Satrina Buff Frames 3  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.1.25
by: Satrina, father0fnine

SBF has a maintainer!
I have to say, I am amazed by the number of people who just kept plugging along. It makes me feel bad that I do not have the time to keep working on this myself - you guys are all awesome! The good news is that a new maintainer has been found. Meet father0fnine, who is taking over SBF. I'm sure you'll all show him as much love as you showed me all these years

SBF 3.2 with clickable buffs
Go here: http://www.wowinterface.com/download...o.php?id=12524

Version 3.1.25

+ Added option in the spells tab to show/not show buffs by spellID
+ Added options in the global tab to show default buff frame and default enchant frame
+ SBFOptions will now make the background for names visible when configuring to help you not overlap the icons when positioning (which can cause clicks on icons to not register)

Version 3.1.23
+ Fix an error when tracking is enabled

Version 3.1.22
+ Added "id" filter for spell ID numbers
+ You should now be able to click off player buffs
+ Fixed problems with the colour picker
+ You can now remove/edit filters

- The scale slider has finally been removed. Use the individual sizing mechanisms on the tabs, and set spacing between buffs on the layout tab

Version 3.1.8

* Added the ability for users to add custom sounds for expiry warnings. See SatrinaBuffFrame/Media/SBFSounds.lua for directions
* When changing SBF profiles, the list of frames shown in ButtonFacade setup will update correctly

Version 3.1.7
3.1.7 is version bookkeeping to keep in sync with a massive fubar I had at Curse

* SBF will no longer allow you to try and flow buffs for different units. (There's no way to make that work without a major code revamp)
* Buff and Name help in non-English localisations has been updated with the current English version. Translators will need to re-translate them
* ha filters should behave a little bit better now
* Vehicle buff frames will update and clear when you exit a vehicle
* Hopefully (hopefully!) the overextending bar thing is gone finally.

* Cooldown sweeps should not flicker in combat now

* Added vehicle to the list of units for buff frames on the general tab

Version 3.1.0
* Filters now work completely for any unit

I think I fixed the error you were having originally in 3.1.3

In a brand new install, SBF should show all buffs in one frame and all debuffs in the other. Try opening the options with /sbf options, then click on the global tab at the bottom, then click the reset frames button. That should get you back to the basics and let you work from there.

Grombringal - Now that you can set icons and bars to any size you like, there's really no reason to use the scale slider instead of setting the size of elements directly. I meant to note that in the documentation, will do so. I'm likely going to remove the scale slider in 3.2 since scaling things large really gets funky.

The unresponsive first buff thing I'll look into again today. (Somehow the buff icon is getting set to a lower frame level than the buff frame containing it)

3.1 should colour the actual ButtonFacade skins now. Of course now that SBF does that there is some skin that it doesn't work with, typical =) I'll grab Apathy and see what I can see.
Well it looks as if tho its the sweeping icons settings that triggers it. I took it off and now my buffs show. I also use OmniCC. At the time i couldn't see Lightening Shield on my shammy and totems. Well tbh all i saw was the weapon buff

On a side note. i set sb1 to show just my buffs and sb2 to show my debuffs. But it don't seem to be working even before this update. I dunno what i'm doing wrong but some pointers wouldn't go a miss and i'd really appreciate it.

First, it takes about 3 seconds for the frame order to get arranged when you exit the options so if you're just closing options and checking immediately, you will see it briefly not respond. If it's really not working, very strange - it works fine for all 9 frames I have up for my mage right now. Any hints on your config would help.

Hm, I just reread what you wrote, and I gather you've been checking past the first few seconds. Grrr. Will mess around more and see what I can see.

It's working for the icons on my icon+bar frames 1 and 2 now, but it's still not working for the first icon in my 3rd frame, which is for auras+tracking and is icons-only (plus abbreviated names). Seems to be consistently broken even after UI reload, and persisting after entering and exiting config mode.

Edit: Tekkub's Spew is showing the following frames under the mouse for each of the first 3 icons in my frame #3:

Icon #1:
WorldFrame,
UIParent,
MinimapBackdrop,
SBFFrame3,
SBFBuffIcon57,
SBFBuffName57,
SBFBuffName58,
SBFBuffName59,
<Anon>

Icon #2:
WorldFrame,
UIParent,
MinimapBackdrop,
SBFFrame3,
SBFBuffName57,
SBFBuffIcon58,
SBFBuffName58,
SBFBuffName59,
<Anon>

Icon #3:
WorldFrame,
UIParent,
MinimapBackdrop,
SBFFrame3,
SBFBuffName57,
SBFBuffName58,
SBFBuffIcon59,
SBFBuffName59,
<Anon>

Edit 2: Moved the frame and turned off names to eliminate some stuff, but am still seeing the issue with the following list for the first icon:

Icon #1:
WorldFrame,
UIParent,
SBFFrame3,
SBFBuffIcon57,
<Anon>

Ah, I may have fixed the ButtonFacade thing where the icons like to sit on top of the BF skins. Will test in raid tonight and see!

Buff flowing literally moves buffs from one frame into another, so there's no way to add a space. Sticky frames in 3.2 are what you want.

I'm just setting up my bars with the new version and I'm having an issue. I have Bar 1 set to show "!a" buffs with just a small icon in a row at the top of the screen. The problem is that the first icon is always non-interactive. No tooltips, no clickability, nothing. It's always the icon at the anchor if that helps.

I also have one question. I have buff 2 holding my non-aura buffs and buff 3 flowing into buff 2 with my debuffs. Anyway I can automatically put a space between 2 and 3? Basically I want them all lined up but with a small break where the buffs end and the debuffs begin.

Not sure what triggered it, I just noticed that it was broken after I had done some raiding & heroics and was back in Dalaran. I'm going to pay more attention and see if I can figure anything out though if it happens again.

Right a further update, concerning the flashing buffs while in combat, turns out it is not related to "alt-tabbing" as I had thought. Is it not possible to have the OmniCC cooldown displayed without having the cooldown spiral?

Hi Satrina

Thanks for the big update, really liking it so far.
I've encountered some issues tho, hope I'm not retarded and missed something:
-I can't interact with the tracker (first thing in my buff list if it can help)
-You can't set the Scale in the Layout tab to 1.9
-The color around debuffs (like green for poison, blue for magic etc...) seems to be missing, I'm using Button Facade Apathy it might be coming from here

I'm using the 3.1.2 version btw =)

Hm, it's unlikely there's anything I can do about that. I didn't do anything fancy at all with cooldown sweeps and used much the same code as in bar addons. Will take a look, though.

Networkerror: Combat/Out of combat fading is a request I've had reasonably frequently, and may appear in 3.2 as a built-in feature. Parenting to kgPanels is also pretty frequent, and you could definitely parent to your pitbull frames to take advantage of it that way as well, yep!

Yeah, I added back the negation operator in a more general way than when I initally implemented it in beta. I should go fix the documentation since it should work with pretty much all filter commands now.

I'm pretty perplexed at the unresponsive icon thing, given how I addressed it last night. Will check! If you could give me steps to try and recreate it, that'd be awesome.
Ok I have narrowed it down a bit more, I have now realised that the flashing only occurs after I have alt-tabbed out of the game and come back. After having logged on normally it works just fine.
