As you might know im working on gHUD2 which is a complete rewrite and would like to get some feedback and suggestions, i created a forum thread where you can post what you think of it:O

http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/s...501#post122501

''' BEFORE INSTALLING A NEW VERSION CLOSE WOW AND DELETE THE gHUD FOLDER '''

my goal was to create a simple hud where the party is included so i have a better overwiev whats going on.

i have a lot of things on my list which i want to add like clickcasting, options to hide frames at certain conditions (for example if you join a raid, the party will hide), option to hide the original frame and so on.

im at a point where i could use some beta testers for some infos about whats good and whats bad.

if you have any suggestions about changes or improvements for this addon feel free to write them here.

picking nits :)

ljI think this is a very useful and good addon and it's the only HUD I use. That said I echo DarkKnight1713s points plus a niggle that has disturbed me:

The Outline font is unreadable for me so I'd like to change it to normal or bold and bump the font size a bit but these 2 changes don't stick; on every zoning or restart, everything resets to the default settings. Would it be possible to change it so these changes stick?

Thank you for a great addon. I'd be lost without addons like this.

Re: Suggestions for Improvement

@DarkKnight1713: thanks for your feedback.

1. im not sure if i will add a castbar because there are many great castbar addons out there which are very good.

2. this is already on the todo list but i had no time to look into it. also there are some other problems that need to be adressed first, like the performance issue with the flashing bars.

3. thats a nice idea and should be a small change, i will add it to my list and look what i can do.

im also planing on "rewriting" the addon but it wont be a hud-addon it will be more like a hud/frame creator where you can decide what frames you want to create and so on. i dont know yet when im ready to start writing it but im planing on incuding a lot more than in ghud.

Suggestions for Improvement

I like the look of this combat HUD. I've been using ArcHUD for a while now, but I don't use most of it's features. I think this could potentially be a great replacement for it. I say potentially because there are 3 issues I have with it.

1. The lack of a castbar/mirrorbar. These should be stock with any HUD in my opinion.

2. The lack of profiles. I see that it saves each characters layout independently, but it would be nice to have a shared layout instead of redoing it for every alt.

3. I use unit frames as well as a HUD. It's redundant information, but I like having both visible. That being said, is there a way you could make it so people can click through the bars, instead of clicking on them? I.e...I would like to be able to target or loot something behind a bar instead of opening the unit frame menu.

Other than that it's a great addon. Well done.
