Satrina Buff Frames 3  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.1.25
by: Satrina, father0fnine

SBF has a maintainer!
I have to say, I am amazed by the number of people who just kept plugging along. It makes me feel bad that I do not have the time to keep working on this myself - you guys are all awesome! The good news is that a new maintainer has been found. Meet father0fnine, who is taking over SBF. I'm sure you'll all show him as much love as you showed me all these years

I'll have a beta of 3.1 out by Saturday with fixes for most of this stuff. I did a bunch of work on buff timing and bars.

Duchess - It looks like whatever you want it to

Iwa Washi - Weird, it should not. Will look into it

Syngian - I'll add that for 3.1, nice little addition

Kargon - I'll look into it.

I've never had a problem with Thaddius polarity in 10 or 25 naxx, very perplexing =(

Bug: Thrusting Hodir's Spear Daily Quest

A word of caution: If you want a lot better chance of completing the Thrusting Hodir's Spear daily quest, then disable this mod first. It hides the counter on the grip icon.

Is there a way to adjust where the tooltip is anchored? I've got SBF place in the upper left of my screen and everytime I hover over a buff/debuff it gets hidden by the tooltip, I've got TipTac and it doesn't seem to want to anchor the buff tooltips either

Not sure if this is a bug or not, but the DK Frost Aura is not automatically detected. I.e. I cannot go to the spells tab, find "Frost Aura" and specify which frame I want it to appear in.

This is the only spell that I have had trouble with. Is there a way to manually add spells?

Also, it seems this is the only DK aura that has this problem. I'm assuming it stems from a clash between the Pally Frost Resistance Aura name, but I haven't dived into the code to verify it.

*Edit. Looks like I may have fixed it by changing some values in the SatrinaBuffFrame.lua file in the SavedVariables folder. Will edit again when I get a chance to group with a DK and confirm it's fixed.

* when a frame gets stuck this way, it will stay stuck until all buffs shown are gone, although that doesn't always seem to get it unstuck.
* when a frame is stuck, the bar lengths don't update at all, and the timers only update when the entire list is updated, i.e. when a buff is added or removed
* the length of stuck bars is based on position, i.e. the first bar will always have the same length, even if what buff it actually is changes as items move up or down on the list.
Same problem here.... !

I like this addon a lot, but this is getting annoying.

So unfortunately the tweaks in 3.0.7 didn't help much. The Obsidian Sanctum trash drakonids' curse is still displayed after being dispelled (counts down to zero and hangs around for a few seconds before going away), and Thaddius' polarity debuffs take 5-10 seconds to update after a switch. The latter is such a huge problem that I've had to just disable SBF for Thaddius. The problem seems to not be (de)buffs that expire on their own, but with (de)buffs that are removed before their natural expiration. It also seems to happen only in raid situations; I've never noticed it solo or in a 5-man party. Resto shaman, lvl 80, enUS client, US server. Almost-default settings; I can email you saved variables if you need them. I've also posted a ticket on your portal, though since none of them have responses I'm not sure how often you check that.

Where is the OmniCC support?
Well, SBF doesn't use cooldown models, so naturally it doesn't "support" OmniCC. Generally speaking, addons do not need to specifically support OmniCC. Any addon that uses a cooldown model "supports" OmniCC by default.

Is there currently a way for the buffs to "grow" from the middle? If not, is it possible?

Also, is there a way to adjust the height of status bars?

Any ETA on 3.1? I love this addon. I really want to be able to filter spells on my target however. Keep up the good work Satrina.

Hi question on the buff sorting.

How do I make it sort by aura/and no timers > highest timer > lowest timer.

I tried the two time sorts you have but they do not show it in that order.

Example. I'm a paladin so I have all my auras first then I use "Time Ascending" and the buffs go as this. Aura > 10min. buffs. This part is fine but if I use a less than 10min buff it goes, aura > less than 10min > 10min buff.
Paladin aura > Judgment of Light > Blessing of Wisdom. I want to have it.
Paldin aura > Blessing of Wisdom > Judgment of Light.

I try the other option of time and it just adds everything in that order backwards.
It shows it as higher timer > lower timer > aura 2/3 of that is what I want but don't want auras to be last but first.

So simply is there a way to show them in aura > highest time > lowest time.
As its listed as aura > lowest timer > highest timer and I don't want that.

heh nm on that I just had to keep looking at the settings. I forgot to turn on "Auras have max time" in the Global Options tab. All good.

These are the current issues I am having (with fancy screenshots!).

Debuff bar:

This bar is only intended to stretch just past the duration numbers.

Weapon Buff:

If I reapply the buff the bar stays at the previous duration's position while the timer resets to full.
