forgot to increment the version in the library when I updated, anyone who loaded first (which would be a non-fixed version) would be the one that actually stayed loaded. Ah well.

Just checked all my mods and none of them embed BF. I can email a list of everything I run if you think it might be an addon conflict somewhere though.

Very strange. I didn't see anything else that might cause a problem in BF's code, but I'll comb over it again. My SBF test harness hammers full frame buff changes every .25 seconds on average for 20 minutes, and I had BF holding steady on memory. Not quite the same as actual raid conditions, I guess. Well, We're also in Sunwell tomorrow. Maybe I can get my mage in there at least on the clears to Kalec and do some in-depth testing.

My only thought is, that effectively we're getting 2x the short term buffs. You're getting health sure, but we're getting the health and mana ones.

Overall, it just seems like the most likely thing, but I'll see what I can do in regards running some profiling myself and see what else might be causing it. It's pretty much insane.

edit: sorry for the double post, just trying to keep thoughts organized.
