Satrina Buff Frames 3  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.1.25
by: Satrina, father0fnine

SBF has a maintainer!
I have to say, I am amazed by the number of people who just kept plugging along. It makes me feel bad that I do not have the time to keep working on this myself - you guys are all awesome! The good news is that a new maintainer has been found. Meet father0fnine, who is taking over SBF. I'm sure you'll all show him as much love as you showed me all these years

SBF 3.2 with clickable buffs

* ha filters should behave a little bit better now
* Vehicle buff frames will update and clear when you exit a vehicle

* Added vehicle to the list of units for buff frames on the general tab

Hey Satrina. Before I get started, let me say I've used this addon for a while now, and in every single UI I make. The flexibility of it is awesome.

Now, the reason I'm posting. I have a problem on my DK. I wanted to show the icons for Frost Fever and Blood Plague on my target, as well as how much is left before they expire, so I can use Pestilence to bump them back up to full timer before they wear off. Using SBF works great, but there's the problem with Dancing Rune Weapon. It'll double the diseases, and since I placed the two diseases in between my health bars I don't have any room for them. Is there a way to remove the problem? I get that DRW's diseases have the exact same name as mine does, but in the combat log it says "Rune Weapon's Blood Plague". Would that be enough to exclude it?

I tried using n~rune, n~weapon, n~rune weapon, !n=rune weapon's frost fever, and !n=rune weapon's blood plague in the filters while Blacklist is checked, but it didn't work.

Right now I'm still using SBF for it, but I have to limit the amount of debuffs visible to just two, and apply my own diseases before spawning the DRW. Although, that's the rotation, so it's not that big of a problem.

Weapon Buffs

I was having the display show zero as many others have stated. This would occur for not just my Shaman but my Rogue as well. I may have found the issue. IF you are running this awesome mod as well as omni CC please be sure to turn off "Surpress omni CC timers on cooldown sweep" on the "icons" tab in SBF Options making sure that you have selected "Buffs" or whatever you may have the player buff frame named. This has in fact fixed my only issue with SBF and many thanks for this addon!

Having the same issues, would love an update for this

Simple matter of the spacing between rows/columns. this can be changed in the SBF settings.

The "c" filter still not working on some spells. As I can see the reason is
Code:
      elseif (ex.c == CASTABLE) then
        subrc = buff.castableBy == sbf.playerClass
lines in SBFilters.lua.
For those broken buffs buff.castableBy == "ANYONE".

For.Ex: Mage's spell "Slow Fall".

Still have the issue with SBF not setting the BF skin unless I open the options window D;

After a quick glance at the code, I tried /dump SBF.bfModule.db at various times, but it showed no change after changing stuff in the SBF or BF options. the SBF.bfModule is non-nil so its not a load order issue or such (was my first suspicion !)

Just throwing that out there I'll play around with it some more later to see if I can figure it out. I use far too many addons, so it could be a conflict of some sort /shrug

"auras have max time" option is not working for me.

Wether the options is check or unchecked, they wont shift position.. I've tried everything I could.. and it does that in every frame, on any character...

I use Satrine Buff Frames 3.1.20

I was wondering if SBF highlights the buff type. e.g. targetting hostile character with a 'Blessing of Kings' buff - is there an option that will highlight it as magic like it does for debuffs?

DreamLayout without ButtonFacade

Hello, before I ask my question: great addon, it works like a charm!

My question is:
is it possible to add a DreamLayout-like background (in the end: a 1px-border) to each buff icon? At the moment I use Furbish for my auras, but I really would like to use the advanced options that SBF offers.

Code:
icon:SetTexCoord(.1, .9, .1, .9)
icon:SetDrawLayer("ARTWORK")
base:SetBackdrop({bgFile = "Interface\\ChatFrame\\ChatFrameBackground",
                          edgeSize= 16, insets = { left = -1, right = -1, top = -1, bottom = -1 }})
        base:SetBackdropColor(0, 0, 0, .8)

This part of code I added in the "buffs.lua" of Furbish to give it the look I wanted, and I just wanted to know if something similar is possible within SBF. I am just too dumb to find a fitting spot for it. ^^ I am not able to code really, I just modifiy things here and there. In the end I want to avoid using ButtonFacade, because it doesn't work that well distorting the textures at my UI-scale instead beeing a fixed 1px-border through the addition of a backdrop.

Thanks for your time in advance!

Another observation:
The temporary weapon enchants' duration also start to blink almost immediately after leaving an arena or battleground before victory. If I play until the scoreboard pops up and leave that way, the weapons are usually fine. If I leave early, they get bugged. I'm usually in combat when I leave as well. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Temp weapon enchant problem

First of all, I'd like to say that SBF are the best buff frames featuring the default blizzard layout that I have found.

However, I am having a problem with temporary weapon enchants, rogue poisons to be specific.

Scenario-

I have removed the temp weapon enchants from the main buff frame via "e" entered in the blacklist.

I have added a new buff frame and added only weapon enchants to display via "e" entered in the whitelist.

I apply poison to 3 weapons, the new buff frame designated for weapon buffs works perfectly fine for the weapons that I apply poison to that I have equipped.

*PROBLEM* However, when I switch to the 3rd weapon I applied poison to (not originally equipped when poisoning). The icon & timer do not change, and stay the same for for the originally 2 poisoned weapons (the ones I had equipped when applying).

Any help with this?

Thanks!
