SBF has a maintainer!
I have to say, I am amazed by the number of people who just kept plugging along. It makes me feel bad that I do not have the time to keep working on this myself - you guys are all awesome! The good news is that a new maintainer has been found. Meet father0fnine, who is taking over SBF. I'm sure you'll all show him as much love as you showed me all these years
SBF 3.2 with clickable buffs

trying to set up a frame that takes "Horn of Winter" and only displays this icon when the buff reaches 30secs. I have the frame set to "whitelist". i have Horn of Winter set to "show". in my filters tab n=horn of winter. i then added d<30.
if i set "show buffs" to on then it shows horn of winter from full duration. if i set "show buffs" to off then horn of winter is not displayed at all. i have tried everything i can think of to make this frame work in the manor i'd like it too but i have failed. : p i'm just trying to have the frame display nothing until horn of winter reaches 30secs. at that moment the horn of winter icon shows. : D

Re: Bug Report!
Try running it with only SBF enabled. Try install updated Ace3 framework (available from WowAce). |

I may be have a two requests.
First, and what I need to get rid of other addon, is the "[de]buff stacking". Namely, I'm not interested in seeing 5-6 JoL applications on boss, especially if they aren't mine. The one icon with a (optional)stack counter and cooldown of the longest (or mine) debuff would be twice enough and probably ease the FPS moment. The second is somewhat complex and hard to implement, but it would allow to greater ease and flexibility of the frame setup. Add a "not in <given> frame" filter. There's an idea to make it work without being a CPU hog. Let's take a very simple example of two buff frames: Frame1[n~"blessing of"] and Frame2[exclude"Frame1"]. Every time a spell is cast on character, addon will check if it match a designated pattern. If it does - it will add that spell to the temporary whitelist table for frame 1, and, since Frame2 has Frame1 set to blacklist, it will automatically adds to temporary blacklist for Frame2. These temporary list are not visible and serve only as caching for addon speedup. You could retain these lists only at runtime, or drop them to SavedVariables and reset upon editing addon configuration - deleting a frame or the other way changing filters... up to you. |

Bug Report!
also, the only way I could see to get rid of all the "dummy" buff/debuffs is to reload the UI :/ This is the error: Date: 2009-12-09 03:17:07 ID: 6 Error occured in: Global Count: 1 Message: ..\AddOns\SBFOptions\SpellTab.lua line 113: attempt to compare number with nil Debug: (tail call): ? I know patch 3.3 is today, and I am nowhere near home right now due to yet another unexpected business trip. If anything breaks in the patch, please report here or by email. I will be back probably Friday.
Thanks! |

Hello Satrina!
I'm a long time user, infrequent commenter. I decided today that I wanted all of my buffs less than 30s remaining to be in their own frame for easy identification, so I took my buff frame (blacklisted) and added a filter "r<=30". I created another frame (whitelisted) and added the same filter. This all works as intended, buffs move from the main buff frame to the "short" buff frame right on time. The problem came with the layout. For some reason adding these filters causes the layout to sort by time ascending and ignore the sort drop down. Removing the filter allows both frames to immediately resort as selected. Selecting a different sort method with the filters in place does nothing. Perhaps there is another way to set them up to achieve the desired effect? I did not see this "bug" on your web page and considered that I might have a setup flaw. Or perhaps I've found a new way to break it? Edit: Correction, the sort method is completely ignored, buffs are showing up in a random order in the appropriate frames.

Brainh - That's weird. Make sure the frame isn't overlapped by something else?
Shahaf - The click menu should be back in 3.2 =) Kaelth - Yeah, SBF and kgpanels don't interact very well right now. That's something that I intend to address in 3.2 |
