MailNotifier is no longer maintained on WoWInterface. For the latest release, check Curse.

MailNotifier is a small addon that has two purposes: tracking how many unread mails the player has in the inbox and alerting him when new mail is received (plays a sound and flashes the minimap mail button).

Features

Tracks how many unread mails you have
Alerts the player when new mail is received
No configuration needed

Limitations

Except when the player visits the inbox, it's impossible to know exactly how many unread mails he has. This is why Mail Notifier can only detect mails received while playing, and by comparing the mail senders list at login (ex: If you have 1 sender when you logout and 3 when you login, obviously you have at least received 2 more mails).

Generic SavedVariable file shows "Jaliborc_WentCurse = true" after a blank line, so I assume that must be correct. I'll see if the blank line did anything, and then paste it into the char specific files.

I can reproduce it. Logged in on two different characters, got the message both times. Logged out & back in on the second, still comes up.

That's a bug pal, you can report the bug or rage about it like you done before, but only one gets it fixed.

this window appears every time, i log in with any char, not only on first use. so you can call it "telling one what to do".
