Hal's UI   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Updated (10/22/08)

3.0 COMPATIBLE VERSION IS UP!

***Note***
The UI is currently lacking a bank bag addon as OneBank has not yet been updated for 3.0. I will re-upload a new version of the UI when it becomes available.

----

//Hal v8.3.0 (1680x1050 - smallest UI scale)

High Quality Screenshots viewable here

//Installation:

1. Backup your Fonts, WTF, and Interface folders. Delete the originals.

2. Copy contents of Hal_v8.3.0 into your WoW directory.

3. Rename YOURACCOUNTNAME, YourServerName, and YourCharacterName to the appropriate names.

4. Make additional copies of YourCharacterName for every character you want to use the UI for.

5. Re-install any additional mods from your backup Interface folder.

6. Log in, check your enabled mods list, enter game, fix any layout problems.

//8.3.0 FAQS:

Q: My mods aren't appearing in the correct position and/or don't look right!
A: Some mods do not load the Default profile by default (go figure), but rather one named after your character/server. Open up the mod's config menu and double check that the Default profile is loaded; this will cure 90% of the problems people are having. Here are a few I've had people ask about:

/sldt SLDataText (Clock/Ping/Etc)
/bf ButtonFacade (button textures)
/bt4 Bartender4 (action bars)
/quartz (casting bars)

If loading the Default profile doesn't remedy the problem, make sure that you followed the installation instructions. Some success has been had by repeating the deletion of old Interface/WTF folders and reinstalling.

//Notes:

1.)

Some configuration WILL be necessary. I have no way of ensuring everything
will look precisely as it does in the screenshots. If something isn't showing
up in the right place, or random mods are enabled that shouldn't be (i.e. Pitbull modules), please try to figure it out on your own before posting your question. I'm super busy these days with my RL design job and am very bad about answering questions promptly.

Also: A big thank you to everyone who has answered questions during my often lengthy absences!

2.)

Now that WinAceUpdater is defunct, I use the Curse Client to update mods. Downloading external libs is no longer automated, so I've gone back to using embedded ones in 8.3.0. Most of you couldn't care less about this!

3.)

Backups of border textures are included inside of relevant mods' folders.
-Updating typically overwrites my modified files, so use the backups to restore things as necessary.
-i.e. Inside of Pitbull_Aura you will see "_border (Hal's Backup).tga"
-Gotwood also has a backup texture.

Good luck, have fun, stay classy.

-Hal

The UI Scale is already at 0.64 (minimum) but the panels etc. do not fit to the screen.

It's a very nice UI, the first one I cared to download and use other than my own.
Very nice work

Sorry for bothering and my bad english.
that's cuz it's not made for your resolution. It's for 1680x1050. If it doesn't scale, you use another resolution. Don't ask for adjustments, do it yourself, and be grateful it's even downloadable. If you can't do it yourself, don't use it.

Thanks very much Hal! Also, please don't burn yourself out on answering questions... it's not hard to use it or figure out how to change it people just need to learn to experiment I've already ripped it all up and remade it for 1920x1200 res with changes for myself (of course i wont release it as it's your UI and they can do the same thing easily on their own systems)

Thanks again!

due to my monitor not being wide screen, I figured I'd have trouble installing this pack, so I normally don't bother with addon packs, but it's just to awesome to give up on.
Here's what it looks like right now:

I only have 1 question on how to fix it at the moment... But I'll probably end up with more trouble. (Stupid 1152x864 resolution. It's the only one that works well with my monitor. >.<)Anyways, what's the name of the mod that's making the boxes? I know the bar mod is bartender, so I should be able to fix that... and... that's all I can think of right now. Thanks for putting together such an awesome compilation!
It's eepanels

On another note, Thanks a LOT for uploading your UI Hal, greatly appreciated. I got it to work just fine, actually 100% identical to your screenshots.

And as posted, it's on the smallest size ui scale, aka you need to enable ui scale and move it all the way left. God, the intellect of some people.. Can't even read.

Anyway, Thanks a lot Hal!

Check your UI scale and make sure it's set to the smallest possible. I updated the zip with the Config file for those that want it.
