Minimap Button Frame  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.1.10f
by: Bachlott [More]

This little addon will gather up all of your addon minimap buttons and put them into a movable frame.

Features

- Minimap Button Skinning (Square Minimap Buttons)
- Add or Remove almost any minimap button
- Multiple Sorting Options - Including Custom!
- Collection of Blizzard Buttons
- Collect only the buttons you want
- Background Color can be changed from the config screen
- Hide most of the Blizzard Minimap Icons
- LDB Support
- Key Bindings
- Profile Support
- Basic Localization in English, Spanish, French, German, Korean, Russian, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional)

Future Features

- Full LDB version of MBF

Known Issues

Metamap minimap button is incompatable due to the way it is handled in the addon.

The addon does not grab button that do not have a name currently.

Currently discovered addons that are this way are:

Enchantrix (Part of Auctioneer Advanced)
onRaid

The Blizzard buttons that only show up under certain conditions, (battleground, LFG) will only display on the Frame when they are shown normally and active scanning is enabled. Otherwise they will apprear on the minimap when they are shown.

The Add feature is a little more powerful than I originally expected. So you can accidentally grab things that you didn't expect to be able to. (Other Addons) I've tried to protect the blizzard interface features and a couple other things, but let me know if you can grab something that you don't think you should be able to. If you do accidentally add something to the bag you can always remove it.

I've added a lot to the Localization, so it's another quick and dirty, horrible translation. Thanks again for the crazyness Google. So if you can do a better translation please help me out and submit it to me so I can add it to MBF. Hopefully Google didn't make them too funny or offensive.

Note:

The ability to add minimap icons to the table can be a general or partial name of the icons. The button override table add should be the exact name of the button that you want to override and collect.

As always your feedback is more than welcome!

Re: Re: Calendar Icon

@Ferkassus

How many buttons do you have on it. I'll try to see exactly how it's adjusting it and see if I can convince it to play nice.

You were right. Sexymap has options to show/on hover/hide icons though i had the options of allowing it to handle button visibility disabled. Thanks =)

I had this exact problem and it turned out to be Fubar's Location_FU was disabling the minimap icon... Check *Any* map addon you have to see if any of them have the minimap day/night or calendar icon disabled (they are the same button). Or in the case of Fubar Location_Fu -- "minimap bar"

I have this issue. Great, that my minimap addon supports calendar toggle through right-clicking on current time.

Another bug that makes me sick (I'm really really annoyed about it) is the "MBF" bar changes orientation depending on how many icons it has. It is "horisontal, drops down on right click" by default, but when it wants - it changes to "vertical, drops right on right click". If I set "alternative location" it goes to "horisontal, drops top" and when it wants - to "vertical, drops left". Extremely annoying and messes the whole UI.

@ Kudane: Yeah CT_Mod is one I've always had problems with. At first it never worked then it got fixed. I'll check into it to see what it's doing now.

Love this addon!

Only button I can not get it to grab is the CT_Mod icon. I went into the CT_Core.Lua and made sure it had a name (CTMod2_MinimapButton) but even when I add that name to the "should be a button" list it will not grab it.

Might want to add CT_Mod to your list of known addons that it won't grab.

Thanks for the awesome work!

Re: Help!

@exalteduser:

Well I'd have to say thats a new one for me. I'm running omen and I'm not getting that error. It could be sexymap or either Omen or MBF or one of the Libraries aren't updated properly. I'll go through and make sure that the Libraries that MBF uses haven't been updated.

The most recent version of MBF should be capturing it.

There are settings that allow you to choose what side the bar is on.

Bachlott deserves the thanks, since it's his addon. I just did some graphics which he was kind enough to include in it. Anyway, I'm glad they work for you now. I was starting to wonder if I did something weird that they weren't working.

The only reason I can think of for the "clean" look in my picture, is the background. It might be obscuring any pixilation that may be occurring, as I play on a laptop with integrated graphics processing.

I normally keep my MBF set at 0.9 for scale, but I tried it at the smallest setting available in MBF (0.5) and the graphics still worked. Here's a picture for you.

I left my Carbonite Quest Watch in the picture for size comparison.

This is by no means an empirical test, but it leads me to believe the problem might be on your end. Maybe another addon is causing interference?
