SBF has a maintainer!
I have to say, I am amazed by the number of people who just kept plugging along. It makes me feel bad that I do not have the time to keep working on this myself - you guys are all awesome! The good news is that a new maintainer has been found. Meet father0fnine, who is taking over SBF. I'm sure you'll all show him as much love as you showed me all these years
SBF 3.2 with clickable buffs

Correct. You can also always just create the filter yourself: n=brain freeze. You do not need to wait for it to appear in the spells list.
The click menu will be back in 3.2!

mage Brain Freeze isn't in the spell list =O
note my mage is an alt that hasn't left dal since the patch, but i did notice on my priest with the new version that i couldn't filter in a buff off of my buffs into my proc window (like the old shift+click) which i figured i could get around the brain freeze issue with. is it just a buff my window hasn't picked up yet, and will add itself in there once it procs? |

In 3.2 I will be streamlining the timer code, allowing people to plug in their own modules with their own timer formats if they so choose, and probably adding such colouring options to the default timers since it is a reasonably common request.
Koyah - magic filters are a bid dodgy, yes, and ha definitely works better for curse/disease/poison. There's no real easy way to fix it. I should put the thing I wrote up about them on the SBF site. pexcer - will look into it. Probably something to do with flowing two different units together - not something I expected people to do! |

1 Exit WoW and comment out line ~685 in SBFFrame.lua: "-- slot.timer.text:SetVertexColor(colour.r, colour.g, colour.b)" 2 Paste this into your settings addon, if you have one, or another addon that you know will get loaded with WoW: Code:
SHORT_ONELETTER_ABBR = "|cFFFF2500%d|r" SECOND_ONELETTER_ABBR = "|cFFFF9900%d|r" MINUTE_ONELETTER_ABBR = "|cFFFFD200%d|cFFFFFFFFm|r" HOUR_ONELETTER_ABBR = "|cFFFFD200%d|cFFFFFFFFh|r" DAY_ONELETTER_ABBR = "|cFFFFD200%d|cFFFFFFFFd|r" Code:
SecondsToTimeAbbrev = function(s) if (s >= 86400) then return DAY_ONELETTER_ABBR, ceil(s/86400) end if (s >= 3600) then return HOUR_ONELETTER_ABBR, ceil(s/3600) end if (s >= 60) then return MINUTE_ONELETTER_ABBR, ceil(s/60) end if (s >= 5) then return SECOND_ONELETTER_ABBR, s end return SHORT_ONELETTER_ABBR, s end I know it's a hack but it's the least intrusive way I could think of. *This will probably break colouring timers by debuff type. |

Re: buff flowing error referencing self a nil value
There seems to be another bug with using bars, when the duration of the buff expires the bar flashes to double it's full length for a split second before disappearing. Thanks for the hard work, I love the flexibility |

I can't get the filters magic or buffs/debuffs I can dispell to work. If I set it to blacklist it will show everything including magic or buffs/debuffs I can dispell. Any idea what the problem is?

That's fixed for 3.1.5. It's a problem where when your vehicle is dismissed, SBF doesn't do an update of frames that are assigned to the vehicle unit to clear them.

Back when I was hacking "vehicle" into the unit ids list, I just lived with this, but now that you put it in there...
When I'm doing (for example) the Hodir daily Thrusting Hodir's Spear, and I'm engaged with the wyrm, both the vehicle-designated (de)buff frame and my target's buffs contain the Fight Wyrm debuff. When I complete the fight, and my player frame returns to its normal spot, that debuff is still stuck showing. Mousing over it shows nothing, so it appears the icon is just still there -- no duration or stack count number visible. Loading the options and then closing them removes it. This has happened with a few other vehicles and one time the frame assigned to "vehicle" actually seemed to get an array of the test buff icons that are shown with the configuration dialog up. I can't give you instructions to reproduce this latter example though. |

Kaaosa - I was just itching for a chance to use that I should do a mention on profiles in the setup questions as it's somewhat commonly asked
pexcer - will look into it, thanks! |

buff flowing error referencing self a nil value
I've setup a frame (frame 3) for player unit, whitelisted for buffs. I put a couple short duration proc buffs in it which work fine.
I have icons off, bars on, and name and duration on. I created another frame (frame 4) for target unit, whitelisted for debuffs. Then setup buff flow with frame 3 the parent and frame 4 the child. It works fine, shows the debuff in frame 3 but when the debuff runs out I get an error message. If I turn off names I don't get the error. |
