Satrina Buff Frames 3  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 3.1.25
by: Satrina, father0fnine
SBF has a maintainer!
I have to say, I am amazed by the number of people who just kept plugging along. It makes me feel bad that I do not have the time to keep working on this myself - you guys are all awesome! The good news is that a new maintainer has been found. Meet father0fnine, who is taking over SBF. I'm sure you'll all show him as much love as you showed me all these years

SBF 3.2 with clickable buffs

* ha filters should behave a little bit better now
* Vehicle buff frames will update and clear when you exit a vehicle

Issue with tooltips

The tooltips that display when hovering the mouse over the buff/debuff icons seize to show when an icon moves position due to another expiring.
But reappear when another buff is triggered, even if that doesn't cause the icons to be rearranged. I'll try to describe the scenario....

Using my warrior,
I hit Blood rage then Battleshout, both icons appear and both show their tooltip. Once Bloodrage expires the Battleshout icon moves to occupy the slot that bloodrage preciously used and now the tooltip is not displaying when hovering the mouse over it.
Next, I hit Shieldblock, it gets added to the list of buffs and now all of the tooltips display again, until Shieldblock expires at least. Now the tooltip display for Battleshout is gone again.

Hope that helps.

Great Addon, can't wait for debuff filtering of the target. Found and submitted a few odd bugs. I'm amazed I never found this before, it's very nice.

Updated to the latest version. On login I get

.../SartrinaBuffFrame/Libs/Ace-Timer3.0/Ace-Timer3.0.lua:203: attempt to compare nil with a number
I can't get the buff frames to show buffs at all. When I use /sbf options I see the demo buffs, but when I close out of options I get the error again, and no buff display shows.

Update: Confirmed this will happen when SBF and SBFOptions are the only addons I load on the ptr.

Re: Re: I'm not sure if you've gotten to this yet...

Beta 4 is now up
- More tweaking of sticky tab in options (nothing visual, just error checking and such)
- ButtonFacade should work now
- Fixes from the known issues list

ButtonFacade just needed a few tweaks in SBF's BF module and a bit in the SBF code to deal with the new frame layout stuff and it seems to be good to go. (Bonus: Since buff counts are no longer part of the icon, I was able to remove the crazy fixup code to re-anchor them all the time.)
There may be some issues with colours and borders, but I didn't get time to check very closely - let me know if you see any. Some people with 2.8 were having apparently random problems with colours saving, while others never had any problems at all. Not much has changed in the SBF code around that. If you can reproduce it reliably so I can finally get that gone, I'd be happy.

I'm off for the weekend in about a half hour so if anything broke horribly, you'll have to revert to Beta 3. Nothing I changed *should* make it go boom, though. I'll be back Monday late afternoon, and hopefully this can get promoted to release for patch day (with a minimum of fixes =) but if it has to go for a few more beta rounds after patch, so be it.

SBF on live has an option for Cycircled support; do you have (or plan) on doing something similar for Button Facade?

Also, do you still require the separate SBF Options, or is that built in now in this download?
SBF has supported ButtonFacade since 2.8.5.
Edit: I now have working BF for beta, but it's still disabled in SBF until I make sure all is happy.

SBFOptions is always bundled in the zip here on WoWInterface, but is a separate download from WoWAce because it's a separate addon (and so a separate project in the SVN). I split out SBFOptions from SBF a very long time ago because it is 85% of the size of SBF itself. There's no reason to keep all of that loaded all the time.

Re: Something broke....

You can use 3:e to put your weapon enchants into frame 3 without needing to make a bunch of filters for every name and each rank for them.

Will look into that for sure - thanks!

Not sure where this broke, but here's the deal:

I use 3 buff frames. 1/2 are buffs and debuff. 3 is weapon buffs, only 2 of them. This was more or less fine in beta 1. I could add and track my weapons, never mind that i had to add each rank of each spell seperately.

Now, with b3, they don't seem to show up/disappear properly. For one, they show up in frame 1 and 3. Also, in frame 3, the one weapon i have, showed up twice, and i can't DW yet. Lastly, i can right click to remove it, but it just removes the icon from Frame 1, ignoring frame 3 completely.

Beta 3 is up
- Redid the sticky frames interface in SBFOptions
- Added ability to colour names of debuffs separately from buffs

I'm much closer to happy with the sticky frames interface in options now.

Clavicle - I have not been able to reproduce your misbehaviour. Let me know if it's still there for you, or if I cunningly fixed it without even knowing.

Quick question about that... Are you using Buttonfacade? I have a similar issue with the latest Autobar addon for 3.0.2 when using buttonfacade to skin it.
Just wondering, and trying to get some more potential info for Satrina to have available.

Firstly, when you go into the options window and then close out of it, all buffs stop being displayed until you gain or lose a buff. Not a major issue.

Secondly, while you can change the colour of bars for debuffs, you can't change the colour of names for debuffs. As I dont like bars for buffs and I show everything on one buff frame, I would love to be able to have debuff names show in a different colour to buffs.

This is really shaping up to be an awesome buff frame. Thank you.

Just found something else. Even though I have "Auras have max time" checked, and I am sorting my buffs by descending time, Auras appear at the bottom of the buff list. Not a huge deal.

Update: I have found when I log in I need to open /sbf options, close it and then cast a buff on myself to get the buff window displaying.

Sticky frames is very early, very beta functionality. SBF will happily allow you to sticky frame 2 to frame 1 and then frame 1 to frame 2, which will make things go boom. Feedback on its operation and oddities with it working is very welcome.
