Minimap Button Frame  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 3.1.10c
by: Bachlott [More]
This little addon will gather up all of your addon minimap buttons and put them into a movable frame.

Features

- Minimap Button Skinning (Square Minimap Buttons)
- Add or Remove almost any minimap button
- Multiple Sorting Options - Including Custom!
- Collection of Blizzard Buttons
- Collect only the buttons you want
- Background Color can be changed from the config screen
- Hide most of the Blizzard Minimap Icons
- LDB Support
- Key Bindings
- Profile Support
- Basic Localization in English, Spanish, French, German, Korean, Russian, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional)

Future Features

- Full LDB version of MBF

Known Issues

Metamap minimap button is incompatable due to the way it is handled in the addon.

The addon does not grab button that do not have a name currently.

Currently discovered addons that are this way are:

Enchantrix (Part of Auctioneer Advanced)
onRaid

The Blizzard buttons that only show up under certain conditions, (battleground, LFG) will only display on the Frame when they are shown normally and active scanning is enabled. Otherwise they will apprear on the minimap when they are shown.

The Add feature is a little more powerful than I originally expected. So you can accidentally grab things that you didn't expect to be able to. (Other Addons) I've tried to protect the blizzard interface features and a couple other things, but let me know if you can grab something that you don't think you should be able to. If you do accidentally add something to the bag you can always remove it.

I've added a lot to the Localization, so it's another quick and dirty, horrible translation. Thanks again for the crazyness Google. So if you can do a better translation please help me out and submit it to me so I can add it to MBF. Hopefully Google didn't make them too funny or offensive.

Note:

The ability to add minimap icons to the table can be a general or partial name of the icons. The button override table add should be the exact name of the button that you want to override and collect.

As always your feedback is more than welcome!

Does anyone know of any tricks to get Recount to be directed to this. and if not, i know its sort of out of the scope of this addon, but i think a launcher type feature would be great, like make a custom button assigned to "recount show" etc. thanks

I decided to make a full reset of my UI today and make a new one. Downloaded the latest version of Minimap Button Frame, but I get this Lua error on logging in:

Tried disabling all other addons, didn't help.

The button frame itself can be used, however it's extremely buggy and random in what buttons it collects, and it's stuck in the top right corner and cannot be moved.

Redownloaded today and now it's working. Something must have gone wrong during the download, so nevermind my comment.

My apologies if this has been asked before. I used to use this addon awhile back then wiped my UI completely to try to clean it up and never reinstalled this one until today. Still love it, just run in to one little issue. For some reason my tracking button is off center from the rest of them. I have my frame vertical (one column) and that button is a little left of the rest (if I have it horizontal, its slightly above the rest).

Not a deal breaker or anything, just kinda annoying and figured I'd throw it out there.

Having a similar issue as thetakerfan, only with my "No Mail" button. I took two screenshots to show what the problem is.
The first one shows the normal layout and the second one the layout when the LFG button comes into play. In both cases the "No Mail" button is out of line.
Thanks

Tracking button

The Blizzard tracking button for some reason will only go into the second slot of the MBF frame. The next button in the list is then placed over the top of the tracking button. I tried deleting the settings file in the WTF folder and it still does the same thing.

The next version of Archy will check for MBF and add itself to the protected frames list if it's not on it already.

hi

Am having an issue w/ this and chinchilla minimap. I have posted a message on chinchilla's comment, but I thought I would here too in case someone reading this, or the author of MBF might have an idea as to why my buttons in MBF are all smashed together and over lapping when I got the chinchilla map addon. I have removed and re-downloaded both, yet the issue is not resolved. I also disabled chinchilla to see MBF working flawlessly as before. I would love to be able to use both addons, so hoping there is something that can be done to make them work together.
thanks

How do I get this working properly for ElvUI. It seems to drag / reposition the UI skin/button for the minimap instead of the minimap buttons.

I read that putting it in the exception part will fix this, but not sure what to add to the exceptions. Can anyone help?

I really did not want to sift through 30 pages of posts to see if this has already been said, so forgive me if it has. I'm getting a little tired of my frame moving itself when I switch characters. Say it's in the perfect spot on my priest.. on any other character, it mysteriously moves higher by a certain amount (sometimes double) or lower than where I originally placed it. If I fix it, say, on my warrior, then when I go back to my priest, the placement has changed (moving up or down depending on how I needed to fix it on the other toon). Is there a way to keep the damn thing still and not move around while switching toons?
